Testing: I have a dentist appointment today, and since there will be x-rays, DH convinced me to test this morning "just in case you actually ovulated early." BFN of course. Why did I listen instead of laughing in his face?
R/R: Back to work today. Fortunately I think almost everyone in the office is on vacation, so it'll be nice and quiet. Getting a drink with a colleague after work, too, who I haven't seen in months. Look at me making the most of this awkward workweek between Christmas and New Year's!
CS/Q:
GTKY: On Christmas Eve, my dad made carne asada with homemade guacamole, grilled asparagus, and grilled pineapple for dessert. So good!
R/R: At least it was a nice day out here yesterday and I could distract myself from riding the crazy train SOME of the day....*eye roll*
Q/CS: I guess I'm not ktfu. UGH. Good news is the progesterone is doing its job... Bad news is IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY. There's even a fucking implantation dip! I know I know, it could just be nothing and non pregnant charts have them too. I still have no clue how to do a spoiler box, despite trying.
GTKY: What was the last truly excellent meal you had? Hmmm I have a terrible memory with these.. DH makes an awesome eggs Benedict and we had that for Christmas Breakfast.
R/R: I had crosshairs today. It was a slow rise which I never had, so glad DF confirmed O. My rave is that it's my birthday. I took off work, but DH wound up having to work, so my girlfriends are taking me for lunch and pedicures! I'm so excited. I also have a massage scheduled this morning. DH and DS are taking me to dinner tonight. I usually don't do much for my birthday, so I'm really happy today.
Q/CS: nope
GTKY: What was the last truly excellent meal you had? I would say this Lebanese restaurant that we found last week. So many amazing dishes. My favorite was grilled cheese and this chicken marinated in spices and bakes in a pastry.
@adirat I worked yesterday and am working Friday. I feel you in the awkward work week. I work from home, but no one is online. Pretty much can't get anything done. I should have taken off the whole week.
R/R: Glad to be back! Christmas basically took over my life and then H and I came down with a horrible stomach flu yesterday. I have not been that sick in a very long time. Ooof.
Q/CS: --
GTKY: We had brunch with my brother, SIL and my nephew -- there was a homemade brown sugar cinnamon "pop-tart" and I had an amazing omelet. But I think what made it so memorable was spending time with my brother's little family!
@adirat sorry for the BFN... they sting even when you know it's early @TravelingCouple sorry for the BFN and the mind-f*ck that is the possible implantation dip. Glad that the progesterone is doing its job though! @flgirl20134 Happy Birthday!!
Me: 32 H: 32 Married: October 2009 TTC#1: August 2016
Testing: ***TW*** probably 8 dpo with wondfos OB said that when I get KU again we need to know as early as possible so we can test my hormones. He's concerned that mc was caused by low progesterone. Let the POAS craziness begin! ***End TW***
R/R: I got to spend a few my sister in San Francisco, and I am definitely ready for my flight this afternoon. We had fun but I really miss DH and my own pillows.
Q/CS:
GTKY: What was the last truly excellent meal you had? When DH and I were in Toronto over the summer we went out to a place for tapas and paella. It was easily the most expensive meal we've ever had but it was amazing. I wish I could have grown a second stomach so I could have eaten more.
@adirat sorry for BFN even if it is early. @TravelingCouple yay for a longer LP at least! @flgirl20134 Happy birthday! @Becky012016 Yay for an O this cycle! @JulesDP Welcome back and glad you're feeling better. I heard there have been some nasty bugs going around and a lot of my family was taken out by it on Christmas this year too.
Month/Cycle: 19/9
CD/DPO: 18/4-5
Timing: ED
Testing: Not until the new year
R/R: Can I rave the google search thread? Instead of going down a ridiculous google search rabbit hole last night, I just read the thread for my daily dose of BSC. Because you know, at 3-4 DPO I'm totally getting symptoms.
Q/CS: none
GTKY: What was the last truly excellent meal you had? DH is making brisket tonight and I'm pretty excited about it so I think I'm just going to dream about my meal to come.
