Re: Wednesday Ticker Change 12/7

  • @Elyse1384 love the story!  :D

    How far along are you?
    12 weeks! What?!

    How big is baby?
A plum! Literally every week I cannot get over the size of the baby. I have a baby the size of a plum in my belly!!

    Upcoming appointments this week?
    Nope, next week.

    Any new symptoms or changes?
My belly has become very apparent this past week. It is so noticeable to me pretty much from lunchtime on every single day.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
None. Just really happy to finally be feeling some confidence that this is going to be a viable pregnancy. Hallelujah!

GTKY: What is one of your favorite holiday memories (note: can be any holiday)?
My mom was an emergency room nurse so when I became a teenager she started to work on Christmas to make all the extra cash they make on holidays and so my dad and I started a tradition of going to the movies on Christmas while she was at work. He passed away when I was 24 so, especially over time, I look back on those Christmases very fondly.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant- I found a stretch mark on my tit this morning. Lovely. I never got any with DD.

GTKY: What is one of your favorite holiday memories (note: can be any holiday)? Ever since I was a little girl, my parents would load us kids in the van and drive around Christmas Eve looking at Christmas lights. We would drive through our local park and visit Santa. When we got home all the presents were magically under the Christmas tree! It was so exciting. I never understood how Santa could be in two places at once. We have been carrying on the tradition with DD. It's so fun to see her get really excited. I can't wait for Christmas this year.
  • Omg @Elyse1384 I laughed so hard at your story. Sounds like something my family would try to pull off!

  • @itsfine So did they have someone come over and put the gifts out while you were gone??

@JAGinMI No, My  mom would load all of us into the car and while she was doing that my dad was inside putting the gifts under the tree. He must have been fast at it because it seemed to only take him 5 minutes.

    Any new symptoms or changes?
My nausea is definitely beginning to wane. When it does show up it's awful, but at least it's not consistently now. The headaches are becoming a nightly event (I'm blaming it on writing my term paper atm). Not too bad, overall.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
I cannot wait for this stupid class to be over (tonight!) so I can completely unleash my geek mode and do all the research about pregnancy. My inner scientist has been dying to look up all the things but I've been reigning it in because I know once I do I won't be able to focus on much else for awhile, like, you know, actual schoolwork.
    Otherwise: holidays! YAS!

Living in the relative boonies of Alaska, I loved going out tree hunting in the woods with my dad and siblings before bringing the best tree back home and decorating everything after my mom (who preferred to leave the wilderness trekking to us) would make us warm drinks. It was just very homey and I miss it.
