I know I started this thread, but aside from feeling large AF and being over the only four maternity outfit options I have, I weirdly don't feel that bad right now because I somehow got a great night of sleep last night. It's actually kind of creeping me out that I feel so "normal". I know that means I'll feel horrible within a day or so.
My hips ache. I wake up at night in pain. DH massages my back and pushes my hips like they taught us in birthing class. It seems to help.
I'm currently having a burst of nesting energy. If I sit though, I fall asleep. Otherwise, discharge, cramping, and relief from constipation seem to all be happening more often. I have a strange feeling these symptoms mean baby will be here sometime in the next two weeks.
I feel the same way @christac1010. I just started feeling a little crampy today and I'm not loving it. I'm hoping it digestion/bowel related and not labor related.
I'm crampy. Lower abdominal cramps that feel like menstrual cramps. They last for about a minute or so and they come randomly throughout the day. My OB says that it's totally normal given this is baby number 2. I just worry because I'll be 34 weeks on Monday and that was when I had my first round of pre-term labor with DD1. But we shall see.
DD1: EDD 12/21/11 - Born 11/24/11 at 36w1d DD2: EDD 1/16/17 - Born 1/12/17 at 39w3d
Lets see. I'm sore in my hips, back and sometimes belly. Lots of belly pressure often when I stand. Sometimes she's super low and feels like she's trying to come out. Infrequent BH, less than 8 per hour. Some cramping. Still dealing with constipation, will probably never end. Feeling full and reflux, especially since i eat mostly horizontal to prevent a ton of BH. Overall, pretty damn happy. Will be 32 weeks tomorrow, so even if my water broke now, she'd probably just need a few weeks of NICU
@LoneStar21416@christac1010 Add me to your list of crampy with a side of nesting. I've had the lurking feeling that labor is eminent but have no basis to back that up. I guess I'm just glad to have made it this far. One day at a time, ladies!
I have had to start sleeping sitting up because of the reflux. This past week it has gotten so bad anything I eat will give me it. The aches and pains from all the pressure are definitely worse this time around than with my first. Oh and what is sleep!?
Pubic bone pain, swelling like no tomorrow no matter what I do, heartburn and now the nausea has decided to come back. I thought I was done with that. Oh and I forgot what a full night of sleep feels like. Sorry for the whining.
Random cramping here too in the lower pelvic area. It doesn't feel like BH since nothing gets tight, just kind of uncomfortable. Heartburn and weirdly, a return of mild morning sickness? Wuttttt. I dry heaved last night for the first time in about 3 months.
Also, in the realm of *TMI TMI TMI*:
Has anyone had recurrent diarrhea? I haven't had constipation this entire pregnancy but every few days I feel like diarrhea is a thing... I know they say it's a sign that labor could be coming but this has been kind of happening on and off for a couple of weeks now and I'm showing no signs of early labor so I don't know what the hell.
I knew gloating about feeling great would come back to get me. Holy lower back pain. I'm thinking this has to either be GI related or baby pushing on my spine because I'm not having contractions or any other symptoms. I will say, though, this lower back pain is kind of making me nervous for a Med-free delivery, though. I need to work on my breathing techniques!!
Did we ever start a signs of labor thread? My sister had her baby at 36 weeks and being at 35.5 weeks, everything is starting to make me think baby is coming! (Though my whole family thinks i'll be overdue--thanks, guys!!)
@canavara the GI issue that you mentioned just started for me a few days ago. I'm experiencing much looser stool now. I'm not even taking my colace anymore.
@canavara yup! At least once a week, doesn't seem to be related to anything I eat, how many BH contractions I have, or really any other symptom. Ugh!
I've also started having upper back pain, probably from twisting around every night to find a comfortable position. It gets really bad towards the end of the day, there are no stretches that bring relief. Might have to spring for a massage session!
I have the weirdest pregnancy symptom... not sure if anyone else dealt with this. I got the tiniest cut on my face, not sure how, and it literally just won't stop bleeding. Dr. Google says because of a mixture of increased blood flow and some women can have clotting issues in the third tri. Either way, i have to wear a band-aid on my face today at work and now I look SUPER cool. Good times.
@newyearsbaby5 Not on my face, but same! The tiniest cut looks like a crime scene. I accidentally nicked my finger last night with scissors opening a package and it took ice cold water, a compress, and holding my hand high up in the air to get it under control and even then it was like 10 minutes before it finally stopped.