Q/CS: Temp is still up (anything 98 or over is "up" for me) and another BFN. I'm starting to think I really did O a day or two later than FF is saying. So basically that means an extra day or 2 of BFNs! Sorry, feeling bitter today.
GTKY: What was the last truly excellent meal you had? Hmm.. probably the Thai restaurant we went to for my birthday a couple weeks ago. Sooo amazingly good. But Christmas morning breakfast was pretty good also--hashbrown casserole and cinnamon rolls.
Testing: Not unless AF doesn't show by Friday or Saturday
R/R: Just trying desperately to squash any unrealistic hopes this cycle. I've had a textbook pre-AF LP, so I'm fully expecting to be out in a day or two.
Q/CS: Not really a question, but I'm starting to think that I O'd later than I originally thought. Hard to be sure since I don't temp and only had two OPKs to use. Kicking myself for going rogue and not temping/doing OPKs in my pissed-about-DHs-SA fog.
GTKY: What was the last truly excellent meal you had? Well, since the food in ND is pretty much god awful by any standard..... maybe the last meal we had at my favorite sushi place in Colorado, or a birthday meal that I had at a fabulous restaurant in Denver called Fruition. I've been to a couple "higher end" restaurants here in ND, and no. Just no.
@alysapuggles Sorry for the BFN I think we're the same person today - both on cycle 6, both pretty sure we O'd later than we initially thought. Good times, good times.
R/R: I had my 7dpo blood draw this morning. In and out within 20 minutes! I'm getting to be good friends with the guy in registration. He doesn't even ask to see my paperwork anymore. He just starts typing it up. Not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing....
Q/CS: nope
GTKY: What was the last truly excellent meal you had? My coffee that I'm drinking right now. My favorite cafe was closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday so this is the first time in four days that I've had their mocha and omg... it's so yummy. The other places in town just don't compare.

I'm thinking my progesterone level is pretty high - nausea and bloating... all too familiar from my past femara/clomid cycles. So that's good. Temps are still above the cover line, had a slight dip this morning. So looks promising, but not trying to read too much into it.

R/R: Well, I was going to try temping through the end of this cycle, but it seems futile given my sleep patterns. I didn't stay awake for more than 1 hour last night, but starting at 4:00am, I woke up every hour, on the hour. I foolishly took my temp at 7:00am (normal time) and it was 97.54, which would be a drop below coverline and potentially signal that AF is on her way tomorrow (expecting her Friday or Saturday). But that was after about 45-60 minutes of sleep. I was able to fall back asleep for about 2 hours and temped again, it was 98 (but obviously not my usual time). So, I am just going to pretend like I didn't temp today....and see what happens.
Q/CS: nothing
GTKY: What was the last truly excellent meal you had?
The buffet we ate in Las Vegas last Friday. It was amazing and way too much food, but 500 different options (I feel like I tried at least 100).
Testing: on Friday morning... so I have a tumor in the bone of one of my fingers, the docs think its benign but it has gotten big Enough to compromise the bone so I need to have surgery on Friday to have the tumor removed. Its going to be a blast being in a cast for a month. So I'll POAS before I go in but they already told me I would do a urine test at the hospital prior to anesthesia.
R/R: after yesterdays shit storm at work I took today off and it has been great so far hanging out with my dad and the twins.
Q/CS: temps are still up but they don't usually start dropping until day 10 or 11 so who knows...
GTKY: What was the last truly excellent meal you had? mmm there are some restaurants here that do excellent food. though our new favorite is a hole in the wall enchilada joint, its not 5star dining but it is Amazing comfort food.
@adirat sorry DH convinced you to test and that it was a BFN @travelingcouple yah the progesterone can be a MF. sorry its messing with you @alysapuggles and @jess0211 sorry for the BFNs @BertieMeetsGertie sorry your out. Q/CS: N/A
GTKY: What was the last truly excellent meal you had? I'm eating banana bread right now, so that's pretty good.
