    How far along are you?
    5w3d

    How are you doing?
I am having a tough time right now.  If I make it through this week I made it further than I did last pregnancy.  5w3d is also when's I had bleeding with my son.  I have been thoroughly examining my TP at each bathroom break.  On top of that fear, I have been doing my research on sensitized pregnancies after finding out that I have antibodies present, thanks to my dr failing to perscribe me the rhogam shot when I miscarried.  The more I read the more terrified I am.  It's shaping up to be a high risk pregnancy with a ton of blood work, lots of scans.  Has anyone had the materniT21 testing done?  Can It tell you fetal blood type?

    When is your next appointment?
Dec 8, and my list of questions is getting really stupid long...

    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
On Thursday we are heading down to Arizona to celebrate American thanksgiving with my family (we live in Canada) and I'm really looking forward to putting away my winter boots and busting out my flip flops for 4 days.

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over?
If it's my husbands entire family I usually go for something like spaghetti or jambalaya, something easy to feed the mass of people.  If we are just having a couple friends over we love to BBQ, or I make a mean butter chicken!

  • How far along are you? 6+3

How are you doing? Pregnancy-wise, I feel fairly terrible! Nausea really kicked in yesterday and now I just feel like I have to barf most of the time and also, need to eat CONSTANTLY and the only things that sound good are simple carbs. Loss-wise, I'm okay. Since I had an MMC before, having symptoms is no comfort to me, since I had every symptom last time and it turned out not to mean anything. I had blood drawn on Friday to check my progesterone levels and waiting for the results is always a little bit triggering for me, so I'm trying to stay calm today.

When is your next appointment? I have a scan next Tuesday, and I think I'll be really nervous leading up to it since theoretically, we should be able to see the heartbeat and that's something I never did in my first pregnancy. Just going to try to stay as centered as possible.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My SIL and her family (including the world's cutest 9 month old!) spent the weekend with us and my heart melted seeing my husband with the baby. He's going to be such a good dad and he's been so sweet and helpful while I've been feeling sick.

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? I love to cook! My default is lasagna - I make a really good one with bolognese sauce and smoked mozzarella!

  • @leilac Thanks, I feel like an emotional mess these last 2 days.  I am so mad at my family dr for not giving me the rhogam shot, I wouldn't be here If he would have.  I even brought it up to him a few times while going through my miscarriage.  Needless to say, I will be switching family Drs.    Will this be your first round of blood work after going on the progesterone supplements?  Will you get the results today?  Keep us Posted!

  • @MrsN092714 Yep! My doctor said if my progesterone hasn't raised significantly, I'll need to double my dosage, which I hope I don't have to do. I also get nervous about the HCG every time. I should hopefully find out this afternoon - sometimes they're slow about releasing the results.

  • First time posting here? Introduce yourself! Hello! I'm 34 and this is my third pregnancy. First ended at 8 weeks with a mmc, second was a chemical. DH is 29 (robbed the cradle!!) and we are so excited to grow our family. We've been at this for 2 years now and praying this is the baby that sticks.

How far along are you? 5w4d

How are you doing? Really well. Emotionally so much better than the first pregnancy, which is odd. I figured I'd be more anxious. But I really feel at peace with this one. I also have a shlew of symptoms (boobs, tired, dry mouth) but overall feel really good.

When is your next appointment? I had an OB appt for today (with no US - just bloodwork/education) but postponed it to the date of our US with our fertility dr. With our previous loss, I don't want to get too far down the road in case the US brings bad news again. US is Nov 30.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: EVERYONE around us is pregnant and showing big time. Can't wait to have the belly and feel confident that there is a real, live baby in there!

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? Something simple like a roast you can leave in the oven for hours and pull it out and serve. Easy!

  • First time posting here? Introduce yourself!
I'm 28. This is my 2nd pregnancy. Had a mc last year. Hoping this little one sticks.

How far along are you? 5w 6d

How are you doing? My boobs hurt and look huge today. Occasionally nauseous and constantly tired.

When is your next appointment? 11/28- follow-up appt on my low progesterone levels.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: happy Christmas season is just around the corner

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? No peek beef or lasagna
  • How far along are you?
    I'm 6w6d.

    How are you doing?
Not to bad. It's very cold today with a real feel of -14 so we closed the food truck and I actually have today off!! Woot Woot woot!!!
    When is your next appointment?
Next appointment is a followup on Nov 30 to see if heartbeat improves and I feel that it will. Already hit a milestone last week with seeing the heartbeat even though it was in the slow side I'm not too concerned.
    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Always sending myself good thoughts and trying to be positive 24/7. I spent a lot of time in the past being a pessimist and unsurprisingly having a shitty time with life.
GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over?
I rarely have company over, but in the past I've made Thai style spicy fish stirfry, Thai green curry, Bangladeshi Curries, pasta, cakes, steaks, roast.... calm stirfry. Depends in who is coming over and their ability to eat spice mainly lol.

@MrsN092714 sorry you are having a hard time. And PGAL brain is so tough. Stay positive!

