Today is my Husband's last day traveling until April. Six 4+week trips since February, and he is done! He was out of state 25 weeks this year, and 29 for me, but we are DONE!.
Me since February:
He lands at about 10:40. Why the hell did I not take a vacation day!?
Since Saturday, DH and I have gotten so much done in the nursery: patched, taped and painted the walls, put together the dresser/changing table and the crib (last night). We're still debating over the arrangement and have a ton more to do, but it's made me feel so much more prepared for LO's arrival. Plus, going in and sitting in the rocker and just looking at the crib gives me all the feels.
Last night I caved in and told my husband about my current bathroom problems. (Up until then he would never know I poop or fart) but he got dressed and went out to buy me some milk of magnesia, when he got home he also bought me some chips ahoy cookies, (I love the cheap bad for you cookies) and a bag of sour patch kids. It was a nice surprise especially since yesterday has been the most uncomfortable day this whole pregnancy.
We have all of our stuff moved into our new house! We also now have TV and internet! We are going back to the old apartment tonight after work to clean and we still need to unpack most of the boxes but at least it finally feels like we are moving forward. I put up our mini Christmas trees in the front window of our house so we don't look like total scrooges and our house is starting to feel like home! I'll try to take pictures when every room isn't stacked full of boxes!

It's been snowing bad here all day and I was leaving work early since I wasn't feeling well. The sidewalks hadn't been treated yet and my work team (all young guys) insisted I couldn't walk to my car myself, so they escorted me out there and cleaned off my car for me! It was so sweet I almost started crying
@marriedhamstermom Yay! Moving at the holidays sucks rancid monkey balls so I'm happy to hear you've already got it feeling homey. Even if there are boxes everywhere, that makes all the difference.
I love your description @tentacular, that pretty much describes it! One of DH's coworkers was talking to DH and asked "Wait so you moved 2 weeks before Christmas, during a snowstorm, with a wife that is 7 months pregnant?" DH texted me after the conversation and was like when you put it that way we seem a little nuts...

DH is my glitter fart again. Now that I have been working 2nd shift, I get home around midnight, and he always has food waiting for me. As soon as I get home he wants me to rest and put my feet up and enjoy a nice cooked meal. Although he has never been very helpful with household cleaning/chores (he does help cook and he does our vehicle maintenance), he has been putting in the extra effort to help lately.
the first is that my cousin who im really close to & lives a few streets away announced she is pregnant with her 2nd child today! Shes due mid june but well be off on maternity leave together & im so excited!
the second is my husband who im going to aw again! Hes been so supportive & brilliant over the past few weeks & really encouraging about my coping with the dietry stuff since being diagnosed with gd. Also its my birthday in a few weeks time & he has ordered me a pair of designer shoes i really wanted with the matching pair for the baby!
About the only happy thing I can think of for today is when I went to chic fil a to get dinner since it's been such a long crappy day I realized that their chicken tortilla soup is in season again. And it was delicious. Worth whatever heartburn I'll get later because of it.
- I started a new job last month. It's been a little stressful, but my new boss is pretty great. There was a "snow storm" here last week (meaning like an inch of snow covered in a quarter inch of ice), so I worked from home on Thursday and part of Friday. When I spoke with her today (she's in FL where snow isn't a thing) and mentioned we might get more snow later this week, she was just like "Oh, please work from home. As long as you're getting your work done, I don't care where you are. Just give me a heads up so I know, but don't put yourself in danger just to get to the office. In fact, same goes for if you are sick or not feeling well, which I know will probably become more likely the further you get in your pregnancy. You can definitely just work from home." Thanks, boss!
- H has been pretty great lately. Over the weekend, he pulled the massage table up from the basement and set it up in the office. I thought he was going to propose massage tradesies, but he just told me to get up on the table, and he gave me a 30 minute massage. Then he said he would leave the table upstairs so I could have more massages later.
- H rave #2: I do most of the grocery shopping, and I noticed he had added 5lbs of apples and a container of oatmeal to the grocery list. I pointed out we had both apples and oatmeal already, and he said he wanted more so he could make me a GD-friendly apple crisp. He also made GD-friendly cookies last weekend (basically whole wheat flour and Truvia instead of sugar). He's been really trying to make sure I have "fun" things to eat. And he also isn't complaining about eating low-carb in general, since it doesn't make sense to have two separate meals. Even when I make something weird, he eats it with no complaints.
