I've been using Baby Daybook for feeding, diaper changes, pumping, breastfeeding, etc. I really like it from a user perspective, but it's only available for Android and hubby has an iPhone, so he's been relying on me to input everything - not the best idea for middle of the night when neither one of us is completely coherent. If anyone has any suggestions for apps that both of us can monitor and contribute to, that would be very welcome! Ideally, we'd prefer something that doesn't require account creation or a lot of in depth personal info.
Also feel free to share labor timing apps. We didn't use one since my water had broken, but I'm sure others could use suggestions for laboring at home.
I used a whiteboard with my first to track feedings until she was back to birth weight. Then I stopped stressing about it. Will do the same this time around. I don't like to turn electronics on at night because they wake me up too much, so the whiteboard was an easy solution. we never tracked diapers or anything.
I'm using an app called baby nursing. Right now I'm just tracking when I nurse and diapers. Mainly I need help remembering which side to start on haha.
Thanks @sourlemon - that's helpful. I think if we can't find an app that works, a whiteboard or paper log might be our solution too. Our issue is that we had a bit of a problem with losing a significant amount of weight (17%, from 5 lb 12 oz to 4 lb 13 oz) so the doctor strongly encouraged us to track that sort of thing so we could report back to her with accurate data. Plus we both are data-oriented people, and I have not been great at remembering when I last pumped and fed her. Hopefully if/when I'm able to breastfeed effectively it'll be less of an issue!
@ea301 FTM here, but I've heard great things about Baby Connect. It's a paid app, but the reviews are super high for it.
ETA: the labor app I have is called Full Term and is a movement tracker and contraction counter together. I also downloaded Doula, which is supposed to offer support through contractions. We'll see if I can stand her calm voices when labor gets real

We're also using BabyNursing. I like that DH and I can both enter data (both have iPhones though). It's been a life saver for us. We needed to carefully keep track of diapers and feed every two hours, plus have me pump after feedings to we refer to it constantly. We're trying to be better about tracking sleep, DH loves looking for patterns in it, but we tend to forget to log the naps and the middle of the night sleeping.
We used Feed Baby Pro to track everything and absolutely loved it! We used it in conjunction with The Wonder Weeks leap tracker and will absolutely use both again
I'm can get way too OCD about tracking kind of things so I'm going to try and go without so I don't go down the rabbit hole. Maybe tally up wet and dirty diapers somewhere but that's about it.
For tracking which side last fed on, breastfeeding class told us to just twist that bra strap before clipping it back on. Or another mom told me to keep a hair tie on the wrist of the side you finished on.
@ea301 i totally understand the data centered personalities lol. I have spreadsheets for everything including retirement savings planned for the next 30 years. but the first week home with dd1 was so stressful with trying to track everything that I felt like I was gonna lose it. that's why we ended up going to a whiteboard after she was up to birthweight. I felt liberated!
@sourlemon you know... that is a good thought. hubby says we still have whiteboard paint from our old house so we may be making one soon for the baby's room

Although I am EP right now, so I just set an alarm on my fitbit for 3 hrs from her last feeding/my last pump.