@leilac lasagna is something I haven't had forever. When I was a kid, my mom learned how to make lasagna and she made it for breakfast, lunch and dinner for two months straight lol! This was better when she learned how to make strawberry shortcake and all we had to eat was cake for all our meals! Lol

@missymoore912 we have the same app date!
  • How far along are you? 7 weeks 2 days

How are you doing? On pins and needles for the next ultrasound. I have ZERO morning sickness and keep reading about how that means a 4 times greater risk of MC, especially for moms over 35 (I'm 35). I've never wanted to barf so badly! Instead I want to eat everything I look at. I do have breast soreness and fatigue though.

When is your next appointment? Ultrasound tomorrow (Tuesday)

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: We went to a Friendsgiving last weekend and we were one of only 2 couples without babies or visibly pregnant. It was so hard not to say anything, and to deal with the fear that we'll never join the rest! Also getting pretty tired of the PIO shots - the first few steps out of bed each morning are a doozy for my hips.

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? Chinese takeout :-) hahaha. I love baking pies though - we made an apple with lattice crust and pecan for Friendsgiving. My MIL (who knows we are preg) outsourced the Thanksgiving pies to our cousin because she thought I'd be too tired - it's thoughtful but I was looking forward to baking them!

  • @Chamomile I have zero morning sickness too and I heard from others that they had perfectly healthy pregnancy without morning sickness. Everyone is different. There are some people that have no symptoms at all! I knew someone that didn't even gain a belly! I'm sure if she had bleeding throughout she may not have ever realized she was pregnant!
  • @MimoCa thanks for the reassurance! I think I need to stop asking Dr. Google questions - I had a half day off today so of course I turned into a Google monster!
  • @Chamomile I've never heard that (about the morning sickness) but some stuff I've read said that only 80% (or something like that) of women have morning sickness - so I wouldn't let that worry you. I know it's so hard, but try your best to be thankful for no sickness.

I'm 5w6d and I have very, very little nausea. Occasionally I'll feel like I'm going to throw up and then it passes in a few minutes. Then I feel perfectly fine!
  • @Chamomile Dr. GOOGLE IS no one's friend. Lol I had him drive me crazy too so I get it, I'm sure we all have lol
  • How far along are you? 5w 2d

How are you doing? Doing good, still super anxious..with 4 m/c's in the past..Im a nervous wreck!!

When is your next appointment? First appt and u/s are 12/1. It cant come fast enough!

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: HCG and prog levels are looking good, helps the anxiety a bit.

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? Tacos! Or hubby grills.

  • @MrsN092714 - sorry you are having a hard time. PGAL is so so tough. Sorry about the mess up with your previous m/c. so scary. I had complications with my D&C and it just adds insult to injury. I'm glad you are writing down all your questions. And hooray for going to Arizona to see family!

@leilac - I feel you on the symptoms and the MMC. Symptoms are no comfort for me either :( Good luck waiting for results. I love lasagna!

    @missymoore912 - welcome!

@MimoCa - glad you get the day off! I want to come over and have you cook for me. I LOVE curries. yummy!

@Chamomile - tomorrow is almost here! Good luck waiting. I agree - Google is bad.

When is your next appointment? I go in 2 hours for another check in with my OB.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: We are officially home owners! woo-hoo! took forever but we bought the house we've been renting for 4 years. Feels crazy to be homeowners in Silicon Valley but we work our butts off so its good.

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? Usually we grill.... or I make a big pot of soup.

How are you doing? I'm anxious and I know I shouldn't be. I saw a heartbeat 2 weeks ago but I'm still nervous.

When is your next appointment? This Wednesday, it's either going to be a great Thanksgiving or an emotional one.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I hope everyone is going to have a great holiday this week.

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? I order pizza If it's lots of people. Otherwise it's BBQ with simple sides.

  • This thread is for July moms who have previously suffered a loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, etc).

How far along are you? 5 weeks, 3 days.

How are you doing? It has been a rough start. I posted last week that my first two beta draws were to slow to rise; the doubling time was 83 hours. I went for a draw today so I should find out tonight or early tomorrow what the status is. I did cheat and take a few of those Clearblue Digital with the weeks estimator and my results changed from "Pregnant 1-2-" to "Pregnant 2-3". Due to the number of losses I have had (3 losses, 4 babies), I will always feel a sense of doom.

When is your next appointment? Right now next week 11/29, but it may be sooner depending on what the blood tests reveal.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I decorated for Christmas with my daughters this weekend! I love this time of year.

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? Chicken tacos in the crockpot or Chicken Parmesan.

@missymoore912 best wishes for your ultrasound!

@chamomile totally there with wishing for symptoms, but not actually wanting them. best wishes for your ultrasound!!

@momiofoz glad your levels are looking good!!

@ladipale congrats on the house!! hopefully the bed rest flies by and the OB check is all good!

@bonbonpaw I'm pretty anxious is totally normal....for our nonnormal.

