UPDATE *TW* news from my US this afternoon

In a nutshell: there is no cute US to post with a little bean of a baby inside a sac. Instead I have a completely empty gestational sac without a fetal pole or yolk sac. 

My OBGYN was partially hopeful, saying that it could just be too early, despite the fact that I think I'm around 7w2d... she said I could be far behind that guess which would mean not much would show up right now. She was also partially preparing me for some real bad news, telling us about blighted ovums and saying that even though I am still testing positive (I still POAS every other day) and feeling pregnancy symptoms, there IS the possibility that there is no embryo. 

Next steps are to wait for lab results and have a follow up US a week from tomorrow. The lab work I had done was a variety of things, kind of like one part blood work to find out if someone is pregnant, and the other part blood work to check the health of a pregnant woman. So I went directly after my appointment and was obviously emotional (DH was with me, thank God), and the idiot phlebotomist was asking all kinds of dumb questions like "why the hell are they sending you down here to have prenatal work if they don't even know you're pregnant?" "have you taken a pregnancy test yet? You know those are pretty easy and some are pretty cheap if you get a coupon." OMG. Shut. Up.

My OBGYN said she may call me with results tonight, but it could be tomorrow morning too. I'm hoping it's tonight since I have a long meeting in the morning and don't want to miss the call. Then I have to go back Thursday evening to get repeat labs so that they can see if they've increased since today. Then, US next Wed. All fingers and toes crossed that it's just too early to see anything, and that I totally miscalculated my EDD. I will keep you updated!

FX that it's just too early! This happened to me with my second and it turned out it was just too early to see anything and she's now a happy almost 2 year old. I'm hoping the same for you. Hugs

@peachy13 - I had my appointment today and a US as well. Doctor also saw an empty sac. I have an appointment with radiology tomorrow for a super strong ultrasound. I know it's difficult, but try to stay positive - that's what I'm doing. (Oh, and according to my LMP I'm 7 weeks, 2 days but the sac was measuring 6 weeks, 5 days)

So just a little update... my OBGYN called me this morning with lab results. Everything looks normal with how I was measuring at yesterday's US, except that my progesterone is a little low. Not super low, but lower than it should be, at 6.5. I am going tomorrow evening to have repeat labs and will find out Friday morning if they have increased. If everything increases except for the progesterone and they determine it's a viable pregnancy, they will put me on a progesterone supplement to help me through the rest of the 1st trimester (I SO hope this is the case), but if nothing increases, it sounds like it will be bad news. I also still have the follow up US a week from today. I am anxious and trying not to be sad, but it's hard not to worry. I have done more googling than I care to admit in the last 18 hours.

Stay AWAY from Dr. Google! I learned that the hard way with my last pregnancy when I bled for the first 8 weeks and all it did was make me miserable. I know it's SO hard not to do your own research, but if you trust your doctors, all Google is going to do is convince you everything is wrong. I am hoping and praying for the best for you and take hope from the rest of your numbers looking within range!
