AF after D&C

I had a D&C September 1st it was 8 weeks to the day when I got my first AF and now I am still waiting on my 2nd AF and I'm on cycle day 55. How long should I give it before calling dr?? What are your experiences?? Thanks

I'm sorry you find yourself here. I think you'll find this a very supportive community though.

There is a great thread with many responses and information about waiting for AF to return after D&C that I would recommend you check out. That being said, if you are concerned, it is always okay to call and check in with your doctor. That's what they are there for.

@southbride How long were your cycles pre-D&C?  It can take awhile to regulate post-MC so the long cycle may not be a cause for concern yet, but since you had already got one AF and this is the second, I'd call the doctor if you go 60 days without a period.  Sorry for your loss and that you find yourself here.  My body pretty much refused to regulate post-loss, so I understand your frustrations.

Well I have PCOS too so my cycles can be unpredictable. But they have never been this far off.

@southbride Ahh yes, with PCOS you never know.  I would call your doctor at 60 days if you haven't had a period or know you've ovulated.  GL - hope AF shows up soon!

Just another person who is chiming in with 60 days.  That seems to be what most doctors recommend.
