Hello Ladies, I hate to be the negative one today, but I have to give someone a paragraph to get it out of my system. I currently have insurance, but have to switch for 2017 because my plan isn't offered anymore. Well because I'm switching plans while I'm pregnant they're charging me another 100$ per month, plus raising my copay, and out of pocket maximum. I know this is just the way insurance works, and I know that they "have" to charge more because they know they are going to be paying out more but I'm just so frustrated. I'm so excited for this little bundle of joy. But insurance is ruining the joy of being pregnant right now. AHHH!
That sucks!! Hopefully, the madness will be short lived and you can go back to be happy about being pregnant.
My rant is about the show "This Is Us." Seriously, just caught up on the show I missed and every time I watch, I ugly cry. Snot bubbles and all. That show just fricken kills me. It also it hysterically funny so your laughing then crying and then back again.
Rave! We moved during the Spring to a new city and I finally took DS to the local library. WHY didn't I do this sooner? It was a huge hit AND we signed up for story time on Friday mornings. I'm jazzed about my small town local library today! Woot!
Rant: i have a horrible head cold and I don't want to do anything. Teaching my unruly 6th graders the past two days has been a nightmare and I feel bad when I get home and want to check out because my babies want my attention.

rant: this week has been a struggle getting through my work day - and today was the worst. I was nauseous all day and just wanted to curl up and take a nap. NOTHING sounds appetizing to me at all.
rave: I made it through the day and stayed pretty productive. I am home in my PJ's drinking a ginger ale and catching up on DVR. Thinking a bowl of chicken noodle soup is on the dinner menu.
I keep telling myself that these not so enjoyable moments are going to pass (please don't tell me if they won't - I gotta keep the hope!)
RANT: my damn insurance company won't pay for my dicelgis and I've been puking or dry heaving for a week now. I'm hoping my dr can make a case to the insurance co bc $300+ for a medicine is INSANE!!! is it too much to ask to not want to puke up every meal!
rave: My DD is super sweet. Wanted to cuddle with me after a long day of work. ❤️❤️
Rant: apparently I can't eat anything dairy. That wonderful frosty I went and got last night gave me the worst stomach ache and gas of my life. Tonight's dinner included mozzarella sticks. Now, it's terrible terrible terrible stomach aches and diarrhea and vomiting. Same thing happened when pregnant with my son. I couldn't eat ice cream without instantly throwing up. Ugh
I was running late to my kids' school this morning and went to run into the house for something before I left. Caught my foot on the bottom step and totally biffed into onto my concrete steps. Luckily, I only hit my hands and knees so I didn't have to freak out and be paranoid about anything. But the bruises on my knees are killing me.
I also tried talking a nap, but thanks to the cold I caught from DH, I kept having nasty phlem running down my throat, intensifying my nausea
Rave is that I have my first u/s tomorrow afternoon and am so ready! I need to see that little bean and a heartbeat to calm my pgal paranoia
Rant- DH told MIL last night that we are expecting baby #2 and the very first thing that came out of her mouth... "oh.. I was really hoping to keep the grandchild count at 6." (This will be her 7th) she wasn't even kidding either.

My doc said that it can be expensive through some insurance companies, have you tried the poor man's version of B6/Unisom?
Rave: Has anyone heard of the kids brand Bang Bang Copenhagen? It's far to expensive for actual kids but I dream of an adult-sized version of their Swan dress.
@Assiram42 I may have to because I'm tired of eating then puking. It's so annoying. I'm ready for this phase to be over! When do you take the unisom/b6? Guess I cpuld ask my dr about it too. Thank you!!
Rant: I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and today was the worst my morning sickness has ever been. I thought it was supposed to peak at 8 or 9 weeks and then get better? Spending the morning vomiting while trying to not freak out your toddler is no easy task.
Rave: My daughter is the best. She only just turned a year old, but is so sweet. She gave me such a long hug before bed that I didn't want to put her in her crib. If I could bring her to bed with me without waking her up and ticking her off then I totally would.
ETA @Elizabethsbp do you live in the United States? I'm almost 100% positive that the Affordable Care Act made it illegal to increase premiums due to pregnancy. I'm not sure about the deductible increase being legal, but I'd look into both if I were you.
@doodleoodle I feel your pain. I'm 9 w 4 days and have puke more this week than any other. ANOTHER RANT: peeing myself while puking is getting REALLY old! If my ins co won't pay for meds I'll be trying the unisom b6 combo! Anything is better than this. Just miserable
Speaking of insurance, I have to get a referral from my PCP to see an Ob when I'm already an established patient at that Ob/Gyn office. The reason being it's a different service. Now I have to pay a copay just for a piece of paper to be sent.
