Night time sinuses


Like expected my sinuses got worse when I entered the second trimester. 
However, it's only really bad at night. Stuffed and runny nose, dry throat, sneezing, coughing,  etc.
I did neti pot before bed, humidifier,  saline spray, breathe right strips, propped up pillows,  but nothing is helping. The other night my dh said my snoring shook the bed. Lol

Anyone find anything that worked or is working for them?

  • I had the same issue but just had to keep doing what you have tried. Breathe right strips and propping up were the most effective for me

  • You also might try adding some eucalyptus oil to your humidifier (or if you use essential oils and have a diffuser)...that, in addition to what you've already mentioned, has helped me a lot.

  • Vicks? I know that has it in there and I put that under my nose. Nurse gave me the okay to use zyrtec, but I'm not sure how much that's going to help. Waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air is not fun. : (
  • Breathe, eucalyptus, or peppermint essential oils diffused.

  • Same issue here.  I have peppermint oil that I was using for bad headaches first trimester.  Will try that for my sinuses. 
  • I use vicks every night.  Not 100% but better then without.
