Omnitrope (or other hGH) for better embryos?

Hi Everyone,

I'm waiting to hear back on how many of our 4 blasts are PGS-normal and slowing going nuts.

Last time only 1 out of 4 came back normal and failed to take. So my RE added Omnitrope to my protocol this time in the hopes that will improve the quality of our embryos. Has anyone else here been given Omnitrope or some other hGH and wound up with a better result?

@LeFemmeViolette I would love to hear about this too, let me know if your embryos come back better because we seem to have bad embryos also!

Hi there, I did my first round of ivf in May and had 4 blastocysts that were biopsied and sent for CCS testing. All four came back as abnormal. I did a second round of IVF two months later and included DHEA and Omnitrope. I ended up with 14 blastocysts and 5 were normal. Not sure if it was the DHEA, omnitrope, or just plain luck but the second cycle was significantly more successful. Good luck to you!

We were bummed when we wound up with the exact same number of blasts as last time, but I'm clinging onto a little bit of hope that 2-4 of them will be normal this time!

I used omnitrope every cycle. However, the first cycle, I only used it 2 days and the second cycle, 3.  This last cycle I used it 5 days.  The last day, I used up the rest of the vial, which was 1.5 doses. I don't know if using it longer helped or not.  Good luck!

@Vic311 I'm a lot more nervous about this step this time around. I imagine I'll probably get the call on Wednesday. I'm torn between wanting to remain blissfully ignorant and knowing the results. Ughhhh this process is the wooooorst....

@LeFemmeViolette I was exactly the same way. Thankfully, my RE's clinical coordinator emailed me with the news days before I was expecting it (results came in early). I didn't have time to get nervous. And yes, this process is not easy at all

We got our PGS results sooner than I thought we would and...

WE HAVE THREE PGS-NORMAL EMBRYOS!!

I am SO relieved. The last few days have been filled with shitty curveballs and I thought today would follow suit. Our 3 embies are made up of 2 day 5s and 1 day 6. Initially, I'm thinking about transferring one of the day 5s, and then if needed, transfer the other Day 5 with the Day 6 together.
