@Janefelicity We're in the same boat! I'm going in on Mon to get on meds. It is super frustrating but it sounds like you have a great team taking care of you. I hope the insulin kicks in quickly and your sugars get in control.
I think you can handle the head, btw! It will become a little cone shaped as it comes out so that will help ;-)
I just have my 30 week regular OB appointment tomorrow. Good luck to everyone dealing with more intense stuff right now and I'm sorry some of you are feeling more stressed because of it. I hope everything goes okay for everyone!
Got a preliminary report after my growth scan + AFI, which I wasn't expecting. Amniotic fluid looks good. Baby is weighing in at 3 lb 11 oz, 85th percentile. Projection of 9 lbs if we hit full term. So, biggish baby, but still in an ok range. So much relief!
Currently waiting for my blood draw for my glucose test. Had to get my Rhogam shot this morning as well. Nothing like a big needle in the ass first thing in the morning lol. I also had an ultrasound to check if my low lying placenta has moved out of the way yet. Will have an appt with the midwife later to go over all the results. FX everything looks good so I don't have to schedule a csection
Had my regular checkup today and now I'm on the every 2 week schedule. 30 weeks this week, and my OB said everything looks perfect, is head down, and prob about 3 lbs. I always feel so great after my appointments as my doc is so positive
Had OB appointment yesterday, and ended up getting my DPT booster and doing bloodwork for a liver panel (I tend to overproduce bilirubin, which is really NBD but can lead to (treatable) jaundice in the baby). DH and I have a meet-and-greet with a pediatrician on Thursday night. While getting my nails done last week, I struck up conversation with a super friendly woman and we got to talking about my being new to the area, and she asked if I had a pediatrician yet. It turns out her girls have gone to the one I'm meeting since they were little, and the woman was RAVING about her. Good sign!

Omg thats such a good sign! I had a similar nail experience-- I met a nurse from the hospital where I'll be giving birth and she raved about my midwives. Gotta love that manicure comradarie (sp?)
They just told me today that this will be me on Thursday too. I got a lecture on gaining too much weight and seem to be measuring ahead so they want to make sure the baby isn't getting too big too fast I guess.
@Gretchypoo, just a huge baby? They made me take the GD test several times already. I don't really get what the big deal is since I'm already scheduled for an RCS anyway. Then again I'm not really surprised because this OB I have has kind of handled things in a strange way from the start.
I had a 29wk ap mon. Measured 2 weeks ahead. Bp 114/74 baby hb 150s...didnt gain any weight since last visit. Probably bc i lost it all sun with stomach virus! Next apt dec 29
30 week appointment today and girls are good. Elizabeth is measuring 3.1 lbs and Charlotte's at 3.11 lbs. They passed all of their "tests" and are still sitting on each other's heads.

I'm imagining little yin and yang twins-- so sweet!

That's way sweeter than my never ending human centipede
I had my glucose test yesterday along with the iron and Rhogam shot. I got the results of my glucose test and they came back normal! Yay! All they want now is for me to gain more weight. They are never satisfied.
I don't see the Dr until 12/16, but I did get the results of my glucose screening today...and all normal. PHEW! My blood iron is a wee bit low, so she told me to try and bring that up but I'm not considered anemic.
Had my normal OB appt today and all was fine except I was measuring a week behind. My OB said that's totally fine, but still makes me nervous! Good news is I have an u/s scheduled on Wednesday to make sure my placenta has moved up, so she's going to do a growth scan while we are doing it. So fingers crossed all is well!!
