1. How far along are you? 18+2

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Really just wondering if my boobs are destined to be sore for the rest of eternity? I thought by 2nd tri they were supposed to stop hurting so much...

3. When is your next appointment? Thursday morning anatomy scan! Trying to not let myself get too nervous for it, but I'm mostly excited to have another u/s. Last u/s was early Nov.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions: Within the last 4 days I have finally started feeling movement, and it's the best feeling ever! I love lying down to go to sleep at night and just focusing on the little dance party going on in my uterus. This past weekend DH and I cleared out the room that will be the baby's room (which included about a thousand trips out to the trash/recycling and our cars) and every time I would sit down to take a little break I could feel my little lady bouncing around in there!

QOTW: Have you thought about how you want to decorate your baby's nursery? Would love to hear your ideas! I keep changing my mind, but I think I've settled on a Paris theme. We've picked a French name for our baby and I have French heritage, so it seems fitting. I've also toyed with the idea of doing a Disney princess theme (DH and I are huuuuuuuge Disney fans, and I know if we were having a boy DH would insist on doing a Star Wars themed nursery), and an ocean theme. But I am loving all the cute Paris things I'm finding online and at Hobby Lobby!

I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow. I was having some heartburn when I would go to bed but it seems to have let up. No appointments until the end of the month. I've been having the crazy urge to nest lately, ugh. My nursery is going to be giraffe themed. I like giraffes. The walls will be a teal color.

16 weeks!
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week?
Ugh bloating, gas and indigestion.  I had a random return of nausea for three days last week which seems to be gone again thank goodness.  Also sore hips/legs at night so it's hard to sleep.
3. When is your next appointment? 
Wednesday, regular prenatal.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions:
My biggest rave is that I'm feeling movement now which I'm 99% sure is the baby, so exciting!
@wifeinraleigh28 I also still have sore boobs and they feel gigantic to me.  One night last week I had some weird boob spasm cramp in one of them and it really hurt!
QOTW: Have you thought about how you want to decorate your baby's nursery? Would love to hear your ideas!
Mine is already done since we are re-using DD's nursery for this baby.  It is a tiny bit girlish so if we have a boy I'll swap some of the purple crib sheets, curtains and changing table cover for green or something.  The walls and rug are a neutral shade and the theme is owls so I think it will still work for a boy.

1. How far along are you?  16 weeks today!

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week?  I've been pretty much symptom free this entire time but recently developed an interesting one just before Christmas. My hands,arms and back, and the last few nights my feet, have been super itchy at night. From what I've read this can be a pretty serious problem with my liver but of course my doctors office is closed until tomorrow. I'm hoping it's just weird itching with no real consequences.  Fingers crossed because it's taken everything out of DH and I to get to this point so far, I don't think I can handle any major complications. 

3. When is your next appointment? Not until Jan 12th for my regular OB appointment. Hoping to get in this week to see about the itching. 

4. Rants/Raves/Questions: so we announced to our family and my stepson in Christmas Eve and I woke up Christmas morning with an enormous bump!!!  It's almost like baby was "sucking it in" until everyone knew. Even my stepson said Christmas morning "whoa where did that come from" lol. Luckily my mom and sister hooked me up with some sweet new maternity clothes. Has anyone else discovered maternity leggings?!  Heaven....absolute heaven. 

QOTW: Have you thought about how you want to decorate your baby's nursery? Would love to hear your ideas!  @wifeinraleigh28 DH and I are also HUGE Disney freaks! If baby is a girl I want to do a subtle but brightly colored Disney/princess themed room. If it's a boy, it will pretty much look like a fire house. DH is a firefighter and I have spent pretty much our entire relationship planning the most over-the-top firehouse nursery possible. Although today he said maybe we could do disney a boys room too (but we could keep it firefighter themed with a touch of 101 Dalmations).  Either way our nursery is a VERY small room so we will have to be smart with our design and organizational skills. Hopefully we will get our prescription for the anatomy scan at the next appointment and know soon!

@beckij34 Love the giraffe theme, how cute!! And teal is pretty much my favorite color. You will have to share pictures when it's all ready to go!

