Walking!?

First of all, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday! Ours was extra special! Our LO decided to take her first steps! Today she was determined to do a few more. Her longest stretch was 5 steps before she decided to sit down. This is crazy! Who told our February babies they could get so big?? It seems impossible that they are quickly approaching a year old. With all of these holidays, their first birthdays will be here in no time! Are any other Mamas planning the birthday party yet?

We get about 2-3 steps at a time before he gets lazy and takes a seat. Birthday party is in the works since my boyfriend has a large family and or apartment would in no way hold all of that.

Can you believe they are already old enough to be taking steps? We both have big families too. We aren't sure where to have the party yet though.

Jacob takes only 1 step by himself then has a seat from lack of confidence. He's pretty steady he Just likes to hang on with a finger for a confidence booster. I've thought about bday but haven't decided anything  yet. It's all going soooooooo fast! I'm enjoying every moment.

Wow, guys! My little guy is just starting to get the hang of rolling now, so the thought that some of your babies are already starting to walk is mindblowing.

Yeh mine is only just starting to attempt crawling!

Owen is cruising along the furniture, and in the last few days will reach for something close and take one or two steps, still while holding on though. No birthday plans, my first son got a big 1st birthday party, but I don't know if I want to host that many people again.

Isn't it interesting how wide the range of normal is? My little guy is cruising but is mostly interested in figuring out how to stand without support at the moment. 

edited to add: We are going to be on vacation over his birthday with both sets of grandparents.

Mouse pulls up and will walk around the table or down the couch but no independent steps yet.

We aren't walking yet here crawling good,pulling up and stepping while holding on a lot.if he holds our fingers he walks fast but he doesn't have the balance he thinks he has lol

My son will walk with his little handheld walker or if he has something to hold onto like the wall, furniture, etc.

Just walking while holding on to furniture or holding on to hands here. But I think he is ready to get moving with his 3 older brothers.

Zoey will cruise with furniture she took a few steps pushing a push toy the other day . I'm just in shock they are all this big already ! We have been planning bears first birthday already -- it falls on super bowl Sunday so we're trying to incorporate it somehow

It's official guys! As of tonight I have a walker! My sweet girl will be 10 months old tomorrow. I don't know where the time has gone. I'm sitting here bawling wondering where my baby went? Anyone have a tub of ice cream and a bottle of wine they would share? Lol

@jmslater25 That's so exciteing! How long was it between your LO's first steps and really walking? my little dude has been cruising for months and can take about 3 steps on his own and then sits and crawls because he's faster that way.

@flowerintherain she has been cruising for a while but she took her first steps on Thanksgiving! Tonight she stood up in he middle of the floor all by herself and came over with a toy she wanted to show me. It's crazy how things change overnight with these little ones!

***Update so from nov 26ish when I posted until exactly his 10/month bday 10/8 we officially have a walker. He lets go and walks independently. He uses the wall, sofa, legs and entertainment system to balance then he's off.

Well, Caleb isn't cruising yet, but he did take his first few steps by himself on Saturday and I don't think it will be long before he just takes off. I'm not sure I am ready for this, he is my 4th and last baby!

Little guy is cruising all around! He turned 11 months on the 1st!

Caleb just started taking off on his own today! He took his first couple steps a few weeks ago and now he is officially walking! Caleb will be 11 months on the 5th.

My little Jacob is officially a walker will be 11 months on the 11th. He is so much like a toddler now Instead of a little baby! Time flies too fast!!! Slow down time... Stay my little baby Jacob!!! but tears of joy and sadness come all at once.

Carmine is 11 months today but not walking at all. He just started crawling at 10 months. My first my son started walking at 9 months and my daughters at 12 and 15 months. But we are in no rush.

Roan is 10 months as of the 1st. Still no walking or even crawling, but he can pivot around in sitting position and scoot backwards. Just this last week he started bracing his legs instead of tucking them in when you hold him up, so at least we are making a little bit of progress.
