Unexpected Pregnancy Wins!!

Haha so we are all super excited to be moms *duh* and that's great!  We are all experiencing different levels of symptoms as well, nausea or insomnia or heartburn, etc.  But what are some of those beneficial pregnancy side effects that we may not be thinking of.  For example:

No periods for 9 months!! WOO HOO!!  :-)

Re: Unexpected Pregnancy Wins!!

  • Loading the player...
  • @amberp1528 and all the naps haha hubby put away all the groceries today because i sat down and immediately passed out on the sofa hahaha

@mezalune oh the eating... lol I can eat a whole box of mac and cheese in one sitting lmao
  • Being able to defer my study for 12 months right before I got to the subjects I was dreading most hehe
  • @kelzor what are you studying for?

@Mrs.DeRuysscher i feel that one too!!  Hubby put away all the groceries today and has been doing all the cooking!!!
  • I second the going to bed early. I'm pretty bad with staying awake at night as it is. It's nice to allegedly have a reason now.

My BF has also been doing a lot more deciding of/cooking of dinner. I think we've had more fast food in the last month than we have had in our entire relationship.
  • Being able to play the pregnant card to get out of doing things I don't want to do.  Family events or anything I'm just not interested in!

All the extra sleep because I'm tired or don't feel well and my hubby doesn't bother me at all or make the dogs bark.  Silence!!!!!
  • Amazing skin! I usually have dry skin and I'm fair so it can look blotchy but while pregnant it's glowing :)
  • Hubby has taken over changing DD's poopy diapers since they have been making me gag. DD has also cooperated with this arrangement and changed her poop schedule from every morning at breakfast, to every night after dinner. I'm not sure why the change, but I'll take it!

Maternity pants at thanksgiving and Christmas.  I'm looking forward to eating all the food without the uncomfortable "I can't fit in my pants anymore" feeling.
Definitely being able to wear buffet pants without shame at the Holidays!
  • I am with @brij2006  and @awillis13 - No litter box and stretch pants.

Also, on the period comment -- I have had one period in two+ years now because of my first pregnancy, breastfeeding, my IUD, and then baby #2. Its awesome. I guess the trade off is childbirth  :D

  • You guys, after a week of constipation pain I have had several very productive trips to the bathroom in the last 24 hours.  I feel like a new woman!  (The things my husband just can't fully appreciate...)
  • @mezalune right I try to explain that stuff to my husband and he is just like huh ok.

My poor boyfriend stood on the stairs and talked to me while I was crying on the toilet. He even bought rubber gloves for me. I had reached a new level of awful constipation. Thanks, Zofran! I am not AS constipated as I was, I switched my Zofran dose to half the amount but still have not been very successful. I'm jealous  of you haha!
  • Oh Lauren617, feel better soon!
