Choroid Plexus Cyst on 20 week ultrasound

I just wanted to share my experience with the finding of a choroid plexus cyst on my 20 week ultrasound, as many moms stories comforted me!  When we went in for our anatomy scan, the ultrasound tech found a choroid plexus cyst, which is a cyst in the space of the brain where cerebrospinal fluid is made.  When my husband and I heard about this finding on our first baby, it was anything but comforting.  We did the cell-free DNA and other genetic testing via blood work several weeks prior, and it all came back "normal" and "low risk".  Due to our blood work being fine and no other soft markers on ultrasound, our doctor said it was nothing to worry about.

I got a call about 4 days after the anatomy scan asking me to come back in for repeat views of the heart due to unclear imaging.  This caused panic, yet again...but it turned out to be a blessing!  I went back in today (two days before Christmas) at 22 weeks pregnant, and the choroid plexus cyst was gone and confirmed to be a non-issue!  They also called a few hours after my appointment to say that the repeat heart views were "perfect"!  Our little guy finally got a clean bill of health and settled our worries (for now)!