Minor morning sickness happened yesterday. It came on like a wave and stayed for about 30 mins? Hope it doesn't get as bad as it did in the first tri. Otherwise, less constipation but holy moley do my hips hurt! I am just turning all night, when one side hurts so bad, I turn to the other side which is still sore/hurting. Then repeat.
I'm so uncomfortable. But I'm most nervous because I can't tell what position baby is in. He was transverse at my appt 3 weeks ago and I've tried to get him to turn but I can't tell what is what in there. I go to the dr Monday but I really want to know:( anyone have any idea how to figure it out?? Thabks
@becid24 I've studied that webpage religiously and still have 0% confidence in baby's position. Most of the time I feel like she's transverse but again not confident. Looking forward to having my midwife tell me on Wednesday...
My main symptom is awful shoulder-mid back pain that seems to be getting worse as my bump grows. At the grocery store yesterday I had to lean against columns in every aisle while my husband did the shopping. I've bought a birth ball to try to sit on to try to improve my posture (as I think me slobbing out on the sofa is not helping) but I just wish I had all the money to pay for bi-weekly pregnancy massages...
@hayhay87 I can't figure out my sons posirion either. I honestly think he is still flipping daily. Tomorrow I will find out where his head is. But transverse seems to be the way he loves to lay
I'm in the same situation about being confused on baby's position! I think his head is down but then I feel a bump on the higher left and higher right with kicks on the right. So I think he's at a right angle . ..but sometimes worry it's transverse cuz the 2 higher bumps seem so big. who the heck knows... sigh. It's frustrating not knowing for sure.
Returm of the morning sickness ughhh I've been hugging the toilet for 30 minutes wishing I would just throw up and get it over with but nothing wants to come up. Every time the baby shifts his weight it makes the urge worse.
@canavara Oh, no!! Did you take anything to help when you were so sick in the first tri? Maybe you can start it again? I just started taking Diclegis again

@kelseyh62 LO is head down but settles on my left side, so I his bottom is a big bump on my left side, and then his feet cause a bump on my upper right side, and I feel a lot of kicks or punches on my right/upper right area. He has been in this position for the last 3 weeks or so.
I can tell it's his bottom because it's harder to push down, and when I do he usually freaks out and wriggles around a lot. But if it's his knee, feet, etc. He'll usually move it down or around my hand without too many extra kicks.
He does seem to switch from facing my right, to facing my back, to facing forward, so his kicks/punches will sometimes change spots because of that. But unless you feel kicks low I would think he's head down. If he is you should feel something pretty hard just above you pelvic bone. (I couldn't tell it was round until my MW showed me, but it is definitely hard! lol)
@hayhay87 Yep! His hiccups are really low for me also! Try feeling on the side right above your pubic bone. I can feel the side of his head when I'm laying down. And the last two appointments the MW was able to find his head down low pretty easy and it's been in the same spot. It is pretty difficult to find without guidance, but possible! I just didn't realize that was his head I was feeling before they showed me. LOL!
@HJMorgan thanks for the tips! part of what is confusing to me is that I feel like he drastically changes positions a lot. He seems to like 1 position more when I'm sleeping and another when I'm vertical during the day. I feel like his head is near my left hip and not in my pelvis during the day and floats up higher (more transverse) at night. @hayhay87 I wish I could flip on a neon arrow pointing at baby's head on demand! haha
Constant peeing at night, which makes me exhausted in the morning. Also, I'm getting a lot more BH when I lay down at night and get out of bed to use the bathroom, etc. It seems really counter-intutitve to me. I assumed I'd have BH from movement. It makes me uncomfortable at night, and I really don't like it. Pelvic pain is pretty intense and has not let up for the last 2 weeks. It makes my legs feel weak after I've been sitting for too long and I just feel so stiff and sore. In reality, I think my muscles are actually more loose, but they feel stiff because of how sore they are. Not sure if that even makes sense
Acid reflux still so my doctor adjusted when I take my meds to try and help. 2 Zantac 150s a day (one in the morning and one at night) plus 40 mg Prilosec. AND she added Reglan to try and help with my no-poo situation. All around lovely.
@HJMorgan just had the midwife confirm baby is heads down! Apparently super heads down. The bumps were just what you feel, tush and limbs . Yayyyy hope she doesn't flip!
@hayhay87 Yay! It is such a relief when they go head down! My MW said she's pretty sure that LO is set in his head down position and shouldn't flip. Hope both our LO stay this way!

@MaryNog a massage. That sounds glorious. Please focus on my left butt cheek where I have nerve pain.
I just wanna sleep.
