Mom haircut

I'm in desperate need of a haircut. Between shedding and not taking care of it as well it needs some help. The question is, how much should I cut off? I've had all different legnths. I thought I'd ask you guys as an impartial poll, and mostly just for fun.

I'll post pictures in the comments of me now with long hair, me with medium hair, and me with a short cut.

Re: Mom haircut

  • I chopped my hair a few months ago so that I could barely get it into a ponytail and I found I was so happy with it (as long as you're not working against your hair texture). Now that it's grown out a bit it goes up in a sloppy ponytail more often than not because it takes more work to make it look nice. I need to get it cut again, but that's a luxury lately so I don't mind.

  • I'm with @meggyme. My hair is in a ponytail 90% of the time since Damien loves to pull on it and I want it out of the way anyway. I'd go with the medium or short (both look great on you!).
  • Agreed. I think the medium length looks super cute on you.
Like the others have said, my hair is in a pony tail most of the time. Otherwise it's being pulled on or spit up in. I have really thick hair though and I think if I cut it short it would poof out too much. It's needs the weight.

I have really thick wavy hair too and I usually get long layers cut in to take the weight out. Otherwise I have triangle hair. But with all the hair I've been losing I didn't need it last time.

  • Thanks for the feedback ladies. Love your insights. My hair does get pulled a lot too :)
Its super fine, and completely straight. I tried my entire youth to get it to curl or have some body with no success, lol.

  • I chopped my hair after Madelyn was born and I personally find it to be more work when it's shorter, and I don't have the time.  I voted medium so you can feel like you got a change, but it's easy to throw back when you're running around.
