I had to tell a few people at work. I am a teacher and need people to cover my room while I go puke. 
Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go?
Not for another 2 weeks..

I am super jealous of everyone that has had appointments! This wait is killing me.

Any good bland protein ideas? Eggs are out. I've been living off of applesauce and saltines. I feel like I need something more but nothing else sounds good.

I love fall! The colors where I live are breathtaking.

@mrs35 Sorry you are in the throes of morning sickness   Mine hasn't hit yet.  I just read in the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy that cottage cheese actually has quite a bit of protein.  Maybe try that?  Almonds, greek yogurt, lentils, and beans all have lots of protein too if any of those sound appetizing to you.

Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? This is my first check in!  So far we've told our parents and siblings.  We are waiting until after our first appointment to tell the rest of the family.
Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? No appointments until 12/9.  Just 2.5 more weeks....
Rants/raves? Only one and a half more days of work this week!!!

Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? Im on vacation and telling random strangers so I don't do anything I'm not supposed to.  Looking at you spa with no treatment options.
Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go?  Yes!  All is fine.  A heartbeat, measuring well.
Rants/raves? I'm paranoid about whether I look fat or pregnant to other beach goers.  I'd prefer pregnant...

GTKY: What is your favorite season, and why?  Winter!  I live in a climate where it doesn't snow, but we get most of our rain in the winter.  Since it rarely rains the rest of the year, it's always just nice to have the change.

Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? We told my in-law! S/he will be their first grand baby. We got them mugs that said "Grandpa" and "Grandma" on them, and they assumed they were from our dogs. (Lol.) We are flying to my hometown for Thanksgiving and will tell my family over the holiday. Can't wait!

Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? Our first appointment is tomorrow and our
dating u/s is scheduled for 12/7. I am excited to see the doctor and have a bunch of questions ready. I am really hoping they can get my labs back same day. God forbid there are some issues with my blood work I would like to know before the holiday. I can't imagine many people are working the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Rants/raves?

Rave: I shared the news of my pregnancy with my boss and he was so thrilled. His genuine excitement meant so much to me. I work at a very small firm and there really was no parental leave policy to speak of because the need for it had never come up. This not knowing was a bit stressful prior to deciding to try for a baby because I had no clue what type of leave I would have, if any. He emailed me yesterday to say that he giving me a very generous paid maternity leave. I am so thankful for this and to work at a place where I, and my (growing) family are valued.

Rant: I stupidly volunteered to cook Thanksgiving dinner prior to finding out I am pregnant. My husband and I love to cook, so normally this would be something we would enjoy doing together but now I have no clue how I am going to survive on my feet all day with weird food smells. Woof.  

Questions for FTM, or STM+? What does round ligament pain feel like and when does it usually appear? I have this weird dull ache in at the very bottom of my stomach and have no clue what it is.

GTKY: What is your favorite season, and why? Fall! Although I live in the south so fall is really like summer light.

@mrs35 I'm a FTM too, but I always go to Greek yogurt and peanut butter when I feel like crap but know I need protein! Actually, one of my favorite snacks is about a half cup Greek yogurt with about a tablespoon of peanut butter and a drizzle of honey mixed in. If you can stomach apples, it's a great dip to go with them!

How far along are you? 4+5
Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? This is my first check in! So far just DH, my eye doctor, and my pcp knows. We'll tell his parents and sister at Thanksgiving.
Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? I saw my pcp yesterday. She confirmed pregnancy with a urine test (I could have spared her that with the half dozen sticks I've peed on!). Also sent out blood work but I won't have results until at least tomorrow. Scheduled with an OB for 12/19.
Rants/raves? This week is CRAWLING by. We head home (about 5 hours away) tomorrow after work and time could not be moving any slower. It doesn't help that none of my clients seem to be working this week...
Questions for FTM, or STM+? Ooops! I didn't know this thread existed, so I asked a question re: interviewing multiple obs in a separate thread. Forgive me! Though I think it could help other FTMs.
GTKY: What is your favorite season, and why? Fall! I love the colors and sweater weather. Plus, it is Halloween season, my favorite holiday. So many good memories of my dad surround home made Halloween costumes!

