2: How was your last week? Fitness-wise, it was pretty bad. Still have rib pain (I think I pulled an intercostal muscle while coughing almost 2 weeks ago).  I do think it's getting better though! Got in quite a bit of walking and I'm heading to the gym today fiiiiiiiinally.

3: What are your goals for the week ahead?  Wake up early to do weights 3x this week.  I had a really hard time waking up (plus I'm not sure how much weightlifting I should be doing with ribs).

4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? I'm picking up some new booties from JCPenny after work today, so that's fun!

    5: Rants/Raves/Questions?

6: GTKY: As most of us (all of us?) are in second tri now, what changes have you made to your workout routine since finding out you were pregnant? Cardio is mostly the same except I'm shooting for a lower heartrate. Weights are mostly the same too actually. Biggest change is core - no crunching-type things and lately I've been trying to do more standing and/or propped up on my elbows.  Overall, just trying to give myself some grace for growing a freakin' human!

  • Yay! I haven't seen a fitness update in a while. Thanks for posting @schef070911!

1: How far along are you?   18weeks 1 day

2: How was your last week?  Pretty good. I've been busy with work but I was able to complete 3 workouts, combination of HIIT and weights. Now that my energy is back I'm feeling much better and i"m able to push it a bit more.

3: What are your goals for the week ahead?  4 work outs. So far I've done 3. Again I usually do 20 -30min each one. Maybe for my fourth I'll job...

4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? I'm meeting with friends tomorrow for lunch so that'll be great!

5: Rants/Raves/Questions? Nothing too much now. Everything is good. I have my anatomy scan next week so I'm excited/nervous for it. I hope everything will be ok.

6: GTKY: As most of us (all of us?) are in second tri now, what changes have you made to your workout routine since finding out you were pregnant? Biggest changes are not more jumping/pylometrics - I modify my workouts. Also I don't push myself as hard as I did pre-preg as I don't want to overdo it.

2: How was your last week? I upped my walking amount last week...I've been hitting my step/distance goals on my Fitbit, so that's keeping me motivated.

3: What are your goals for the week ahead?  Starting the 21 Day Fix program again (obviously with the appropriate modifications). It's always been my go-to workout, and I need something more interesting/rigorous than just walking. Ideally I would start running again, but my knees just can't handle it while pregnant.

4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? Going to go maternity clothes shopping next week...gotta get some new pants!

5: Rants/Raves/Questions? Nothing I can think of today.

6: GTKY: As most of us (all of us?) are in second tri now, what changes have you made to your workout routine since finding out you were pregnant? Skipping a lot of my core workouts or modifying the ones that I do have. I switched from regular yoga to prenatal yoga this week as well.

  • 1: How far along are you?  17w + 1

2: How was your last week? Good! I've started a daily squat goal and so far it's been good.

3: What are your goals for the week ahead? Keep doing my squats!

4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? I've got a mani + pedi scheduled for next Wednesday!!

5: Rants/Raves/Questions? I have been taking a strength training class x2 a week since I found out I was pregnant, so 13 weeks, and it's so rewarding to see/feel the results.

6: GTKY: As most of us (all of us?) are in second tri now, what changes have you made to your workout routine since finding out you were pregnant? I stopped running almost immediately. I have a really heavy gait and it just seemed like a good idea. Per my Doctor's recommendation I've been really trying to focus on building strength in my core, back, and glutes/ hams area.

2: How was your last week? Good. I got all of my runs in and even got a fast paced walk in on Halloween while chasing my DS from house to house!

3: What are your goals for the week ahead?Keep up with running btwn 4 and 6 miles 5 days a week

4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
DH and I have a sitter on Saturday so we are fully taking advantage. Going to a movie, dinner, and a post Halloween party
    5: Rants/Raves/Questions?
Just a rant really...today I had pretty bad RLP so my run was kinda blah.
6: GTKY: As most of us (all of us?) are in second tri now, what changes have you made to your workout routine since finding out you were pregnant? I have cut out a long run that I used to do once a week...mostly because I am not training for anything so it just doesn't seem worth the effort. I have also slowed down a bit, which helps keep my heart rate a bit lower.
