edited November 2016 in June 2017 Moms
Do you have anything to brag/celebrate about your SO?

Past couple weeks have been hard with my nausea being horrible everything makes me gag or vomit my dh has been amazing helping me as much as possible. Well today today has been the worst woke up to our puppy having diarrhea all over the bathroom i couldnt even open the door to let her out and clean as it made me gag and want to throw up, i called my dh crying as i felt horrible i couldnt do it and needed him to come home from work. His work takes him away from home for days then home ect. He talked with his work and is now home cleaning up our poor puppy and the mess and cleaning the house. He thankfully gets to stay home tonight then back to work tomorrow morning! Im so thankful for him!

I love these because so often I feel like people take advantage of open forum situations and just bitch about their SO (even at a simple girls night, etc).I LOVE to hear all the happy positive things

DH job is SO demanding and he always makes home, DS and me a priority. He's on-call tomorrow but still planned a whole "Christmas day" of getting our Xmas tree, decorating outside (which he does 90% of the work) and finishing shopping. If he gets called in we will still do it, just later in the day.
He rarely ever complains and still splits the housework with me. Obviously it's not 50/50 because I only work part time and try to do as much as possible but when I can't get to the dishes or laundry he ALWAYS tells me "don't worry about it. I'll do it".

I just love him and appreciate how fricken hard he works.

  • He is so good with the kids and he puts up with my need for cramming in as much holiday activities as I can over the weekends coming up without complaining.  He brought me a soda tonight because I am so exhausted and has been really great about bringing me random foods that I kept talking about earlier in the pregnancy.  He also hasn't complained once that I haven't really. Are dinner at all this week and our house is in a constant state of disaster since I went back to work full time.  He is just all around pretty great.

  • My DH works full time as a police officer (12 hour shifts), off duty as a security officer, and went back to school to get his bachelor's degree. On top of this, he does most of the house work.  Man, he really makes me look bad.  In addition, he dealt with months of hormonal outbursts, tears, and anxiety while we were seeking fertility treatments.  I KNOW I found a good one.

He cooks, cleans, gets me what I need, goes to every appointment and booked baby moon weekend away with prenatal massage and all! He's a CPA that works full-time.  he has put up with moody b*tchy attitude And nausea And constant headaches. Today he ordered breakfast which included three gatorades for my terrible dehydration headaches, my Diclegis and Vitafol.

Good men exist and we're lucky!!
