I woke up at least 5 times to pee last night & everytime I was like.. "that really happened.. it wasn't just a horrible weird pregnancy dream." Then it would take me awhile to fall back asleep all sad.
Wtf lack of symptoms. I'm days away from my due date and so far no signs of labour other than Braxton Hicks contractions. Hoping I don't go crazy overdue. Trying to not be too impatient, but I just want to meet him/her!
WTF to no sleep (maybe extra restless due to election) but it
was so hard to find a comfortable position and I kept waking up to pee or just
to sit on my ball and relax by back by swaying... I called in to work so I can
get a couple more hours of "sleep".

pretty much the same here. 9 days away but I'm not even having BH
WTF MIL. No new mom (especially one who is hosting her in-laws) wants to be told THREE times in one day that she doesn't even look like the baby's mom. And the appropriate way to say how cute the baby looks in the carrier is "what a pretty wrap" not "with her skin against yours, you really don't look like her mom. Everyone will think you are the babysitter!" If I'm just a babysitter why is my vag ripped open???
I know she isn't trying to hurt my feelings, but two hour stretches of sleep don't give you enough of a tank to pull from in order to brush off comments like this and I'm doing all the work to keep this baby alive, all I really want to hear is "good job!"
@MrsBigTime MIL's never get it. Mine made several comments to me and DH saying I wouldn't be a good mom. AND told my step mom that I'm not affectionate and she worried the baby wouldn't get enough hugs and love... I'm complete opposite and actually often TOO emotional. All her bad mom comments were when she was visiting in September.. and she wonders why I told her she was not welcome to fly and stay with us during the first few weeks baby was here?! No new mom likes to feel like that.
Dear H, please stop telling me how much your arm hurts after finally getting the TDAP Friday. I had it 2 months ago and have dealt with all the fun pains of growing a baby so kindly stfu about your arm.
@kvruns I woke up Thursday morning at 6am. was up all day, worked the overnight and was up all day Friday with the kids. went into labor Friday night and had baby boy in the early hours of Saturday so was up straight through until Saturday afternoon getting settled in my postpartum room. I maybe got 2 hours of sleep that whole time.. and my husband was complaining Saturday morning because he barely got any sleep while I was in labor. I think husbands are just pansies. it's just extra annoying now..
@leighry I remember my husband complaining to others about being tired. Meanwhile with our first I remember him sleeping through 80% of baby's night waking up and nursing marathons. Must be similar to the man flu.
I have a feeling my H will be the same as what you guys are describing on the tiredness front too! Like when I come home from work + gym and he's asleep on the couch and is all "I'm sooo sleepy" and I'm like uh huh you sat and did nothing at work, came home and slept 2 hours. Yep you live a rough life.
I discovered today that my mother-in-law "reorganized" the nursery. Without telling me. And by reorganize, I mean take things out of the dresser and haphazardly pile them on shelves. I'm trying not to have a rage stroke.
@rhondamorgenstern I say go full rage. What's with MIL lately? That's super nervy...
DH keeps telling his mother how we will be operating while i'm in the hospital and we have DD and yet she constantly turns to me and lays out an entirely different thought process. She operates on "I know best" and when we tell her she, in fact does not, she chooses the path of "easier to ask for forgiveness than permission." Ugh.
@rhodamorgenstern I'd be like well now you can put it all back the way you found it thank you very much... it's what I'd tell my kid, no reason adults shouldn't be held to the same standards as kids right? Plus they should already know better. So irritating.

who does that?!?!
Someone with boundary issues. She informed me that we don't have enough toys to stimulate a newborn. She has rattles, books, mirrors and an activity mat. What else does she need?!?

Nothing!! The most stimulating and beneficial interaction for a newborn is gazing at mom and dads face!
