In honor of what can sometimes be an overwhelming or contentious holiday, especially with a newborn, I thought we could all use a little safe space thread to tune out the families. And of course a place to say hey to our non-American Bump friends!
Happy thanksgiving from Canada! For those of you getting to celebrate, try to enjoy your family time and I hope your hormones don't make you too crazy with the in laws xo!
Haha. @kristah2 my hormones have already started raging and the family hasn't even arrived!
My induction is tonight and that's all anyone wants to talk about while it the very last thing I want to spend all day chatting about. And the smell of turkey is kinda grossing me out...
We're still in the hospital. My mom went ahead and cooked all her Thanksgiving goods and brought us a Pyrex feast for dinner! So thankful.
About 45 minutes after they arrived, DH's mom and dad showed up. We were expecting them, but they were never specific about time. We were even more surprised when they showed up with.... brother-in-law & wife, great aunt, niece and nephew. It was nice of them to come visit but a heads up for the giant crowd would've been appreciated!
We had a pizza party in the hospital with my parents, bro and niece. The hospital offers a special meal to new parents or u can choose pizza for a group. The waiting room we used (bc it has tables) was also being used by 10ish people all waiting for a delivery. No way would I have wanted a group like that right away!
