Appointments this week? Yes, I have my GD test and prenatal on Wednesday.
Symptoms? My muscles are definitely more achy and I'm having more trouble getting up. And heartburn sucks!
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? We're packing up our place to get ready to move in the next couple months and my SIL is planning a small sprinkle for family so baby boy may actually have clothes!
Rants/Raves/Questions: Just started kick counts. Seriously, how are we already at this point?? And baby boy is so much more chill than the girls were. I hope this is a sign!
GTKY: What is your biggest fear about baby arriving? How are you preparing yourself for it? I'm worried about balancing three kids at once. Thankfully my DH is taking off 3 weeks but he's already voiced that he wants to work on our future house during that time. Seriously??
Appointments this week? Yep, regular appointment and GD test on Thursday. This will be my first appointment since I told them I'm moving before the birth. I wonder what they'll have to say about that.
Symptoms? Heartburn is THE WORST. I might have tweaked my back as it has been killing me all week. Been sleeping terribly, too, which I always helpful. I also feel like I've been kicked in the crotch a few times, too. It's all quite tender and swollen down there. I'm guessing it's from all the extra blood and fluid congregating down in that general area, but it's definitely a new symptom I don't recall having during my first pregnancy. In positive symptoms, my hair and nails look great.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? Again, lolz. Nothing of note. Well, maybe that's not true. I was waffling between two midwifery practices up in Maine and really couldn't decide which one I wanted to go with, but I finally made a decision and called them up. No appointment made yet, but I've requested that my current practice release my records to the new one up in Maine. So, progress!
Rants/Raves/Questions: Getting a house ready to put on the market suuuuuuuuuucks.
GTKY: What is your biggest fear about baby arriving? How are you preparing yourself for it? Probably mostly concerned with how DD is going to handle the change of having a little sister and all the other transitions coming up with a big move. We've been talking to her about baby sister, and we're working on getting her into her own bed full time. I think the fact that we'll be near to a lot of my family and friends will be great for her, though.
Appointments this week? Surprisingly no, but plenty are coming
Symptoms? really just a lot of movement and the occasional sciatic nerve pain
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? LOL
Rants/Raves/Questions: I have gestational diabetes again so that kinda sucks.
GTKY: What is your biggest fear about baby arriving? How are you preparing yourself for it? I'm worried that having 2 kids will stress me out too much. I'm glad my daughter will be almost 5 when the baby is here though.
Team Blue, Pink, Green? Team blue, we are welcoming our second son to our family
Appointments this week? Nope
Symptoms? Can't control my bladder when I cough
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? I've registered at the hospital, and all the baby clothes are out.
GTKY: What is your biggest fear about baby arriving? How are you preparing yourself for it? I hope the baby arrives on schedule (not early) so my MIL can watch our son and keep his routine. We have some friends lined up who are emergency backup.
How far along are you? 27 weeks. @Blueberry85 are you counting this as week 1 of 3rd tri or last week of 2nd tri?
Team Blue, Pink, Green? Pink
Appointments this week? None this week unless she wants to see me tmrw after my elevated BP over the weekend.
Symptoms? Out of breath, tired all the time, starving.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? This month we are working on stockpiling non baby items. (TP, PT, Kleenex, and laundry detergent)
Rants/Raves/Questions: My elevated BP is annoying. But I must rave on my DH, he's just been so great lately.
GTKY: What is your biggest fear about baby arriving? How are you preparing yourself for it? As a FTM my biggest fear is L&D. Like exactly how bad does it hurt? Trying to read up on stories and things I can do to prepare.
@pinkshades05 Yeah, I don't think they'll be difficult about it (I mean, I'm moving 1000+ miles away. It's not like I could keep using their practice), I just wonder what they'll say.
@Taylor72 I would probably say week 28 is the start of the third tri, but I don't think anyone would mind if you say you're in the third tri now Plus, tomorrow is exactly three months until our due date...
Appointments this week? Regular appointment Monday
Symptoms? Heartburn and my tailbone really aches lately, especially when I get up from a sitting position.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? not much this week.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Why do birth classes have to be every week at a specific location?? I really want to take Bradley or Hypnobabies, but DH's schedule will not allow for it. I wish there were more options here.
GTKY: What is your biggest fear about baby arriving? How are you preparing yourself for it? 1- I am afraid of splitting my attention between a baby and a toddler. Anyone have advice for someone getting ready to have 2u2? 2- DH told me last night his company has an "announcement", That usually only happens when they restructure the store level. He is afraid he is going to lose his job next week. I was really looking forward to him being home for 3 weeks after baby, but if he has to get a new job he won't be able to use FMLA.
Appointments this week? No but I'm going to probably take my GD test on Friday. We can stop by the lab any time we want once the order is in so I'm just going to duck out early and take it.
Symptoms? Tons of kicks, and tons of pelvic bone/hip pain--especially when I go to stand up. Sometimes I feel like a sumo wrestler trying to stand up.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? Nothing...but I did buy a mattress protector for DS's new bed so I figure that's a win...
Rants/Raves/Questions: I wish DH would just step up all the way and help around the house like I need him too. This has been a much harder pregnancy that DS was and I have a hard time cleaning, especially the way that I like to. DH will do a little of this, a little of that, and never finish anything completely. It drives me crazy! Usually he's amazing and so helpful during pregnancy, but the cleaning thing or even just picking up a little around the house drives me bananas.
GTKY: What is your biggest fear about baby arriving? How are you preparing yourself for it? I'm nervous about being alone with DS and LO once DH goes back to work. Idk how much time he's getting, but probably not more than a week--which is fine bc its more than he got at his old job. DS had a horrible time sleeping until he was 7w, and all I can focus on right now was the insane exhaustion I felt--especially that last week where he completely stopped sleeping. I know it'll be ok and that tons of moms do it every day, but right now the anxiety is starting to kick in.
Re: Sunday Ticker Change (1/8)
I'm worried about balancing three kids at once. Thankfully my DH is taking off 3 weeks but he's already voiced that he wants to work on our future house during that time. Seriously??
