This thread is for July moms who have previously suffered a loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, etc).

First time posting here? Introduce yourself!
Hi, Im Jessica. I am 32 and my dh is Tristan who is also 32. We have a 15 dd, 13 ds and 9 dd, as well as 4 losses. I work as a Paraprofessional at our local middle school and love my job!

How far along are you? According to lmp I am 4w5d, but I think I may have ovulated a day or 2 late..so give or take a few days. Will have a dating scan in 2 weeks.

How are you doing? I am a nervous wreck! But I am so excited! Just had my 2nd betas done this morning and my doubling rate is 36 hours which relieves some anxiety. Im on progesterone supplements and my levels are good there at 30. Will go back on Friday for another beta.

When is your next appointment? I go Friday for 3rd Beta and go in 2 weeks for 1st u/s.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: We will not be sharing the news with anyone but my bil and sil until xmas. It is so hard to keep this secret!

GTKY: What's your skincare routine: Not much of anything, moisturizer and hemp lotion.

  • @momiofoz seeing those numbers climb does help.  Hopefully your next round of betas brings more good news!

  • @Runner313 my heart hurts to hear that you have suffered through 3 losses.  I really hope this one turns out well - please keep up is posted.  I'm staying positive for you!!!
  • First time posting here? Introduce yourself!
My Name's Angelle,28, been married 3 years but together a total of 12.  I've had 4 miscarriages and have one son who is 20 months. 3 have been in the last year.

How far along are you? 7+4 (farther than most yay!)

How are you doing?  up and down. Mostly positive because this one feels more like my pregnancy for my son but I can't help but worry. I had a scan at 5 weeks that showed an empty sac and blood work that had really high HCG levels so I kind of panicked but went back a week later and had a heartbeat!! 97bpm but Ill happily take that. I was super nauseas around 6 wks to the point where I was having trouble keeping water down but it went away and now Im just queasy. So of course Im worried, but Im still sick so I guess its better than nothing

When is your next appointment? Dec 6! ugh can't come soon enough! Hopefully I'll get another scan

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Feeling pretty optimistic about this one. Family all knows which is a change form the last 3 times.

GTKY: What's your skincare routine? I need to start a better one. My face gets so much worse when Im prig
  • @Runner313 I'm so sorry you're having to worry like this. Any update? I'm sending all the good vibes that everything turns out well. Thinking of you.
@ladipale I'm so glad it turned out to be ok. That's great that your ob is having you in next week too!

Just a short update in case anyone in interested - nurse from my OB called back and they felt that unless my very light spotting gets worse (more flow/turns red) or I start having bad cramping, that I am fine and we will keep the 12/5 appt. I didn't spot at all the rest of the day yesterday and then just once this morning (barely could even tell) so horray on that note! I am having period-like cramping, but nothing too bad.

Just a rant - I am quite surprised with my OB's office. I see so many women who have a loss and their doc at least does betas, tests for progesterone, early scan...SOMETHING. I feel like my OB is just 'well there is nothing to do and we don't typically see people until 8 weeks so we'll see you then'. I have always liked my office, but I really just thought they would have wanted to see me or something, but perhaps I am being whiney. Okay rant over.

  • @GG620 so glad to hear the spotting has tapered off. It's definitely not Whiney to think about an early appointment. If you are really feeling unsupported with your ob then it may be worth trying a new one. If you really do like the practice though and are ok with waiting that's totally fine too! I'm just mentioning it bc I  w a dr for a while and was just not very happy w the care I received post m/c and once I switched I felt like I had much better care. Every situation is completely different but for me, the switch was the right call.

  • @gg620 Don't feel like you can't switch Drs, or if getting your betas drawn really will give a piece of mind then request it for your current Dr.  The worst they can say I say no which might just encourage a switch...

@ladipale I am so sorry to hear this and am sending all the good vibes your way.  Keep us updated.

Hi! My history is in my signature but if you're reading on your phone like I often do and can't see it :-) I'm 35 and had cancer at 29/30 followed by ovarian suppression for 3 years. After we got the all-clear to try and start a family, I got pregnant right after cycles returned at 33 but had a MMC not long after seeing HB at 6 wks 2 days (didn't realize til 8 wks). Since then no luck, a few failed IUIs, a failed IVF, and then a recent FET which (so far) has worked!

How far along are you? 6 weeks 5 days

How are you doing?  All over the place. Trying to stay with the positive thoughts (plus signs: this cycle I feel much healthier than during the fresh IVF, GS/YS measured right on target at 5 wks 5 days and there was a flicker of cardiac motion) and not get bogged down by the negative thoughts (no nausea, betas were not high, is this going to happen again??)

When is your next appointment? viability ultrasound at 7 weeks 4 days (next Tuesday)

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm with IrishRose - I miss wine! I lay on the couch after I get home from work with a cup of tea and a hot water bottle on my feet and visualize warm loving vibes to the little one in there, and it helps calm me down.

GTKY: What's your skincare routine? Dermalogica - I love the stuff, I sound like I sell it! Active Moist lotion and Special Cleansing Gel in the summer, Skin Smoothing cream and Multivitamin Power Firm eye cream in the winter.
  • @ladipale yea for still growing!! two weeks is forever but will fly by. 50/50 had just as much positive as negative.you are still here!! all the good thoughts!!
  • @MrsN092714- making my way through Gilmore Girls right now!

  • How far along are you? 6w6d

How are you doing? I wanted to wait until after my ultrasound to post - all is measuring right on schedule and we saw a heartbeat! We did never saw the heartbeat last time, so I'm super hopeful this is the one.

When is your next appointment?  Dec 5 with my OB

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:  The nausea has set in today, but I never had any of these symptoms with my MC, so it makes me glad to have them. Kinda - nausea sucks.

GTKY: What's your skincare routine? At night I remove eye makeup with micellar water, wash with Fresh soy cleanser, apply essence, then moisturize with either Caudalie or Kiehl's midnight recovery oil. In the morning, just wash with water.  I've been considering picking up some Juice Beauty moisturizer since I just ran out of my other one and it's all natural.
  • @irishrose54 no update yet. I am going for another blood test tomorrow and will know more on Monday. Thank you all for your kind words!
