WTF Wednesday - 11/16/16

WTF husband. Friday is my birthday. My first one as a mommy. And he wants to drop in to a party to introduce Mason to classmates. he has this whole plan in his head on how the evening will go. Including it being a really late dinner (I can't go that long until supper these days, especially where what I eat during the day is limited when you can't put baby down) and me having to go see a bunch of people I don't know first so they can maul my child who doesn't have needles. Also meaning I have to somehow fit into decent clothes, get baby ready and feed him all before leaving for said party. Not how I intended on spending my first mom birthday and he's making me feel so bad for not wanting to go. 

Edit: oh! He also told me causally last night his mother is coming down December 9th. His mother who told me I'm going to be a horrible mother. And told my step mom that I'm not affectionate and won't love the baby enough... coming. Just in time to make me feel like a horrible mother right before Christmas. Great. 

Today is a horrible day on these ol PP emotions.

WTF indeed, @kristah2. Sometimes the DH's mean well but just so totally do not get the whole PP thing. It's the only time in our relationship I've ever yelled at him. And do your best to ignore MIL; I know I do.

WTF to my induction date - 6pm on Thanksgiving night. Like, seriously, we can't move that to Friday morning?? And HOW THE HELL is this baby late?? I thought the second one was to move along faster... ugh, which reminds me that my hormones need a serious check (I keep crying for no real reason).

@kristah2 There is absolutely no way I would go. Forget all the reasons it's inconvenient for you (and there are a LOT of valid reasons it's inconvenient for you), I wouldn't take a brand new baby to a party with a bunch of people who may or may not be healthy. There is no way I'd risk having LO get sick when he's that little. Your husband needs to understand that and relax. Plus, who wants to spend their birthday with a bunch of strangers?!

@SandNStarsNJ  Induction is scheduled to begin 7:30 PM Thanksgiving night for me too. I will be just about 42 weeks! Hoping not to need the induction... FTM here, I knew baby would probably be a little late... just hoping she won't be 2 weeks late!!

WTF baby, you are 5 days late... only just dropped sometime last week, and other than me being super irritable lately, no signs you are coming anytime soon... 0 dilation at my last check on Monday...

Interesting on the Thanksgiving night inductions - you would think they would wait until the next day. Mine is set for 3pm Black Friday, so I can shop beforehand haha

That meme sums it all up. Just waiting waiting waiting and hoping babe arrives asap. Otherwise I'm sure I'll get an induction date at my appointment today.

@kvruns They want to do mine before 42 weeks which would be black friday. They suggested earlier in the week, but I want as much time as possible to let this baby come on her own. They'll start with Cervadil or something when I first get there, then probably in the morning if labor hasn't started, they will start with the oxytocin. Really hoping this baby comes by sunday so we don't get close to the induction date. We had no plans for Thanksgiving anyways, since we figured we would have a 1 week old baby about then and not wanting to take her places yet.

WTF bladder. Have gone pee every 10 minutes for the last..... hour and a half. Good. Grief.
Finally decided to just get out of bed, and now i'm on the couch so i won't bother DH. GAH!!

@hoosiermama this is me too. I stopped flushing at night a long time ago because I would waste so much water if I did every time I peed ha ha. Also on the couch because hips hurt so bad laying down what's the point

38 + 4 and here's a new WTF symptom. 3 days of peeing. Standing up to wipe then peeing all over myself and the foor. Ive now just left several towels my the vanity to grab. I have no idea. Gravity and baby head?  Ugh. Hurry up. I bought her a Turkey shirt thinking NO WAY she'd make it to 39 weeks (4th baby)....zero cm. #peepants

Have you tried leaning forward once you *think* you're done peeing? It helps empty your bladder fully.

@ojsmom I usually empty my bladder and then sit there for a few minutes. Just by waiting a minute or two I can usually empty my bladder a couple more times which helps eliminate return visits. Maybe try that?

I've become either really efficient or inefficient at emptying bowels - going every few days has turned into up to twice a day. The peeing I took as a given, this is another nuisance

Late to the party but...same as many of you ladies... WTF to the constant pee sessions. I too just sit there and wait a few minutes for more and I flush like every third time I go because I felt I was wasting so much water flushing each time. I guess we are a group of conscious ladies lol. Also WTF to gas every time I stand up or move from a side position to reclining in bed. It is so annoying. If he moves enough I feel the gas building up. GAH! I am ready for this little to come out.

so I know i am technically still working and thus if my employer is paying me I should be working. I get it. But is it really a good idea for coworkers to keep sending me new projects to work on when my due date is tomorrow? And these coworkers know that my due date is tomorrow. wtf

@kvruns oh wow! I am working too but all my new requests are already going to my assistant since last week... No way I would take on new projects when my last day of work is tomorrow. Send them a friendly reminder.

@ladybugme101 oh they know, and get reminded. My boss actually just sent something out today with who to go to for what. The problem is I dont really have a backup or counterpart so I think they're trying to get as much from me as they can but its like do you really want me part way through a project and then it sits for 3 months and no one knows the status??

@kvruns that's gotta be frustrating. Hang in there, you can only do so much. Just try not to stress and only do what you can.

Agreed. I mostly just laugh and roll my eyes. I have everything done that has to be done and anything someone tries to throw in last minute I'm not worrying much about. If it doesn't get done it isn't my fault haha

Wtfffff — I chopped off my hair today! Some background: my hair is like my signature thing. It hasn't been this short probably since... junior high? (I'm 27.) Ahhh! I was in shock at the salon, but I love it more and more.

Me too!  I got some layers cut in, but 10" from the longest layer and 14" from the shortest!

WTF dreams! I dreamed that large spiders lived in my house with me and I avoided them but didn't bother or kill them (Why would I do that? I HATE spiders!) but then when they died I would save their bodies in my garage because they were my "friends". At one point in my dream my sister tried to throw them away and I got really offended. Honestly, might be the strangest and most disturbing dream I've ever had especially considering how freaked out I am by just the thought of having a spider in my house. Bizarre.

I know this is old from last week but I need it. I went to pick up a toddler bed for our youngest tonight and called my husband on the way home to see what he wanted to do for dinner. he said he wanted subway and I couldn't decide what I wanted but I stopped and got that for him. by the time I got home (7pm) I had decided I wanted Chinese food. I asked him if I could go back out later to get it and he said yes. we put the girls to bed and I hung out and nursed little man and dozed off at 830. I woke up at 915 and apparently my husband had gone to bed. I called out for him to take Nicholas but he didn't answer so I went in the room and he basically told me too bad because he was asleep. thanks asshole. I'm not taking the baby out in the cold and pouring rain. so I guess no dinner for me. it's fine. I only stopped and got you dinner, why should I get to eat too.