Thanks ladies, yeah I think I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm not ktfu... No period yet but I do have cramping today which is a huge disappointment as it's only 10dpo. I'm hoping to get 11 days at least out of a Progesterone cycle...
@linzrunz let my pain be a lesson in case your Progesterone messes with you too! @flgirl20134 happy birthday!
So here's something I heard today that I thought you ladies may find relevant. Like an idiot I listened to my husband and tested super early because I had a dentist appt today. Obviously bfn. Anyway, at the dentist office, I mentioned to the hygienist that I was trying to get pregnant and asked whether I should get an xray. She said no! I figured it was safe during ttc but the dentist said that there have not been studies about xrays and egg health showing it's safe so they do not give xrays to ttc women just as they don't for pregnant women. Have others heard this before?
@KariAnn323 oh what a coincidence! We are driving into SFO now (from San Jose) so I have some time in the car. Were you visiting family? Also, why does your doc suspect low progesterone for your MC? Just curious, my doc (who I am switching soon) wouldn't explore any reasoning since it was my first loss.
@alysapuggles@dinosaur@jess0211@adirat Also, sorry for the BFNs to all the ladies who tested! I so want to test, but don't see a point. Also, I didn't bring any tests...so that pretty much makes it impossible (unless I awkwardly ask my mother to drive me to the store). Damn LP of 15 days also sucks....if AF is going to show, I would rather she show up already.
@adirat I haven't heard that but when I was at dentist for a filling last month and mentioned ttc they told me that they would use a different type of novocaine bc the novocaine normally used contains epinephrine which can cause issues!
@TravelingCouple So far, my progesterone is just making me really, ridiculously tired. Temps have been fairly normal including my oh so pretty, but oh so deceiving implantation dip look a like at 6dpo.
@dragonfly87@KariAnn323 Jealous of you two in SF! I live a few hours from there, but I love the Bay Area. Enjoy the city!

@adirat@jess0211@ChefRamsay ok now I'm annoyed at my dentist. My last appointment was when we were in our 1st month of TTC, and I let them know we were TTC and they still did x-rays and regular Novocain. Although, I shouldn't be surprised. ND is still in the stone ages with a lot of things - and unfortunately it seems to include medical knowledge.
@lund Fwiw I go to a kind of crunchy holistic dentist in Manhattan so this may not be mainstream. Example: the toothpaste sample I got today was Tom's of Maine fluoride-free and they are entirely mercury-free (the latter of which is the reason I selected this practice in the first place).
@adirat gotcha. Now I'm jealous of the fact that you have access to a crunchy holistic dentist lol. It's hard to find crunchy holistic anything in my area....
@adirat I went to the dentist yesterday and they wanted to do a bite wing X-ray. I told her I'm TTC and I have no idea yet if I'm pregnant she said we better not do them if there is any chance at all that I might be pregnant just to play it safe. I told her that was just fine with me. Seemed weird but I am paranoid and wanted to get it out in the open
@adirat@ChefRamsay Oh I had no idea really - I thought it was just a danger if you are pregnant. I had bitewings done in October and another x-ray at the orthodontist this month (invisalign). Great.
My doctor didn't even mention any of this to me.

@dragonfly87 My sister has been in California for a few years and moved to San Francisco last year. I promised I would visit before she moves back to Chicago.
OB thinks that it could have been low progesterone because my levels were low based on how many weeks I was. Basically the way he explained it was that the low progesterone could have been caused because my body was preparing to m/c a non viable pregnancy. On the other hand I may have m/c because my progesterone was too low to sustain the pregnancy. Since we didn't do any testing on the baby the only way to find out is to get KU again and test my levels right away and take progesterone supplements if needed. I'm inclined to think its a progesterone problem. Before I got on BC I was a week or two late twice. I never took a test because I was very young and scared. When AF finally did come those two time though it was very similar to this last AF.