@runner313I was going to do that with the digital tests, but my cheap side won. Just impatiently waiting...and waiting....

How are you doing? good. just past the point of my prior loss so that is good. anxiously awaiting my appointment. happy and totally annoyed by symptoms.

When is your next appointment? december

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: thankful to have made it past the point of prior loss. still nervous and cautiously optimistic.

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? totally depends on who is coming. lasagna, crockpot and breakfast (waffles/quiche) are my top.

  • @ladipale That's great news!  Glad to hear babe is doing great and the sch is shrinking!  I'm guessing your still on bed rest?

  • How far along are you? 7+4 according to my LMP.

How are you doing? I'm losing my mind. This pregnancy is literally screwing my brain up. Not knowing if I'm actually pregnant or if my body just missed the whole thing is making my psycho.

When is your next appointment? I have a viability ultrasound tomorrow. I've been waiting a week for this.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I can't stop being pessimistic about this pregnancy and I don't know why. I haven't had an miscarriage symptoms minus my bleeding that one day, which shouldn't have even been a concern as I bled a few times my last pregnancy. I'm just needing this ultrasound tomorrow to tell me what's going on. Limbo blows.

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? We don't have any friends or family here so nobody comes over. We would probably make chicken parm or something though. My husband was a cook at his old job so he can cook just about anything.
  • How far along are you?
    8+2
    How are you doing?
Pretty well - but man I feel like I have to constantly eat or something bad will happen with nausea. This pregnancy is in general pretty different from my last one at this point, so not sure what to expect next (hopefully that's a good sign!).
    When is your next appointment?
Tomorrow morning - follow up U/S with specialist - hopefully all good news and releasing me to the regular OB! Can't wait to see the baby! My MMC was found at 10 weeks and was measuring around 8 weeks, so nervous! (I feel you ladies who have symptoms but had MMC and doesn't feel helpful!)
    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I slept all kinds of weird last night and am sore all over today! Shoulders, hips, back, ankles, ugh...
GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over?
chicken and rice - simple and hearty.

  • Update! Got my numbers back from Friday's draw at 6+0. My progesterone is up to 16 (from 6-7) and my HCG is at 32,000 (from about 12,400). It's normal for the numbers to start doubling way slower after they hit a certain level/weeks, right? The nurse said it was fine, but it still makes me nervous!

  • Well I just got a call from my Drs office confirming that the Anti-D antibodies are definitely present and I am looking at at least monthly blood work and a very possible referral to a MFM.  I am definitely happy that I have been doing some reading so this isn't so out of the blue but I am scared... they did say the D is less of a concern than the K antigen... so bonus?  Nothing like throwing some more stress in the mix.

    *TW loss mentioned **

First time posting here? Introduce yourself!

I'm Jess and I'm new to the board.  We just found out we are expecting last Friday so it's been a bit of a whirlwind!  I'm 30 and this is my 14th pregnancy.  I had 12 miscarriages in my first marriage (doctors kept saying "these things happen") and then lost my daughter at 22 weeks.  This time around, I was sent to an RE and they had me to genetic testing. I was diagnosed with APS and the plan was to TTC for 3 months med free (other than metformin and aspirin) and see how things went.  We were shocked to get our BFP the first month out.
    How far along are you?
I'm 4 weeks ish.   According to my LMP I should be 4w4d right now.  But my first betas were really low so my RE thinks that we may have implanted late.  He seems to think we are earlier than 4w4d.  We'll find out at our ultrasound soon.
    How are you doing?
I'm doing ok at the moment.  Still kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop. The doctor said all looks well and that my motto for this pregnancy is "Feet up, stress down".  I started Lovenox injections last night and they suck.  But it's all worth it for this little rainbow.
    When is your next appointment?
Our first ultrasound and next appointment with the specialist is 12/23.  So hopefully we will have a photo to show family at Christmas this year.
    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Rant:  Lovenox.... you suck..... you hurt... boo.   But thank you for keeping my baby and I safe.  Rant over.
GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over?
My go to meal is one of three things:
    1.  Twice Baked Butternut Squash with apples, cinnamon, and maple sausage.
    2. Shepard's Pie
    3. Biscuits and Gravy (just like my Granny taught me).
I tend to cook heavy and enough to feed an army.  Trying to be healthier though, so we don't eat like that often.

How are you doing? doing pretty well physically, mentally I am nervous.  My loss was actually just before conceiving this one.  So, 6 weeks 1 day ago was the day I miscarried, and then 2 weeks later I was ovulating... so yea.  nervous.  I have two healthy boys and never analyzed the way I was feeling like I am now!

When is your next appointment?  December 8, can't wait!

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Rants that I want to tell people :-) Especially those who I told about the loss, but I havent told anyone yet (other than DH!) because I dont want the possibility of having to tell them about another loss... so yea.  Positive vibes would be appreciated though!

GTKY: What's your go to meal to cook when company is coming over? Having DH grill something  I'd rather make fun side dishes than a main dish, so I leave that up to him!
