PSA: Squatty Potty

About to get real here... after 6 months of postpartum pooping not being back to normal last time around, I purchased a squatty potty. Seriously.. it was such a good decision and I was able to stop using stool softeners. 

Basically I'm telling you this because it has also helped me this time around with the pregnancy constipation. I was definitely using stool softeners by this point last time around and have pretty much been able to avoid them so far.

We have one, it's great! All pregnant mamas should have one! They really should sell them in maternity stores...

I haven't used one, but I will occasionally drag a short step stool into the bathroom.

Maybe TMI, but I still have pretty bad hemhroids that flare up from my last labour/pregnancy 14 months ago. does it help with this?

It will help you strain less so it should.

We got a new toilet and it's chair height so i've been using my daughter's step stool. So much better!

@kaylaef It should help! I finally bought ours because I was sick and tired of having pooping problems. I avoided hemorrhoids during my first pregnancy somehow, but then had them postpartum and the squatty potty helped tremendously. One of the worst parts of my thanksgiving vacation was going to the bathroom without one!

Ditto, I use my daughters princess step stool that is in the bathroom already. Does the trick.

i love mine, I've had it for a while now, it's made constipation pretty much a non-issue for me (well, that + probiotics). Does make it bit more annoying to use any other toilet though..
