Sorry for the delay this week - visiting ILs throwing me off. Also, I haven't commented the last couple weeks, but I'm still checking in on you ladies, just haven't had the mental capacity to respond.
Weeks:
Next milestone/appointment?
Rant/Rave/Anything else:
Questions?
GTKY: Getting controversial - are you planning to use disposable or cloth diapers?
39 + 2 just had an apt yesterday, 2.5 cm dilated 60% effaced. Still no signs of labor though. I will get my titer results on Friday and if my antibodies have gone up will schedule induction for early next week. Otherwise it's up to me weather or not to induce we will cloth diaper during the day and probably use disposable diapers at night and while traveling same as with DD.
Next milestone/appointment? Appt on Friday. I have been having lots of contractions for the past week, so I'm curious if there will be any change. I have said no to a sweep up til this point, but I might say yes on Friday.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: The insomnia is killer. I was up from 3:30-5:15 last night, and then my 2 year old was up at 6:30. I am tired.
Questions? Nope
GTKY: Getting controversial - are you planning to use disposable or cloth diapers? We use disposable. We live in a pretty constant state of drought, so we needed to consider the environmental impact of the use of water.
Also just checking in on you ladies. Almost there! I'm so excited for you to have your little rainbows!
After everyone gives birth should we change this to rainbow baby check-in? I know there aren't many of us here but rainbow babies are kinda a big deal.
I think it's a great idea to change this to a rainbow baby check in. This is such a big deal for all of us and I would love to stay this little bit in touch.
@tigerfish227 - how are you and Vincent doing? How's your c-section recovery going? I hope you are getting the support you need to focus on healing yourself and loving on that baby boy!
Recovery is going pretty smooth from a physical standpoint. I'm having some minor emotional issues with it. I think it's just going to take some time to get past the feelings in having about how I had to deliver him. Overall I'm happy but I'm struggling with not having had the birth I really want.
I had a little bit of a rough moment this morning because I pumped for the first time. Vincent took the bottle from DH like a champ. That was very emotional for me since nursing/feeding him was the one thing that was completely mine and I didn't have to share it. I'm glad that he didn't fight the bottle since it will be easier once we get to a point where I can't be with him all the time but I'm also not ready to give up my mommy time. I'm definitely not ready to start really building a stash yet so at least I can control how much we give him bottles and still have nursing be a priority.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: my last day of work was today and I had an NST before. What was supposed to be the typical 20 minute one turned into two hours!! My OB probably would have sent me over to the hospital for monitoring sooner but I was practically begging her not to bc I still had to finish some stuff for my sub. Luckily she let me wait it out until baby got her excels.

So I have been having a lot of fears lately mainly related to the idea of possibly hemorrhaging after delivery due to retained placenta. I had retained placenta with my first and have heard it's likely I'll have it again. I don't know why but the idea won't leave me alone. My dr said they would use and ultrasound to make sure it was all out but even if they find some I have heard the attempt to remove it could cause a hemorrhage so I'm still worried. One of my miscarriages too was "sticky" and during the D&C the Dr had to do a lot of scraping and I did bleed quite a bit. So I'm making this a big deal in my head when I know I should just be trying to relax. Anyway just venting. I just want this to be all over and holding a healthy baby in my arms and everyone is ok.
@rspalding001 so many hugs! I don't really have any advice but I wanted you to know that I'm sending positive thoughts your way. I hope you have a smooth and uneventful delivery. Good luck!
@tigerfish227 well they admitted me today because I've had a slow leak of amniotic fluid since around 2 am. We discussed hemorrhaging in depth with the nurse so I know everyone is aware of my concerns now which makes me feel better. Looks like the little guy will be here soon hopefully! Thanks!
