First or middle name?

I know I want to call my baby girl Bea, or Bee. The only Bea name DH likes is Beatrix. I'm on the fence about it.
So my question is, should we go with what my husband loves - Beatrix Noel, or should we use Bee as a middle name.. and call her that, but find a different first name?

Beatrix is really refreshing. It will be cute on a little girl and it's a name she can definitely grow into and put on a resume.

Another point to consider, you don't have to name her bee or any other name to use Bee as a nn. My teenage years my parents called me Name-bug, and one of my friends picked up on that and called me Name-Bee. None of my initials were a B.

I always side with first name. Going by your middle name just makes it complicated for no reason. I like Beatrix. I think you could use any B name and get away with the nn. Bailey, Belle, Bethany

Agree with a pp that Bee or Bea doesn't have to be a part of her name. If you love your choices, that's one thing, but if you are stretching just to accommodate a nn then you should keep looking. You could expand into all girl's names that start with a B.

If you really like Beatrix then go with that.

If you're not sold, see if you can agree on any other girls name that starts with a B.
