#1 - I put coconut oil on my scalp this AM because it was feeling a little dry/itchy. Usually I have to wash my hair 3 times to get it out. I did that this morning and then, when after I dried my hair, realized I was still a total greaseball, so had to shower and then rewash and redry my hair. Ugh.
#2 - DH has waaaaay too much energy today. He keeps asking me to do stuff. I haven't been sleeping well and am tired. Thankfully, he is off getting his car washed right now to keep himself entertained.
@cayaylonglegs DH was laughing at me because I cried both times it came on (twice now while I was in the room) but I don't want to miss the game, so I have to watch
I just remembered that we have more guests coming over today. We've already got 5 here, and 3 that left this morning. 5 more are on their way over. Which means my house will have 14 people in it today. I love them, but friends and family, go away, let me fart openly and scratch my stomach.
I'm not sure why I'm in the Facebook group for December 2016 moms.. I know I've already crabbed about how different of a group it feels, but I am honestly SO annoyed by all the women posting about themselves trying so hard to induce labor. What is so wrong with baby coming when baby is supposed to?
Speaking of baby coming.. I'm a little sad that I'm having no labor signs because today is DH's birthday and a part of me would love it if they shared a birthday. DH wants him to wait a few more weeks though, so that is ok

I'm so glad it's not just me. Half of the time when I go on there, I just eye roll and leave. It's such a different feel.
@ea301 well let me go get my magic wand! Lol do what works for you, we all have wishes, but they don't always work out how we want them to.
So far the worst part about my C/S recovery is the constipation. I thought I was constipated while I was pregnant - omg no. I've weaned myself off the pain meds hoping that will help. I'd rather be a little sore than be so mega constipated.
So twice in my life I'd eaten something from Taco Bell - nachos bell grande. Both times was after being in the ER for stitches from mtn biking. I remember thinking the nachos were delicious. This whole pregnancy I've been thinking my third and final nachos bell grande should happen but haven't been able to do that to myself. Until today.
so my petty problem is that they were not good - I must have been hopped up on ER pain meds or something- but I now have to digest them because I followed through and ate them.
i can confidently say I will never eat Taco Bell again. It probably doesn't help that I changed a diaper full of refried bean-like poop just after finishing. And that was probably tmi
@PensiveCrayon I am having to relive my petty problem in burps right now. They taste like dog food covered in plastic cheese sauce. But I did it to myself!!!!!
@temmetime Dh's birthday is Tuesday, my grandfather's is Wednesday and my Mom's would gave been next Friday. As much as I want him to cook longer I'd be so happy with him coming any of those days next week!
I have a stack of papers to grade. I have no interest in doing so. But I have to grade then because my last day at work will be next Friday.

Only reason I want this baby out soon is because I've still been having super time able contractions...going on 14 days now. 9 days until my RCS if I make it that long.
My petty problem is my house is a mess and I feel too "blah" to fix it. DH is stuck doing homework most the day and tomorrow so my house will probably be a mess until Monday when DH is at work and the toddler is at daycare...but that means I have to do it all.
Also, my 2.5 year old is biting/chewing her lollipop and it's driving me nuts! Holy cow kid just suck on it like a normal person!
Okay @sourlemon...I'll give you a pass on wanting the baby out I'm still having a rip-roaring good time (and I'm only 35 weeks), so I guess that's why I don't have any compassion. Haha.

