I totally busted out the maternity pants today and they are amazing! My regular jeans just were not cutting it today. I'm 9 weeks 5 days. Anyone else bust out their maternity clothes yet?!?!
I'm too bloated for my pre pregnancy clothes, but my maternity pants are too baggy. My thighs and bum got HUGE around 8 months when I was pregnant with DD so my pants are all stretched out. I really don't want to pay for new maternity pants, but I think I'm going to have to.
I'm 7 weeks and about to break into them. I gained a bit of weight with a miscarriage right before I got pregnant so I started off fluffy and now the waist band is annoying. DD was a summer baby, so I only have one pair of jeans, and I'm trying to hold out for black Friday before buying more.
Soooooo glad I'm not the only one!!!! I felt a little bad breaking them out already but I was so glad when I put them on and they were actually comfortable and I could BREATHE!!!
I'm living in leggings and t-shirts around the house. When I have to leave the house I'm wearing dresses, for the most part. Though, at this point, if I'm going to wear pants out I'm wearing some "under the belly" maternity pants I have. They're just so much more comfortable with all the bloating.

FTM here so I don't own any maternity clothes yet. The only clothes that hide my blump are leggings and large tunics. Fortunately, I can wear those to work just fine otherwise I would be in trouble. If I wear a regular t-shirt I look pregnant, and I don't want to look pregnant until I start telling people in a few weeks.

I'm 10 weeks today, but I was measuring 10 weeks last Wednesday when I had an US. I had a US every week for 5 weeks because I was going to an RE. But anyways, I'm going out to buy maternity pants and a new bra today because I'm so uncomfortable. Especially the bra! I keep having to unhook mine.

I think I'm in the minority for hating maternity clothes. I didn't wear anything that was actually maternity until I was about 7 months along last time. I just wear leggings, dresses, and shirts that are stretchy/a bigger size than I normally wear.
Speaking of maternity clothes. I sold all mine after DD2 was born. So all I have is 1 pair of super stretched out jeans. But I'm trying to wait for holiday sales to get new clothes. Does anyone know if old Navy/Target etc include maternity clothes in their black Friday sales?? Or should I just take advantage of the other sales going on before black Fri?
Mom to Madison- 5 and Lillian 2....and now surprise baby #3!
I don't even know how maternity clothes work... is it just your regular normal clothes size with expandable belly fabric? What are some of your favorite stores, particularly for business casual? I feel like this is something I will not be keen to splurge on... I'm actually hoping once some of my girlfriends at work know that I'm pregnant, they'll offer up some of theirs!
@kns1988 and @Jendink I'm with you on the new bra. I bought 2 maternity bras from Target at 7 1/2 weeks because my bras weren't fitting anymore and the underwire was so uncomfortable! Now at 10 weeks I'm not sure what I would do without my maternity bras. So comfortable!

I was really fortunate to get a box of maternity pants for work form a friend who is the same size as me. I haven't tried any of them on yet, but probably will in the next couple of weeks. I've lost weight from morning sickness, but am SO bloated!
PSA: I was looking at the Motherhood Maternity site and it looks like they have free shipping today. I'm 10w1d and sporting bellabands with everything.
I'm only 7 weeks and I already can't wait until I can bring out the elastic-waisted pants. I'm a bloated gross mess right now.
I'm just 6 weeks, but a huge bloated mess. I'm in this weird stage right now because I've lost about 4 lbs since I got pregnant, but I feel like none of my pants fit me. However, the maternity pants are still too loose in the FUPA area, because there's obviously not much expansion in that area right now.
Oh, and of course, it's been 5 years since i was last pregnant, and I have moved a bunch of times. I carted a stupid bin of maternity clothes through all those moves, but now I can't for the life of me find it anywhere. Luckily somehow the belly band never got packed in there. I had to break down and order a bunch of new, because I'm very quickly going to need to start wearing them. Friday I had to go to work with my pants held closed with hair elastics.
I don't know how long it's been since I actually wore jeans. I never fully lost all of my baby weight after DS 5 years ago, so I've pretty much been in leggings and chino pants, etc. with elasticated waist bands ever since. I have a job interview tomorrow so I guess I better go try on some of my dress pants to see if they actually fit....