@kdanjou Oh no, sorry about the boob spasm. I guess sore boobs just comes with the territory. And I know it will only get worse when we actually start breastfeeding! I also get the sore hips/legs at night too and sometimes it hurts so bad that it startles me awake and I have a hard time getting comfortable. It doesn't help that I've never been a side sleeper and now I'm forced to sleep on my side.

@kmd0501 The fire house nursery theme sounds so stinking cute!! Can't wait until you find out what you're having!!

@wifeinraleigh28 I swear my boobs hurts more now too! They are so sore and just seem to be in the way all the time.

1. How far along are you? 15 weeks 4 days
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Pregnancy wise I'm relatively symptom free besides the sore boobs. I still get nauseated if I let myself get too hungry so I need to nibble a fair amount but that's about it. Unfortunately I am dealing with a killer cold. I had a cough for about three weeks that I eventually got antibiotics for, although I actually felt fine besides the cough. Then yesterday I ended up with the worst sinus/ear/throat pain ever, could hardly sleep last night and I'm working from home today. Not being able to take much for colds is killer! 
3. When is your next appointment? January 10th, just an OB appointment
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: Anyone have any preggo friendly cold remedies to share? I'm dying over here!

QOTW: Have you thought about how you want to decorate your baby's nursery? Would love to hear your ideas! I started making a baby blanket which at least got me going on a color scheme. The blanket will have grey, white, a dark teal, and a lighter teal/mint color. I also apparently love all elephant stuff, no idea why, but I find it adorable every time I'm looking at sheets and decor for the nursery so I feel like that is what we will end up with.

@ClaireCF Oh no, I'm sorry about your cold! I had a horrific cold too for about 2 weeks that is finally better this week. What worked the best for me was honey for the cough. I'm also looking into Manuka honey because I've been reading that it rivals antibiotics and is a super food. I'm going to talk to my MFM specialist on Thursday about it and see what she says. Also, warm water (not hot) with lemon helped me too!

I am also adoring the elephant stuff and I actually picked out this bedding from BRU for our registry: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=88342006&cp=&parentPage=search The set (not included in the bedding set) also has an elephant mobile and a stuffed elephant as part of it, which I think will compliment my Paris theme nicely. I'm also loving the purple/lavender color for our nursery! Obviously none of this is set in stone or anything, but for now I am loving it!

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Feeling pretty normal - don't feel pregnant lately so I'm kind of freaking out about that.  The last couple of weeks I had been sick on and off, lost a few pounds and just feel off.  Hoping LO is OK in there.
3. When is your next appointment?  Anatomy scan in about 2 weeks
4. Rants/Raves/Questions:  Nothing really

QOTW: Have you thought about how you want to decorate your baby's nursery? Would love to hear your ideas!  DD will move out of the nursery just before the baby is born and into her new room.  The baby will then move into the nursery when the time goes (we have the baby in a bassinet in our room for the 3 months usually since we're 2 for 2 with bad reflux babies).

QOTW: Have you thought about how you want to decorate your baby's nursery? Would love to hear your ideas! We are doing white furniture, purple accents and bedding, and pops of flowery things. I found a mobile on etsy that is purple flowers that is so pretty. Some prints on Etsy as well that have her name and a few sayings and around them there are purple and gold flowers. I love bunnies or I might get a couple bunny prints as well. So fun decorating! I want the nursery done EARLY!!

@helloaustin123 I am getting so excited about the nursery too! It's going to be done probably before February is over! Also, I feel you on all the pains. I have lots of pains too!

Yay!  Luckily my OB does not feel my itching is related to ICP but ordered me labs anyways so I don't drive myself crazy.  And baby's heart was beating strong. It's amazing how calming those tiny little beats can be!

@kmd0501 Good news! I agree about the hb.... greatest sound in the entire world.

I realized I never updated here about my anatomy scan! It went well and our little girl is perfect. No problems whatsoever. I feel so calm now, excited, happy, and just incredibly blessed to have this amazing gift growing inside me. And I'm feeling her moving in there ALL the time now! Doesn't she ever sleep?!
