Dec 9th, regular OB check-up.

Symptom changes? 

Weird dreams, more frequent peeing, pelvic pain.

Rant/Rave/Questions? 
I just finished all my holiday shopping and I feel so relieved! One less thing to worry about.

pretty much any version of "a Christmas carol". Love those!

I got the sweetest ultrasound pictures yesterday and still on a super excited high from it!! 

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie?
I looooove a Christmas Story!! I watch it every year and I will leave it on the channel that plays it for 24 hours in a row... until someone else gets bored and changes it lol (I also like watching the classics like the claymations on Rudolph, and frosty, and I still watch the cartoon version of how the grinch stole Christmas.)

I have a growth u/s on the 16th and a recheck of my glucose test

Symptom changes? 

Heartburn has come back and now is constant

Rant/Rave/Questions? 
I'm kind of annoyed about redoing my 1 hour glucose test.  The OB convinced me to do it early I think because I'm overweight and she was convinced I'd have GD.  My numbers were really good but now they want to check again because I had it done at 23 weeks.  I wish I had just waited.
GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie?
I love so many of them, especially the modern classics like Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, and a Christmas Story.  I also love Love Actually.

Rant/Rave/Questions? ds1 and ds2 have been talking to baby boy. it's the cutest thing. ds1 also asks if he can feel the baby kicks. Hopefully they will stay this excited when he comes out lol 

I've also got almost all my Christmas Shopping done, now I just need to get my cards done.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie?
National Lampoon Christmas Vacation and The Grinch. I have a fond memory of The Year Without A Santa Clause....we used to watch it as a family when I was young and my sister who is 7 yrs younger would dance around to the Heat/Snow Misers song which was hilarious.....and we would sing Christmas songs and put up the tree together. I can't wait to build family memories with DH and our daughter that she will always remember

When is your next appointment? 

Tomorrow morning. Just a regular OB appointment. I feel like I should have more questions for her to get more out of my appointments, but I just have no idea what to ask. 

Symptom changes? 

My ribs are so achy, especially my back ribs. 

Rant/Rave/Questions? 
Our provincial health authority changed their prenatal classes from an in-person program to a really shoddy online learning module thing. The videos are a million years old. There are spelling mistakes. There are broken links. And no human interaction. There are many reasons why I think it is a terrible idea and a hindrance to community health. 
GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie?
White Christmas. I love a good musical. I also like TV Christmas specials, whether they are super cheesy made for TV movies or things like Doctor Who Christmas specials.

The following is a copy and paste from yesterday's appointment thread... it's the update after the concern of my placenta and cervix

Update after my appointments today. First I got amazing pics of the baby today! Yay! But the u/s tech had a hard time getting the pics she needed. She had to get the radiology Dr in there to help her. Both her and the last ultrasound tech commented on how low the baby is. I asked about it and she said he is abnormally low, but wouldn't further comment so I'm not sure if that matters. I posted the the ultrasound pics thread, but she showed us his hair!!! And said he's weighing 3 lbs 6 oz. 

At my OB appointment, she hadn't received the results yet so will have to call and tell me later what is going on. I asked her what exactly they are checking and she didn't give me medical terms but it sounds like they are watching placenta previa. She DID say that the placenta was covering my cervix and that a lot of times it will move up. This was to see if it moved. If it didn't move we will talk options because she said I will not be able to deliver vaginally. That would be a whole new thing as I'm not a fan of being sliced open, but I'm just thankful the baby is looking healthy and I just want him safely. 

Update to the update: My Dr's office just called and said my placenta has moved up, and is no longer a concern! Whew!

Rant/Rave/Questions? super excited my brother is coming for 2 weeks for Christmas vacation. He's super low-key, so I don't have to entertain him much, but with my parents being snowbirds (and my brother living alone), I was worried he would be depressed this holiday. Instead I get to spoil my husband and brother (while they do all the stuff so don't want to do/have trouble doing).

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie? I love super sappy and silly Hallmark movies. I'm such a sucker for made-for-tv Christmas

When is next appointment? Dec 16th OB and Dec 20th growth scan with MFM

Symptom changes?  Actually doing pretty well this week-  usual pelvis pain, heartburn, etc but more energy then before

Rant/Rave/Questions?  Frustrated that after a not great growth scan it takes 3 weeks to get into MFM, but it also gives enough time to monitor serial growth.  

GTKY: My all time favorite holiday movie is White Christmas, but I also have to watch Miracle on 34th St, Santa Clause, Home Alone.  This is the first year my kids have watched Home Alone and they loved it!  Listening to them laugh at the movie was so cute.  Can't believe how old it is now.