@awoodruff27 Old Navy online does, Target seems to be more hit or miss and the discount is often thru cartwheel only.

So I don't know what your spending range is but I went to Macy's for my first pregnancy because I needed business pants and it's was hard to find anywhere else. They're a little pricy but I bought 2 and wore them pretty regularly between 3-8 months and they were absolutely wonderful for the 4th trimester when I went back to work and things were still tender. I just took them out again last week because I was cramping from how snug my usual pants are.
I had lent all my maternity clothes to my SIL when she was pregnant with my nephew. She boxed them up to give them back but surprise! got pregnant at 3 months pp. Then I got pregnant right after so I was like awkward.. I need those back even though you are using them. Luckily this is pregnancy 5 between the two of us so we have enough clothes to split. She handed me a box yesterday and I instantly busted out some pants. Im only 8 weeks but regular jeans cannot handle the bloat.
This is my first time pregnant so I do not have any maternity clothes so I have been living in my yoga pants. I need to get some maternity slacks here soon as I am a student teacher and can not wear yoga pants to work unfortunately! I am a pulse size women so it will be a while before others can tell but I am sure feeling slightly bigger (even more so in boobs).
My clothes are still fitting me pretty well. I have tons of maternity clothes and would like to postpone breaking them out as long as possible. Most of my maternity clothes are not very dressy and I took a promotion after my son was born so I might need to do a little shopping.
FTM here too and I am so happy for this thread. My mom took me shopping Friday for clothes because my pants all give me upset stomach (more than I already have). But omg I hate those pants!!!!!!!! Everyone says how they love maternity pants and want to wear them forever but I found them to be so uncomfortable, I'm sitting here suffering an upset tummy in my regular khakis! They feel like they are falling off oh no I don't like it at all. But I'm a professor in central New York so I can't get away with yoga pants or dresses due to professionalism and cold! Yuck.
@amberp1528 I am plus size too and had difficulty finding clothes! Keep me posted if u find anything good.
Ive literally lived in maternity jeans and nursing camis straight thru from my last pregnancy to this one (DS just turned one) I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to regular clothes at this point lol.
I'm really shocked that I'm still fitting into my regular clothes at 10 weeks. Especially with it being a 2nd pregnancy. With DD's pregnancy I was using a bellyband and the hairtie method by 8 weeks. My boobs also haven't grown yet and they did by 2 cup sizes by 6 weeks with DD's pregnancy. So I'm still in all my same clothes. Probably helps that I still had some belly pudge left over from DD's pregnancy anyways. So my pants were already accommodating that.

At 8 weeks, I have trouble with some but not all of my pants. I have one of the bands that I will use more often now to cover up open zippers, but I think I'm still a few weeks away from full on maternity wear. I have had less bloat this pregnancy than my previous loss, I think because I haven't been eating as much gassy foods.
I'm at 9w2d. My bras are getting tighter but my normal clothes are working. I'm hoping to put off maternity clothes for as long as possible - as a FTM, I'm not sure where to start. Not even sure what a belly band does or how maternity pants are supposed to fit. hoping to enlist help from a friend when the time comes.
My regular clothes still fit just fine. I tend to lose weight during the first and into the second tri, and have never needed maternity clothes until after 20+ weeks. Thankfully. Like @LMMama, I'm not a huge fan of maternity clothes. I have a hard time that actually fits well.
My boobs are definitely bigger too... are there specific maternity bras, or do you just buy a bigger bra?
Ugh I can't wait to be able to ask my girlfriends about this sort of thing... I'm so clueless. Glad to have you ladies in the meantime!
@tjvan. I usually just buy up a size. If you go to a bra shop and say you're pregnant they should know how to fit you. Currently i am still wearing my regular bra with a sports bra over it but even that isn't working anymore. Need to check my bras or go buy new ones. I haven't had time to buy new ones yet.

I bought some nursing bras from Motherhood Maternity. They don't have an underwire and kind of stretched with me as my breast grew. They even fit after DD was born. Even though DD hasn't nursed for quite some time I never stopped wearing them... much like my lowcut maternity underwear lol
