Facebook group now?

I know some people don't want to start a facebook group yet, but I also know some do.  I'm one of the ones that want to.  I would like to get a group started, so we can get to know one another before the babies are born.  Does anyone want to start one now and the others can join later or start their group?  I feel like small groups are better drama-wise.  What does everyone else think?

I'm still on team wait till post baby.

ETA: there are moms that will not move on from here with us.  I personally feel we should remain here for this pregnancy journey so we can continue and finish with ALL of the moms that started this together!

I'd also like to wait. Not necessarily until after baby, but maybe until late January-February.

I'm waiting until later too. I am still only most comfortable with sharing HDBD pics. Baby steps.

I agree I would like to get settled there pre babies though. JMO.

I'd like to join a Facebook group come early February, but am still getting comfortable with people here first. Also, even if I join a Facebook group in a few months, I promise to come back and check on people who's stories I have become invested in who don't have facebook and/or choose not to join us on Facebook - like @Gators&BoSox!

several of my old BMB moms made a secret/random Facebook account just for posting with our group. Always an option if you want to tag along but don't really want Facebook for family and friends

I'm on team not ready for a FB group, but I know I can be to the conservative side of these things (I don't even do HDBD photos). Also, I'm really limiting my FB time right now because between the news, what's happening with my friends, and arguments/debates my stress level goes through the roof, so I like being on here where I know there's camaraderie and my blood pressure won't spike.

I'm all for one starting after Jan/Feb-ish but still leery of security stuff so I probably wouldn't join myself until after my baby arrives.

@klz0330 I am totally down for fb! Now or whenever. I am already apart of a fb group for mommies and moms to be, I don't feel as if it has taken my time away from keeping up with my bump friends and weekly check ins. So if you decide to start a fb page please let me know, it would be nice to be apart of something smaller on fb especially ones who are due in march also. my name is Jessica Adkins feel free to look me up on fb, I'm from Oklahoma!

I'm for waiting. i like that we kind of all have a rhythm and system now here.

I'm comfortable waiting for everyone else! I'm in no rush but don't want to be left out!  

Also whenever one of you ladies make a fb group it's a good idea to have a post for matching our bump screen names to our fb name so we all know who is who for those who haven't posted a face picture on the bump. It's different associating with actual names and profile pictures vs our bump names!

I'm ready to move as soon as possible.  The app is glitchy for me number 1.  But secondly, I am in 2 groups from my Sept 2015 baby and the one that started sooner is a much closer knit group of ladies.  I feel that starting earlier helped the group grow closer.

I'm on either way. I'm on fb and my security settings are tight and I pick and choose what I want to share. I agree with the person who said we need to post a bump picture to makes sure the page isn't hijacked by someone isn't really pregnant. It should also be a closed or secret group.

I'm pro-Facebook. It's just easier. TB is fine on desktop but it's hard to use on mobile. I think people would continue to use both. I respect anyone who isn't ready to make the move, but I'm personally ready.

 I mentioned starting one in December, but I don't see a need to wait.  But I don't want to be shunned from TB either.

TBH- I only get on TB when I'm at work. I don't want to be on a computer when I'm home and let's be honest, TB App stinks. So, I would rather have a Facebook group. Whoever starts a group, please let me know

I am down for a facebook group  i hate this app and it may be easier to chat and share things through facebook.

@kellyt22 that's how I feel! I don't want to get shunned but the app stinks and like @bradleerick I only get on here at work, I would still do that even with the fb group. I just see the fb group as being easier access and easier to keep up with. I do love what we have here on the bump!

And if it is a real GROUP then being facebook friends would just be an option later   i am in groups on facebook but we are not "friends" and our info is still private depending on your personal settings

The app is crappy. Desk top is so much better. I have to sit myself down with my laptop to post.

I'm fine with now, but I also don't want to leave a bunch of people behind if they aren't ready.  I guess I want what will make the most people go to Facebook at the same time lol

I'm so ready for FB group. The app is just terrible, always crashes, makes posting so hard. I would be far more active on Facebook, and you're such a wonderful group of ladies, I'd love to actually develop more of a relationship with you, but this forum makes it difficult. I'd still pop in here, but am pro Facebook all the way. We should have made this one a poll.

Since we have several that want to join now should someone go ahead and make a group or should we wait until January?  I don't care at all.  I just wanted a group before the babies are here, so we can get to know each other.  I know in my other mom group the first baby was born two months early.  If we do start one, who wants to start it?  I only do facebook mobile and I'm not sure I know how to start a group.  @jadkins17 @lcarp203 @hisqueen78 @kellyt22 @kap1988 @bradleerick @cbhemi1218 @datalover13 @mrsyimster or anyone else that wants to???

@jadkins17 that is fine by me, if you don't care to!  Maybe you can tell us the name of the group and we can search for it.  Is that how it works?  I do think we need to do a closed or secret group for sure, but I'm not sure we can search for those.  Or we can see what others say.

We've set up a private, secret group. High security stuff here, ladies. To keep things as secure as possible, I don't want to post the link. The only way to get in is by invite. PM me your email address, and I'll invite you. I'll crank out invites as fast as I can!

No one should feel pressured to leave as if it's their one chance to be apart of our March FB community. 

I'm not at all intending to cause cliquey drama-pick them or us kinda thing- I understand why some people are ready to switch.  but for those that are uncomfortable and want to wait till post baby: I'll gladly set up a different Facebook group for us all in April and only allow people we ALL can recognize as regular bump users

@kjd291 Maybe it's a little unconventional, but I don't see why people wouldn't just join later if they wanted to. I'm all for an "open enrollment" type of group which is respectful of all comfort levels. I hope no one feels pressured to leave, just as I hope anyone who is in FB doesn't feel unwelcome still being a part of this board.

I agree with this. I'm not sure why another group would need to be created. If people want to join the group, they can simply do so when they're ready. Personally I feel that creating another group for when people are ready would create a division and it would start to feel cliquey. I know that would not the be intention, but it would come across that way because now we'd be talking about an us or them situation. If a group already exists, why create yet another group? Kelly's already making it pretty secure with people having to PM her with their email address so she can send an invite so it's not as if just anyone can join. It's also a secret group. Maybe I'm just not getting the big deal?