How far along are you? 7 weeks on the nose 
Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? Nope. I almost had to tell my bosses after my scare last week, but thankfully they didn't ask for too many details or give me a hard time. 
Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? Yeah, I had an appointment because I was bleeding. I got to see baby really quickly on ultrasound, and (s)he has a heartbeat. I also found out yesterday that my repeat labs look great. 
Rants/raves? I'm not allowed to run or lift weights because of last week, and I'm on pelvic rest. I am dying to exercise and I want to have sex . I may try stationary biking today because the doctor said as long as I wasn't doing anything too strenuous that I should be okay. 
Questions for FTM, or STM+? Nope.
GTKY: What is your favorite season, and why? Fall, for sure. I love going to the pumpkin patch, as well as cooler weather and no humidity. 

I also love as the seasons start to change. I could never live in a place that doesn't have four seasons. One of my siblings lives in southern California and she misses experiencing four seasons.

Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? I actually told my bosses yesterday, and they were so excited! We're preparing for a huge audit in a few weeks, so I just wanted them to know early for planning purposes. 

Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? No, first ultrasound is next week. 

Rants/raves? I'm just loving all the joy right now with the pregnancy news and the holidays.

Questions for FTM, or STM+? For STM+, was there a particular resource you used for a timeline of when it would be good to research certain things (birth plans, car seats, etc)? I work best on a timeline, and I want to make sure I don't forget anything until the last minute!

GTKY: What is your favorite season, and why? Summer all the way! I live in Florida where it gets super hot, but I love it! I hate being cold.

Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? I told a former coworker last week when I had dinner with her in San Diego.
Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? I had my first ultrasound yesterday. Only one in there with a beautiful HB of 132. They moved my EDD by 3 days based on the measurement. I also went to an endocrinologist this morning and get to take a really low dose of Synthroid now "to be on the safe side".

GTKY: What is your favorite season, and why? FALL. The leaves, the sweaters, the apples, the pumpkins...I could go on. It is one of the main reasons I moved back to Northern VA from Florida.

Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? Just a few close friends that knew we were trying
Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? None until the 6th. I don't know if I can make it that long. lol
Rants/raves? Not really. I am just chugging along, trying not to read all the things on the internet that will make me worry. 
Questions for FTM, or STM+?  Is anyone else having any regular mild cramping? I don't know if I'd even call it cramping because it's so dull, but I've noticed it for about a week on and off. Seems like it's normal - I haven't had any spotting or anything else alarming along with it. I haven't really had any other symptoms really. My breasts aren't so sore that they hurt (really more so by the end of the day they are a little bit sensitive), no nausea at all, and just really hungry first thing in the morning. So the "cramping" is the most predominant "symptom" which is worrisome.
GTKY: What is your favorite season, and why? Hands down dall. All the colors.

@spk112 I totally hear you on the seasons! As much as I hate Midwest winters sometimes, I could never live somewhere where I couldn't experience the change in seasons.

I hear you on the exercise as well - I haven't been limited by a doctor, just my own paranoia. I did get on the bike trainer for about 30 minutes yesterday and it felt GREAT! I hope you have the chance to do the same!

@Krys I've also been cramping pretty much every day since I turned my test.  I'm trying not to worry about it as well.  I've read that if it seems less intense than your usual period cramps, it's typically not a problem.

Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? I had to tell my coworker last week because we were going to be together in a car 8 hrs a day all week and I wasn't sure how that was going to work out! I wasn't sick until the last day, thankfully, and it was awkward to say anything. Makes me more nervous to tell my other coworkers!

@Cait32 So glad to hear you are taking a personal day!  Mine really helped me last week.  I hope yours does the same for you.  I'm also very interested in cloth diapering, but don't really know where to begin.  I found this website yesterday that explained different types of cloth diapers that I found helpful:

@Bnbruegge1988 - other than the mild cramping (for lack of a better term), I feel 100% fine all things considered (and based on what I was expecting). Just a little more tired than usual, but nothing terrible. Hanging tight til my first appointment trying not to freak myself out. Hope to have an "official" due date in 2 weeks! Hope you're feeling well, too!

How far along are you? 8+3/4 (had an U/S this morning that moved me up a day)
Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? So far, only my good friend knows, and my dentist. DH and I are planning to let the family know at Christmas. I'm trying to decide when I want to tell the boss... sometime in December I think just so they have a heads up. 
Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? Had follow up with U/S this morning! Baby is growing like a weed! Has a strong heartbeat and looking more humanoid (saw the facial profile and some movement). 
Rants/raves? Rant: This whole "when should people know" thing because people are stupid about the way they treat you when you're pregnant, or think you are (sometimes).

