@MaMaBear1323 Is your situation an anomaly? Do non-FTMs "typically" go this far over?

@hoosiermama my entire  pregnancy is an anomaly really. I have a Septate uterus so he is fairly restricted to the left side. I think this influences his ability to "get in position". A 9+lb baby in half a uterus. I thought second+ babies were suppose to come sooner, DD was born on her due date. Even my OB said that I shouldn't still be pregnant. Baby just can't get into position and engage in my pelvis. I am a bit concerned because DD got stuck at 7lb5oz  and he is 2lbs bigger. But we'll play it by ear on Monday.

@PrettyPalomino don't worry, I JUST installed the carseat yesterday and I'm 40&6! I guess subconsciously I knew he wasn't coming yet?

@hoosiermama -  I went til 40w 5d with my first and 40w 6d with my second.   Everyone said I'd go earlier with my 2nd, which didn't help my attitude.   

I had an appt yesterday at 39w 5d.  I got a NST,  because I am older.   Baby looks great.   I have been contracting painfully daily since last Thursday.  Both the nurse and my OB were shocked at how strong the contractions were on the monitor,  and we're certain I'd be dilated.   I reminded them I've never had a baby before my due date.   My OB checked,  and sure enough baby is still pretty high,  and I was still just as closed as last week.   She couldn't even get in there to sweep my membranes.   I knew better than to get my hopes up,  but I was excited to at least try a membrane sweep in an attempt to get baby here before Thanksgiving. Next NST is Wednesday.

I'm a third time mom and once again, my baby is very comfortable on the inside and is in no rush to come out. First baby was 40w2d with no cervical progress until water spontaneously broke. Baby #2 was a repeat C at 38w5d, no signs of her coming on her own before that. At my 38w check with this one, zero progress. But I'm having a repeat C on Wednesday, so I don't need to be progressing either.

@MollySm I think my attitude is pretty crappy at the moment! I'm 40&6 and still no dilation! My OB couldn't reach my cervix to try a membrane sweep. I never thought I'd go this far over! Especially because DD was born on her due date! 

I hope things go better for you this time! Will they induce you?

Just returned from my first NST which seems to have gone well, but the doctor is still insisting I have an induction Thanksgiving night... going to work a new angle at Tuesday's ultrasound

I had my second Nst and cervical check on Thursday at 40w3d, still no dilation. dr wants to have another nst and ultrasound on Tue and discuss the induction then. @SandNStarsNJ good luck to you on Tue, i hope we wouldnt need those appointments on Tue though!

Had my first baby check-up today! So amazing having babe in my arms. 
Everything is so far so good. Most of appointment was what to do in case of type stuff.
