I go in this afternoon at 4 weeks 3 days, then again on Friday. I woke up to a small amount of light spotting today, but spotted a few times with my last successful pregnancy, so just getting tested for peace of mind.
@sourkim betabase.info is a good reference for HCG ranges. You're well within the range for a singleton but it could be multiples! Just have to wait and see!!

4 weeks 3 days: 57. Still in the "normal" range, but low compared to others. I go in for my next draw tomorrow but won't get results until Monday (torture).
However, I've still been spotting and with my number being so low compared to others, I don't have a lot of hope right now. Preparing myself for the worst right now. But if anyone has success stories from past pregnancies that began with lower HCGs, I'm all ears. I could use a bit of hope! At this point last pregnancy with my son, my pee sticks were darker than the control line. Right now, they're still not the same color yet.
So very happy for all of you and wish you all the best!

I am thinking of you and sending you all of the sticky baby thoughts!
@jen83mn I'll be thinking about you! Although my numbers are higher than yours, I will tell you that I've been taking pregnancy test every day like a crazy person and this morning was the first day that the line was darker than control. I am 4 weeks 5 days today and every day prior to this it took forever for the other line to show up.
@jen83mn have hope girl! Mine were at 81 and they said they were concerned then my next numbers flew up and my progesterone is just on the low side of normal so I'm taking a supplement to be safe and my doc said she's not worried at all anymore. Everyone is different I'll be sending you good vibes and prayers
@sugarpixxie2 Thank you for the encouragement! I did take another pregnancy test tonight (like you, I've been obsessed!) and it was darker than it was yesterday, even without first morning urine, so I'm hoping that's a good sign. It's so hard to wait until Monday for actual results!
@Breath_Easy92 Thank you! Did they automatically test your progesterone along with the HCG or is that something I should ask for? I didn't have any issues with my first successful pregnancy with progesterone, but not sure if that can change pregnancy to pregnancy?
@jen83mn I'm having some spotting, too. My nurse assured me that it's really ok as long as it's not bright red, but it messes with the mind so much. Hang in there and fx for increasing numbers. I'm not sure if this is standard practice, but progesterone is not automatically checked with hcg at my ob. It's ordered separately. So it might be worth mentioning it just to make sure.

@ChelleCPA Yes, it's always scary to see that when pregnant! I actually had quite a bit of spotting with my firstborn throughout his pregnancy ... after sex, after cervical exams, after bowel movements. I had a very sensitive cervix and have a fibroid which has a tendency to cause spotting as well. Makes for a very nervewrecking pregnancy! But with my son, the spotting didn't start until a bit later and didn't seem to be as often as I'm experiencing now, so I'm a bit more worried this time around.
I think I'll call tomorrow to see if they can test for progesterone while they're at it too tomorrow. It would just be good to know regardless of the outcome. Thank you!
@jen83mn I got blood work done because I insisted I felt like something was wrong. Don't know if it anxiety or intuition haha but you can ask they can test it with the hcg easy
Thank you! I woke up today with heavier spotting and a lighter pregnancy test than last night, and I feel so different than I did with my first pregnancy, I think I just have that intuition that this isn't meant to be. However, I will be calling to request they test my progesterone levels too, just so I know if that was an issue at all so we can be prepared for next time we start trying.
I had no progesterone issues with my first pregnancy with my son, but I'm sure that can change from pregnancy to pregnancy. Thank you for your help!
My hcg is 0 but im 4 weeks 4 days i have a healthy 9 year old daughter that never showed hcg i had to beg them for ultra sounds cause of my nausea and missed period
@momitob5 I'm sorry but if your blood work shows 0 hcg, you're not pregnant. It sounds like you ovulated much later than normal, which can happen. There are lots of reasons for a "missed period"!

Just thought I'd check in and post an update. I won't receive my second HCG numbers or progesterone levels until Monday, but as I mentioned before, I've been spotting since Wednesday and my HCG was only 57 at 4 weeks 3 days, which is pretty low but still in the "normal" range. Since then, my pregnancy tests have been getting lighter and my spotting has gotten heavier.
Today I began bleeding heavier, like a light period bleed, along with a lower backache. I'm fairly certain I've had a chemical pregnancy, as my bleeding began less than a week after I received my first positive test and my HCG levels were so low. I also have no pregnancy symptoms, whereas with my son's pregnancy, I had already began having symptoms at this time and my pregnancy tests were getting darker.
It's been really tough emotionally as this is our first loss after a very easy first pregnancy, but now that I've come to accept it (rather than be in denial), things have been easier and I'm just hoping the process is quick so we can move on and start to heal. We will probably take a break from TTC for awhile and start trying again in June.
I will update you all on the numbers on Monday, but just wanted to say thank you all for your thoughts and support and I'm rooting for all of you!!
Note: Also, I just want to reassure anyone else who may be spotting right now that this is not always the outcome. I had spotting throughout my first pregnancy, beginning at 5 weeks 3 days, including spotting after sex and cervical exams due to a really sensitive cervix while pregnant, as well as after bowel movements (from a uterine fibroid on the outside wall). I now have a healthy 16-month-old little guy, so please don't jump to the worst if you are experiencing spotting! In my experience, my spotting would only last a day or two and was super light, only when wiping, and never got worse. This time around it's been very different as it's been constant spotting which turned into more of a period-like bleed.
@jen83mn I'm so sorry things aren't looking good. I was so hoping you would check in with a different kind of update. I hope you are able to keep your positive outlook and that things go better for you next time!