Not so far - just hoping things keep progressing well and no problems arise!

Sounds like we are in the same boat! My cramping is gone, which makes me worried and I don't know why! And my boobs are sore but, for now that's it! I am so sleepy! 2 weeks from today is my first doctors appintment, let me know how your doctor appintment goes! @krys

First time posting here! I'm really REALLY bad with secrets though so we've told both sets of our parents, one set on his grandparents, my grandmother, my sister,  and a few close friends. 

Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go?
I had bloodwork done last week to check my progesterone level. They put me on supplements and I went back yesterday for more bloodwork. Still waiting to here back. First real appointment isn't until 12/14

Rants/raves? 
My symptoms are still so mild. That's definitely a rave but it makes me a little nervous. I'll just enjoy it for as long as it lasts!

Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? First check in. So far my job knows. I had to tell them because I need to avoid certain chemicals now. I want to tell my family on Thanksgiving but my husband doesn't seem to want to. We haven't had our first appointment yet. 
Any appointments since last week's check in? First appointment with PCP tomorrow

Rants/raves? Is it just me or is anyone else feeling stressed?  I worry if there's a baby growing in here. Or if my period will start and it'll be just a fluke. I spend half my day researching because I feel unprepared.

GTKY: What is your favorite season, and why? I love Spring. Weather is warming up and nice rainy nights which are great for sleeping. I love to watch my flowers grow.

Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? A great appointment yesterday, baby looks perfect

Rants/raves? I'm still spotting. And I know that having a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday probably aggravated things since I was already spotting beforehand but I would love for it to just stop so I can breathe a sigh of relief. At this point I just keep looking back at yesterday's US picture whenever I start to feel nervous

@Knottie1445455256 I'm a FTM too, so I can't tell you how to get over the worrying, but I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone! I'm not having many symptoms yet and I'm terrified that my period is going to show up any minute. I should be getting blood work back from my PCP soon, which will make me feel a bit better.

On another note, you may want to change your username - the knottie-bunch of numbers is really hard to tag!

@Knottie1445455256 I am a FTM too and the worrying is crazy!  I'm so nervous this pregnancy isn't real.  So far how I've coped is I took a personal day off of work to just zone out and watch TV, not think about anything.  I think playing with my dogs has helped too.  Hope you can get some stress relief soon!

@krys I also had intermittent cramping until 6ish weeks or so, I don't think it's anything to be concerned about unless it's severe!
@lfk2013 did they tell you how high your tsh was? I had my bloodwork done yesterday and mine was right at the upper limit of normal and I'm wondering if my doctor's office is going to call to say anything about it or if they'll just let it be

Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? We told our best friend who is around a lot. She knew we were trying so it made sense to tell her. We're telling my parents, brother, and SIL tomorrow (well, I am, DH works Thanksgiving so I'm traveling alone) and then my in-laws Saturday.
Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? I had blood drawn Saturday after some minor spotting Friday. Numbers are up and we are good. Spotting actually stopped by the time the office called me back
Rants/raves? I wish I could eat more! Nothing is appetizing. Sweets are especially not appetizing and a nice parent made us pie today at school and I didn't eat any...sad...

@manillabar - I've had it tested a few times at the RE. During my 2nd beta, they tested it and it was higher than my baseline (which was just below 4). So they highly recommended an endocrinologist as they prefer number around 2 or less for TSH. I just had a full thyroid panel done and it was 2.86, so it dropped, but my new endocrinologist says they like to see numbers of 2.5 or less for pregnant women. My endo explained that it's more likely for your TSH to go up in the 1st trimester because your body is working hard and the baby's thyroid hasn't developed yet.

Have you told anyone about the pregnancy since last check in? No! We're holding strong and trying to wait until Christmas for family and close friends and 18 weeks or after for work. 

Any appointments since last week's check in? How did it go? My OB office doesn't do first appointments until 10 weeks, and no ultrasounds until ~12-13 weeks. So I've got a while to wait 

Rants/raves? So excited for Thanksgiving and a day off tomorrow!

GTKY: What is your favorite season, and why? Fall! Love the leaves changing, getting a little cooler, apple picking, etc.
