c-section wound not closing/using a wound vac

was wondering if anyone has dealt with there inscion not closing and having to use a wound vac to help it heal quicker? how did it go? and how long did it take before you didn't need to vac anymore?

I didn't deal with this but my mom just got a vac for an incision on her hip. She got it put in about a week ago and they are talking about taking it off next week!
