I debated going downtown for the Santa parade and winter fest today, but my house needs to be cleaned and I really hate dealing with parking down there so tonight we will go to a local botanical gardens to see lights and Santa. Plus it is the last college football weekend besides bowl games and such so we will have that on. Tomorrow my son has his first birthday party for a boy in his class that I am taking him to and he is so excited about it.

Christmas party this afternoon at my alma mater for alumni and their kids. It's like the one and only free event the college sponsors for alumni so I plan on taking advantage. Free snacks and cookies and Santa will be there.
MC Sept 2010 BFP Oct 2011 - DD born July 2012 TTC again since July 2014 First IUI 9/26/16: BFP! EDD 6/19/2017 It's a girl!
Born 6/26/17, 9lb 5oz
I hit 13 weeks on Thursday and another milestone yesterday...full on vomiting. I normally just gag all day. It was a rough one. Let's hope it was a fluke.
My best friend turns 30 today so I'm taking her and I out for Mani/pedis and then having dinner in Nashville. Nothing planned for tomorrow... probably just cleaning house!
Going to get our real tree any minute! As well as try and take a photo for our pregnancy announcement/Christmas card. Will share when we have it done Then off to DH's company Christmas party tonight - I am less than excited. It's fancy so I have to figure out which one of my dresses will work with my blump (I haven't tried any of them yet, which should make getting ready interesting).
I've been craving steak this entire pregnancy so I think DH and I are going to drop DD off for some time with Grandma and have dinner and see a movie.
Side note- DD LOVES her grandmother and gets so excited to spend time with her. I try to encourage that relationship by taking her over there myself and spending a few hours at least once or twice a week. I just hate dropping her off there though so I hardly ever do that. I know she's being well cared for, but I just feel so guilty about ever spending time apart. She's 13 months old... will this pass on it's own? DH and I have only gone on a few dates since she's been born and I have to consciously make an effort to not worry out loud about DD.
I've decided to push forward with life and remain positive while I wait for my amniocentesis appointment. I'm going to go to babies r us and register for all the little girl things my heart desires! Also going to meet my hubby for lunch today since he had to work.
I should be getting ready for a birthday party for a kid in my DDs class. I'm annoyed and don't want to go. We got a whole 2 days notice and if it wasn't someone DD talks about all the time we wouldn't be going. We had to change our plans for this party, so the cake better be good.
Mom to Madison- 5 and Lillian 2....and now surprise baby #3!
trying to muster the ambition to clean and rearrange the living room to bring down the tree otherwise it may never get up this year, motivation is really gone
My mom and I went to two craft bazars today. My son is taking a nap and I'm going to "clean" aka nap too. Then DH and I are going to spend the evening with our neighbors while my mom babysits. They made dinner reservations for us at an incredibly expensive restaurant (not my style) at 8:15 (ugh!!!!!) at night. I'm eating a pre dinner at 5 so I don't pass out from hunger.
Tomorrow I'm going to do the cleaning i napped through today. I'm off Monday at it will be my first ob appointment and first ultrasound. So excited and so nervous
I woke up this morning around 1 am and decided to check the wood stove. I turned on lights and everything but stumbled and landed with both palms on the hot stove... By far the most pain I've ever had in my life. I've got second degree burns on both palms. We had so supplies so we had to go to 24hr pharmacy and then to the ER because the pain was intractable. Thankfully just conservative therapies needed and no narcitics required. I'm at work with wrapped hands so they didn't have to call anyone else in and thankfully the pain is manageable now. Not cool at all

Similarly, we are putting up our tree! We have a fake because I like leaving it up FOREVER and usually its up earlier than this, but hubby didn't want to put it up BEFORE thanksgiving and we left for vacation for that week, so this is our first weekend back home. It's great, we got carols going, it's snowing, the two of us plus puppy and baby :-) i love christmas and its even better this year because i'm not thinking "the only thing i want is a baby!" hehe
@graceriesz and @ClaireCF we are taking some pics today too! haha I bought a shirt on etsy that says "Best Gift Ever" because we tried so long and this is our first :-) and we got a superman costume for the pup so we can say every hero needs a sidekick haha :-)
@sevenn That's AWFUL!! OMG!!!!! I hope you heal quickly and the pain fades fast! ugh!!!!
@doodleoodle- My daughter is 15 months and I feel the same way. It's hard to leave her, even with family who I know will take good care of her. I try to push myself, though, because I need some quiet time to myself, and my hubby and I definitely need some date nights. We were planning two nights away as a couple before this next baby and we just canceled because I couldn't bear to leave her overnight. I left her once before and couldn't sleep a wink. I'm hoping it gets easier as they get bigger, but that won't be for a while with this new one on the way.
We went and cut down our tree today with our best friends (yearly tradition) then out to a local brewery for lunch. Decorated the tree and now DH and DS are outside putting lights on the house.
Bonfire here at our house tonight with friends...it's a "high" of 35 degrees here in MI so we're dressing warmly We enjoy winter fires though, so no qualms here.
Chilling and food prep for the week tomorrow. Maybe a little Xmas shopping (I'm almost done)!
Tomorrow will be spent cleaning so that I can decorate the house for Christmas. I was talking to the Mr about Christmas and he seemed very apathetic. When I asked what was bugging him, he said he just didn't get why I make such a big deal over it. Apparently his parents would maybe get them something, sometime nothing. Same went for birthdays. For no reason other than they didn't see the point to celebrating.
It really bugged me. He's never said anything about this before and it's weird that it just came up now. We've been together for 10 years...
I asked how it made him feel as a kid and he said it sucked because everyone else's family made a big deal over holidays. So I said I don't want our kids to feel that way. We can share some of my family's traditions and make some of our own. It's OK to feel joy and be happy.
@doodleoodle I do think it gets easier as kids get older to leave them. I am all about date nights. We have one every week. And I enjoy leaving my DD with either set of her grandparents. She absolutely loves going there, our families love it, and I think those relationships are important. She's 4 now and we've left her overnight for numerous things, even a 5 day trip to Mexico.
@sevenn I hope you're feeling okay today!!! Heal quick!
Last night I hosted our annual Christmas party (we travel over the holidays so we always have our party the first saturday after Thanksgiving week). Omg I ate so much food and then suddenly couldn't stand the sight of any of it. I sent all the leftovers home with my sister, and now I'm eating peanut butter fudge for breakfast and enjoying not having a hangover this morning
@CurlyMommy416 that describes just about every meal I have lately. Maybe not eating too much, but I'll start eating, and half way through all of a sudden whatever it is is completely unappealing and makes me want to vomit. I almost wish it would be a visual aversion situation because I get this false sense of security thinking I'm ok with a particular food and then 5 bites in I regret the choice.
Ordered our Christmas cards this weekend and took DD to her first Christmas parade last night. Other than that studied all weekend. Last exam on Friday! I'm ready for that to be over so I can finish planning DD's first birthday and decorate for Christmas!
Thanks for all the well wishes! My hands are in bad shape with massive blisters but pain is very manageable. I'm working with mitten hands which is stupid but I'm not willing to take sick days for this. Hoping im able to scale back my bandages soon. I'm off tomorrow so hopefully after that (day 3) I can function a bit better. Not fun
