I'm stuck with mostly hospital food for meals. I do have lots of healthy snacks here though, so I've been eating tons of Greek yogurt, fruit, and veggies and hummus. I want pizza so bad, an entire pizza, just to myself hahaha
@Koukonei Are you bound by the hospital food? Or can DH or family smuggle you in a pizza? HAHA!! I hate hospital food. I was hospitalized at 34 weeks for a whole week with DS and I lost a ton of weight because the hospital food was just so disgusting...
Still on a carb/breakfast food lifestyle. No shocker there. On a big chocolate binge currently. Dove milk chocolate just really hits the spot. Currently having a craving for Kraft Mac and cheese as well.
@KirstinH88 I'd say go with #1. I'm all about the cheese right now. Haha. @wagnerw kraft Mac n cheese sounds amazing. And @Koukonei I'm so sorry! That sounds gross and I hope you get a pizza soon!
I'm usually so good about pacing myself. I eat things in moderation and haven't really ever had trouble with that. But since the second trimester hit I've suddenly become unable to stop eating when I start. Cookies, truffles, homemade candy, all the sweets. Also all the carbs. But since I'm back on prenatals with iron I'm also having to combat that with a lot of salads and fiber. Oatmeal and fig newtons are my jam right now.
DH's birthday is tomorrow and wants to go get a nice steak. But anything with an excess of protein is absolutely horrible for the heartburn, so I can only assume a steak would be murderous. Maybe he can have the steak and I'll have something else.
Was really craving Panera tomato soup the other day so I went and got some. I love those cheesy croutons they put in it too.
Thanks for the votes everyone! I had Option #1. It was ok. I thought it would be cheesier and gooey-er, but meh. I probably should have went with the burger. Oh well! Baby is fed!
Now, I'm on to candy!!! Cuz my sweet tooth never goes away!
I went grocery shopping for the week. Only way I'll stay motivated to cook throughout the week is if I plan meals and buy all the ingredients. As I was going down the aisle, cottage cheese caught my eye! I just downed an 8oz tub of cottage cheese...wish I would have gotten a bigger size. So delicious!
Our favorite spaghetti recipe has cottage cheese in it! You put the cottage cheese in the food processor with basil, garlic, and Parmesan, then mix it in with the noodles, sauce, and meatballs and bake it like a spaghetti casserole. DELICIOUS!
I'm so sad but nothing really sounds or tastes good. For the first time in 7 months I wanted chicken today so my wonderful DH went out in zero degree weather to get me some KFC. Bless his heart. Then I wanted tomato salad(diced tomato, cucumber, avocado, dressed with soy and wasabi. It was good but still didn't satisfy. I just want something to be good. Isn't pregnancy when you are supposed to enjoy food?
@KirstinH88 yes! I usually make the spaghetti and put it on the side and have a little with each bite as my husband's not open to trying it haha.. but even not pregnant I need cottage cheese whenever I have spaghetti.. it's delicious! I honestly grew up thinking this was "the norm" because my mom and brother both eat it like this too..
DH made bread pudding with apple bourbon sauce last night. It was so good! I had no idea he could cook like that. He's been holding out on me for 12 years. Now I'm just waiting for DS to take his nap so I can polish it off without having to share.
I was craving snickerdoodles but didn't want to bake them. DH actually rummaged around and found a box of really decent gluten free/vegan snickerdoodles we got in a freebie bag of food from our neighbors. Happy pregnant me.

Also, constantly hungry. Never enough food.
Also all the pub food. I can't wait to work tonight to eat all the food I haven't been able to eat bc of morning Sickness!

I vote option 1. That sounds freaking delicious.
I am currently eating candy hearts. Glucose test is still a couple of weeks away, so a few (or the whole bad, whatever) can't hurt, right?

I'm not the kind of person who takes pictures of their food, but I knew this one would be epic.