Just cried tears of relief when talking with dh about our schedule and I thought he said his classes end a week before I had marked. Turns out no. The end the same week as I thought. Tears of relief not valid. Oh well
@PensiveCrayon - I have definitely gone through phases during pregnancy. At like 32 weeks I was having bad back pain and felt like pregnancy was never going to end and I was miserable but also knew it was too early for baby to come. At 36ish weeks I felt much better and was like "this is great and I'm not emotionally ready for this baby so it can stay in as long as it wants". Now I'm over 39 weeks and just starting to get physically uncomfortable again and am trying to resolve myself to the idea that the baby will come when he comes. But there are times when I'm crampy and have aching back pain that is pretty mild and I'm just not comfortable, so I can definitely see why people who are actually having contractions regularly are like "get it out".
@slartybartfast I have been sick the last two times I have eaten anything with cheese sauce at taco bell and absolutely refuse to eat there again...its probably been two years since I have eaten in one, and the last time DH insisted on going in I brought in Arby's, lol. I feel your pain.
Contractions are becoming more painful now and my incision hurts a lot. DH thinks I won't make it through the night without calling in to l&d so he wanted chipotle. so now we are eating chipotle and all I can think of is puking during my c section like last time...except hospital time I won't have an empty stomach. kinda kills the chipotle vibe...
I'm trying to take advantage of DH being gone for the night so I can wrap Christmas presents, and in a 2 hour period, I've only wrapped one present. And by wrapped, I mean I threw it in one of those pre-made boxes and slapped a bow on it.
i'm choking down red raspberry leaf tea. why? I have no idea. I bought it on a whim at Target since I promised to make turkey cookies with the girls and it was in the same aisle as the frosting...planned on testing the theory that it makes labor easier. except I hate tea. it tastes like dirt and grass and water no matter what I put in it. i'm calling BS on this one. except I've had about 5 BH contrx since I started drinking this cup, maybe it is getting my uterus in shape. it still tastes like sh!t.
@zubenescamali I hate it too! It tastes like dirt water and I just makes me have miserable BH for hours that keeps me awake but does nothing effective. I gave it up after my 3rd pregnancy. I am eating dates however ... they are actually quite nice.
My PP... my parents were suppose to come dec 15th to help us and be here for childcare duties during birth... now they are coming dec 20th, just a week before I'm due... because my brother doesn't want to drive alone... ok... can't let a 46 yo man drive himself but we can let our pregnant daughter risk birth with no childcare and help the days prior... thanks! I know, it's like 5 days... but want to whine about it!
Also, I really don't want to set up an Xmas tree... it just takes up room, makes a mess and is something I have to keep the toddler out of... but I know everyone will raise a riot if I insist.
I'm not in the FB group but was guilty of trying stuff to induce labor too and was getting impatient - nothing crazy just eating pineapples, sex, etc., I wanted as much maternity leave with the baby here as possible and was just way too miserable to function.....what i DIDN'T know and found out later is that trying home remedies can cause prodmal labor (which I had for almost a week) and make you even MORE miserable. So if anyone is planning on trying something to speed things along, it seems like walking and doing squats are the only useful things you can do without causing yourself even more discomfort than you're already in. I wish I would have chilled out and just ealked more and slept as much as I could. I did all kinds of stuff and when i got to the hospital i was still only 1cm dilated, even though i've had contractions 5-7 minutes a part for a good 5 hours a night for a few nights in a row, and then for 12 hours 2 days in a row before delivery. Walking around in the hospital got me from 1 to 3.5 in 2 hours.

@toller - there is literally no drama in the Facebook group. I think what the difference is over there is that it's not forum based like TB. Because of that everyone just has their own posts which can sometimes seem redundant and AW-ish. That being said everyone over there is nice, it's just a different layout.

There actually has been a tiny bit of drama with the post asking people to step out if they're lurking -- or if they "don't even know why there in the first place" referring to the previous posts on here re: inducing labor. But after that I actually did step out because I realized that it just didn't matter to me enough to stay.
As for RRL tea, I made a blend with nettle, peppermint, and chamomile and it's actually really nice and calming before bedtime. I don't know if it's doing anything. I'm also on the date train

Good to know (Facebook) - I never joined the group, and as we get closer to our due dates I was beginning to wonder if I should have because I'm going to miss everyone here if the board goes silent.
I'm loving dates, been working them into my GD meal plan. Think I'm going to back off on the evening primrose oil. My MW recommended it starting at wk 36, but I'm in no hurry for LO to get here before her due date.
