@ChaoticWolf I have never, ever in my life liked eggnog, but for the last month, every time I walk through the grocery store I feel the need to buy it.
I have joked this child is like Remy from Ratatouille and he's controlling my actions when it comes to food.
I am obsessed with everything sweet. I can get down my healthy salads and lean proteins no problem, but then it's straight to half a pint of ice cream. I'm currently drinking a hot chocolate that I PURCHASED on the way to work. What is going on with me? I'm usually a total salty and savory person. Maybe I'm not getting enough calories or something? My weight gain has kind of stalled the last few appointments after being more than steady through the second tri.
Hot chocolate is the best! I had one with me for my appointment today and my doctor was giving me a serious side eye for having it and then she actually straight up said I shouldn't be. My weight gain has done the opposite of stall though lol but hot chocolate is so good!
Add me to the hot chocolate train! I've been getting one every morning the last two weeks! My doc said this morning that my weight gain has been perfect and I didn't gain between my appt three weeks ago and today. And I said oh good because I've been having hot chocolate and a bagel w/ cream cheese daily - and he was like good for you!!
Hmmm well I thought I was doing OK until my husband, who is doing a very strict diet right now said "I'm not stopping you from eating anything. You wanted popcorn, we bought it. You wanted subway, you ate it. You wanted a whole box of brownie batter, you got it. You wanted ice cream, pizza and pudding..." yeah I just about cried after he reminded me if all the junk I've suddenly started eating. He was being completely nice about it, just pointing out that even though he's dieting, it isn't bothering him what I eat, but obviously I felt like a hog after hearing what I've been eating that I forgot about.
chocolate covered pretzels with crushed peppermint - mmm. Also tons of blackberries and blueberries (I thought they were supposed to be out of season by now but they are sooo good!)
@jlellis603 I've been taking 75 mg once a day if/when it flares up.
@kswiger06 I definitely haven't been eating as well as I used to either, but we are doing the best we can! Don't feel bad about it - just keep trying to make good choices!
Went to a cookie exchange on Saturday night... Put all the cookies in the freezer... Took all the cookies back out of the freezer last night... Eating all the cookies. With milk.
I have been trying not to buy anything I crave until its been several days of craving it... That seemed to be working well.... Except over the weekend I had froot loops I think 5 times? I haven't been having a lot of intense cravings, but the last week or so I just want it all. Last night I was at Sams Club with my mom and I looked like I had the munchies. Bought apple slices. Ate them while I walked around. Bought cashews. Ate them while I walked around. Bought these awesome little snack squares that are dried fruit and nuts and chocolate. Had to try a few of them. When we walked out my mom looked at my cart and said "I'm surprised you didn't open the wild rice"
...I said if I would have had a way to cook it, I probably would have
Also, @MLRocha I will be in the same boat in a few days I think. I lovvvvve to bake and I am ready to start my Christmas baking. I was going to last weekend, but realized that two weeks ago I had the itch to bake and I used all of my butter... 4 batches of cookies and that will happen I guess! Usually I love baking sweets and then give most away because I don't care that much about eating it, but thats no longer true. I made snickerdoodle cookies for the neighbor a few weeks ago and hubby and I finished eating them that same night instead... Unfortuately for me, he can eat anything and everything and never gain any weight- or if he does its gone by a couple days later...
@kswiger06 - I have been like that lately too. Granted I do get in healthy food most of the time for my big meals, but I have def been snacking alot more lately than at any other point in this pregnancy. At first I was snacking on apple slices and healthier options....now I want cookies or ice cream, etc. I guess our babies want more junk in the last tri?
Dear Shake Shack, I'm sorry I ever said you were an overblown tourist-trap cliche. I'm glad there's one of you two blocks from work. And I'm glad we have an agreement that when I waddle over there at 2:30, your line is short and your wait time acceptable. And that peppermint chocolate shake? Kind of my reason for living.

I'm another one on the cookie train. Although I've been eating really weird ones for me, shortbread. Normally I hate shortbread but i chanced a sample at Costco the other day and BAM, into the cart they went. I have been snacking on at least two a day since, my midwife won't be too impressed. Lol.
I made a chicken taco soup in the crockpot last night! So good!!!!! I made it overnight so I could take some to lunch. I may have also had some for breakfast
