Re: Thursday ticker change 11/3

  • How far along are you? 10 weeks today! Double digits baby! EDD 6/1

How big is baby? Size of a kumquat!

Upcoming appointments this week? None! 11/14 is next appointment

Any new symptoms or changes? Symptoms are slowly phasing out. Nausea is subsiding and I have my "healthy foods" appetite back. Have had veggies every day for the last week. That's a serious accomplishment. Nipples still are SO sensitive!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Anyone else on Thursday going for/had a VBAC? I'm planning for one and would love to hear some stories or support one another.

GTKY: Do you work outside of the home? Do you plan for that to change after baby comes?
I work two days per week (T/W) as a pediatric occupational therapist. 10 hr day and 12 hr day. Love my job and the work-home balance. No plans to change at this point in time!

  • How far along are you? 10 weeks!

How big is baby? Strawberry - and actually I got to have an ultrasound yesterday, so I know that baby is 1 and a half inches long!

Upcoming appointments this week? I had one yesterday :)

Any new symptoms or changes? I've finally stopped spotting so much HALLELUIA. Just the same nausea/exhaustion/crying for no reason stuff from last week.

Rants/Raves/Questions? If the weather could finally dip below 80 in Texas that would be great.

GTKY: Do you work outside of the home? Do you plan for that to change after baby comes? I stay home with my 5 year old ( he missed the cutoff for kindergarten this year) and then chauffeur my 7 year old to all her activities. Before I became a mom I worked at Citibanks corporate office. I don't have any plans of going back to work for the foreseeable future :)

  • How far along are you? 7 weeks, but I'm guessing I might be a tad further than that. However we will stick with the latest due date to avoid the induction pressure in our health region. My midwife will know obviously;)

    How big is baby? Blueberry

Upcoming appointments this week? Not until the 17th

Any new symptoms or changes? Nope, just intense food aversions, nausea and what not.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
You guys. I have a Doppler (doula bag for the win), so thought eh what the hell, my PGAL brain makes me do crazy things. I tried it, and heard the heartbeat!!!! Disclaimer: I most definitely know the difference between my heartbeat, placenta and the baby. 1000% confident that it was baby. 150+.... crazy!!!!!

GTKY: Do you work outside of the home? Do you plan for that to change after baby comes?
i work at home, I have a daycare. I plan to close for a few months, and then only take my favorite kids (aka easy to care for) back.
  • 8 weeks today.

My first appointment is Tuesday, 11/8.

I became a SAHM after having DD1. I coach swimming in the evenings for six months out of the year. I've spent the past decade+ running a youth summer program for the city; I'm going to have to resign that position given my due date.

    How far along are you?

    8 weeks!

    How big is baby?

    A raspberry

    Upcoming appointments this week?

First one is 11/15. 12 days!

    Any new symptoms or changes?

Still nauseous all the time. I have a little more energy now though which has been nice. I've been having some real crazy dreams lately.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
I've been having some cramping and back aches and they are making me so paranoid. I know they are normal but you know, they can also mean something is wrong. Ugh.

GTKY: Do you work outside of the home? Do you plan for that to change after baby comes?

I worked outside the home when I had my DD. Right now I'm interning full time for the school year. I hope to get a full time job next year as a school counselor. I just paid (by paid I mean took out loans) A LOT of money to get a master's degree so I could have a profession that lets me spend more time at home. So that better pan out!

  • @devow27  we have the same due date and the same next apt date haha

How far along are you? 10 weeks

    How big is baby? Strawberry.

Upcoming appointments this week? 11/14 is the next one

Any new symptoms or changes? Overall I feel 85% normal. Still get very tired, small amounts of nausea. So much better than week 7 or 8.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I bought a fetal Doppler. I don't have it yet. My PGAL brain is on haywire though and I can't wait till 11/14. I know I might not find the heart beat- it wouldn't make me worry if I didn't because I know they can be unreliable. But if I do it'll just make me feel sooo much better. What do you ladies think of home fetal dopplers?

GTKY: Do you work outside of the home? Do you plan for that to change after baby comes? Yes. No, I will continue to work after mat leave. My salary more than covers the cost of a nanny- which is what we plan to do.

Any new symptoms or changes? I hate all food, exception candy.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?

GTKY: Do you work outside of the home? Do you plan for that to change after baby comes? I'm a wedding/event planner and work for myself. It's a great option to still stay home with my son!
  • How far along are you? 8 weeks

    How big is baby? Raspberry

Upcoming appointments this week? 2nd US next Wed. to check on baby's heartbeat. It was 113 at almost 7 weeks so just want to get an update.

Any new symptoms or changes? more exhaustion

Rants/Raves/Questions? dealing with FEMA and loss draft department is a headache. I cried on the phone out from frustration 2x this week. Ugly crying.

GTKY: Do you work outside of the home? Do you plan for that to change after baby comes?

Yes, juvenile public defender in a very busy jurisdiction. More than likely, I will only have 6-8 weeks for leave and I'll back at it. Good thing is I work 4-4.5 days a week and usually 6-7 hrs in the building.
