P.S. Is there a designated Monday ticker change person or is it first come? I don't want to step on any toes. I started it last week because I didn't see one, so I figured I'd start it again because I'm an early riser on the east coast.

How far along are you? 17 weeks

How big is baby? Onion

Appointments this week? Ultrasound tomorrow. I can't wait! 

Symptoms? Getting bigger, but not too many symptoms other than back pain.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I had a great weekend in Philadelphia - still here actually. We stayed right next to the Christmas village and Reading Terminal Market, checked out the Rodin museum, and did some nightlife stuff. I had a funny encounter at a bar with a drunk girl who was trying to get me to drink out of her giant bucket of liquor. I had to tell her I was pregnant and show her my bump to finally convince her I wasn't having any. Drunk people make me laugh (I've been sober for 2 years, but I still go out with the husband and friends. I'm sober, not dead). 

GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show? Anything cheesy wedding. I went on a kick last weekend of My Fair Wedding, 4 weddings, and Say Yes to The Dress reruns.

Appointments this week? Elective ultrasound tomorrow!  I hope baby cooperates!

Symptoms? I *think* I'm finally coming out of the first trimester fog. My headaches seem to be slowing down and my appetite is coming back. I even put a pound back on finally and have maybe stopped losing weight! I'm so ready to feel movement though! I've half convinced myself I have an anterior placenta for super un-scientific reasons. 

Rants/Raves/Questions: See above. Glad to not be feeling like crap. I'm off school and work all week and have SO MUCH I want to get done. We'll see. You know how that goes. 

GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show? Ooh this is a hard one. I love Greys still, which as a nurse, is definitely a guilty pleasure because it's so medically inaccurate.  I also will watch almost any HGTV show or any "true crime" type shows like Dateline etc.

Ps. @kns1988 there is not a designated person. I was doing it for a few weeks because I seemed to be the earliest riser in the group but the last six weeks I have had Monday commitments that prevented me from being able to start it. Have at it girl!

@ShadeofGreen816, I used to be such a sucker for true crime but then they started to make me really paranoid! I also love HGTV. I don't have cable, but I still find ways to binge on it.

Symptoms? RLP, regular baby kicks now, never-ending constipation. Last week I also went on a major bout of nesting.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm excited that Christmas is almost here! Also this past week people have started asking how far along I am, which must mean that I now look pregnant and not just like I was putting on weight anymore.

GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show? I also love wedding shows and HGTV! @ShadeofGreen816 - we also don't have cable so I would always watch HGTV at the gym and then we got Sling TV. I think what sold me on it was HGTV and Food Network. I also just discovered that we get Project Runway on it, which I love, but hadn't been able to watch for a few years.

Appointments this week? TODAY - this afternoon. SO EXCITED for the anatomy scan (even though I am team green). Here's hoping I can stay on task at work...

Symptoms? Having trouble sleeping (just not comfy) pretty sure I have been feeling little peanut this week. So cool!

appointments: not til Jan 3.  Couldn't talk DH into the elective ultrasound.  We will schedule our anatomy
US at that appointment. 

Symptoms:  if I didn't have this cold I would be feeling the best I've felt for a few months.  Once the cold is gone hopefully I'll be feeling good

R/R/Q:  I had a bad dream about my anatomy scan last night.  It was hard to go to sleep after that.  Heres hoping for not a repeat tongiht.  

We are trying to plan a vacation for jan 14 week and can't decide what to do...but it's right around the corner so we have to decide soon.  

GTKY:  another vote for wedding shows!

Baby is as big as a Pomegranate.
No appointments until anatomy scan and check up on January 10.
I'm so stinking tired. Dr is checking my iron levels since they've been known to be lower than normal. Hopefully a supplement will give me some energy.
My favorite shows are cooking shows. My guilty pleasure is NCIS. I could watch it all day no questions asked.

Appointments this week? Nope. I have my a/s on 12/28.

Symptoms? Insomnia.  I've been averaging about 5 hours a night, which isn't nearly enough for me pregnant or not. Headaches, but they aren't as regular as they were.  I did get some of my energy back.  That seems weird given that I'm hardly sleeping and have headaches.  I also got kicks/movements though so that helps.

Rants/Raves/Questions: DH was much more empathetic when I was pregnant with DD.  This 2nd pregnancy is getting no sympathy from him and I basically want to strangle him every time he expects me to be functioning at 100%.

GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show? Anything Kardashian related or Teen Mom 2.

vrj0522, I'll have to check out Sling TV. I've been wanting a new option because Netflix and Hulu are getting a little old, and if it has HGTV and Project Runway, I'm all in.

None until 12/29. I'm thinking I may try to change it, my dr is out on maternity leave and I'll be seeing another OB from the practice. (Long back story -I prefer to see female drs, but there are only two at the practice. so I chose the dr who delivered my daughter, who also happens to be an ex b/fs dad. While that seems weird, it was an emergency and he was on call and my husband and I were so thankful that he helped us so we felt way more grateful than awkward. We actually wanted him to do this csection again, but I didn't want to have every single appointment with him. I know I could have avoided this, but when I joined the practice in high school, I was only there for gyn stuff and didn't even realize I'd have to see him occasionally for OB stuff. Last pregnancy I avoided it until delivery by seeing midwives, but didn't have a choice this time and had to see Drs. I didn't switch practices because I love my dr and was told since I'm having a csection again I was told I could just see my dr. I didn't realize she was pregnant at the time, so here I am debating whether to see him or not. I feel like it would be fine if it was a normal appointment, but we're worried I may have a hemorrhoid and when I just spoke with my nurse, she said he could check... WHATTTTTT??? No thank you...)

Tired as usual. Sore still and can really feel my belly stretching now. Constipation! 

I guess my rant is above lol. 

I love so much junk tv. I know the shows aren't good, but I can't help it! Pretty little liars, bun heads, and plenty of other dumb shows.

How far along are you? 21 weeks (sorry I'm always days behind on posting for check in)

How big is baby?  size of an Endive (the bump continues to surprise me...I had to look that up!)

Appointments this week? none til January 12 (after a mini family vacation ( for a wedding...very well may be a rant coming)

Symptoms? random aches and pains and rlp; also had pressure at the" top of the bump" (forgive me for sucking with body terminology) but it only happened 2 nights and only lasted a couple hours tops.

Rants/Raves/Questions:  if anyone is a 2nd time+ mom (not sure if there was a board or not) any suggestions for riding in a car for 13 hours at 23/24 weeks pregnant?  
my brother-in-law thought he needed to get married and have my kids (mine by marriage and ❤) in the wedding so we kinda have to go. Family vacation in January while pregnant (we were already there this past summer) is not my idea of fun and relaxing. not to mention all the work and school that will be missed.  

GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show?  I used to love crime shows too until developing a paranoia. which sucks, but oh well. I could sit an watch big bang theory all day or even the Disney channel. pathetic I know but it's so easy to get zoned into with the kiddos! ha

@SWoodd2012 lurking from Tuesday Ticker, I went on a summer vacation while 25 weeks pregnant with my first. It was about a 12 hour drive. We stopped frequently for bathroom breaks and to stretch. I had spoke to my dr about going on the trip first and she suggested stopping every couple hours to get out and walk if possible, and also to stretch in the car to prevent blood clots in the legs! Hope this suggestion helps you

I'm awful this week!! It's been a crazy hectic week right before break and all I've been doing is grading papers! I've had no time to get on The Bump. So here's my Monday ticker change on Thursday.... HAHAHA
