Positive OPK/negative HPT?

Hi all,

I finally got a negative HPT but have still been getting positive OPKs. I haven't gotten a negative OPK since my D&C which was on nov. 9. Anyone else experience this?

@BeagleMom34 Are they true positives on the OPKs (test line darker than the control)??

they have been darker than the control.

I was experiencing the same thing. Even though OPKs are intended to detect LH they can detect residual HCG from  my ectopic. And because there is always some LH in your body they may be detecting that or the HCG, but you can't tell.  I hope I am making sense...

I had been taking hpts to track my HCG between blood tests.  The hpt finally started reading negative but the OPK positive.  It must have been picking up a very small amount of leftover HCG in  my system.  Now, I have a much lighter OPK line 6 days after 5 days of OPK dark lines. So monotonous.  Hope the time passes quick for you.
