  • Tired. So, so tired.
  • Loading the player...
  • So much nausea. It's giving me anxiety which makes me more nauseous!

  • Sigh. I feel gross saying this, but the cm is out of control for me right now. Like worse than when I ovulate. I've never dealt with this before.

  • Every time I sneeze or cough I gag. So I guess my morning sickness chooses its times to appear. Unfortunately I forgot to take my allergy medicine last night and I sneezed a ton today.
  • The nausea kicked in this weekend at just past 5 weeks
  • Sigh. I feel gross saying this, but the cm is out of control for me right now. Like worse than when I ovulate. I've never dealt with this before.
Yes! So much yes! It was so bad today I almost got scared it was my period. I had a panic attack until I could get to the bath room. So crazy.
  • I am having very few symptoms and I am trying really hard to not let it unnerve me. Every day that goes by I expect for something new to start but other than being really tired in spurts, there isn't much going on. I know, I know, lack of symptoms doesn't mean anything and I should just be thankful I am not experiencing all the junk so many of you are, but I just cannot rest easy with that, unfortunately.

The odd thing is that I just had a MMC this summer and I continued to have tons of symptoms during the time between baby passing and me finding out (2 full weeks), so it makes even less sense for me to be bothered since I know full well that even with tons of symptoms, all may definitely not be well. I think the lack of symptoms is bothering me so much because the last pregnancy is so fresh and I had ALL the symptoms with that one.  It is so so so weird to me that pregnancies can vary so much in the same woman's body. It seems like the hormone should affect you the same each time. Anyway, maybe I should see this as a sign that this one is going to have a better outcome!

  • @JAGinMI it is so difficult to not over analyze symptoms.  I woke up this morning with less breast tenderness and of course started to freak out a little.  I know, like you said, that symptoms mean nothing and each pregnancy is different but it's easier said than done to not think about.  I always remind myself that my Mom had three healthy pregnancies with zero symptoms aside from a little exhaustion.
  • The nausea. It's killing me. I'd rather just throw up and get some relief rather than feel like I might throw up all day.

Also, I was feeling less exhausted yesterday and decided to get in an hour work out. It was tough. My body was like "hard pass." I immediately followed it with a 2 hour nap.
  • My morning sickness definitely started this morning. As soon as I got out of the shower I was vomiting! I read that heat can increase nausea so I will try a cold shower tomorrow am.
  • @JAGinMI I totally get it. I'm feeling the same, had a miscarriage before our daughter, and I was sick as heck right until the day of the loss.
This time I'm sporadically sick and tired, but that's about it. So hard to calm the mind!

  • I'm depressed today. Probably a combo of not really being able to eat, sleep or do much of anything. Bleh.
I got my new work parking space today, so that should have made me happy. Instead, I'm like why do I have to drive up so many levels??
  • Nauseous especially when I am exhausted. My 2 year old is sick with a fever and cold so battling the nausea and taking care of her makes it tough! This pregnancy is already different as I have to keep going instead of laying down and napping when I do not feel good.

Ugh, I had this SO bad with my last pregnancy. You have no idea how terrible it is until you are experiencing it. My pregnancy ended before I tried anything but I know there are some remedies for pregnant women that can help so you should try to Google what they are, or call your doc for a recommendation.

  • I started B6 for my nausea last night. Has anyone taken this and had a good experience? I'm wondering if it should work right away or take a day or 2.

My doctor recommended unisom and b6 before bed to help with my nausea.  Sometimes I take b6 during the day too.  I feel like it took a day or 2 to really kick in.
  • Nausea, food aversions, exhaustion and maybe some depression? I feel sad a lot and unmotivated to cook and clean.  Could be the exhaustion too but I don't like this heavy feeling.  I'm going to talk to my doctor about it.
  • Extremely sore breasts, fautige and a craving for all things spicy! Have gotten my first few spells of nausea but not often or strong yet. Only 5w6d so still early.

Nausea and exhaustion ... oh my! im sick of being tired and tired of being sick. I'm 7 wks + 5
  • Exhausted, exhausted, exhausted... 7w1d so far and no real nausea (so weird for me - causing me some anxiety actually! HG in both my previous pregnancies from roughly 3w). Some food aversions, super thirsty and hello, constipation. Yuck!
  • Horrible, horrible headaches. I never had anything like these with my first pregnancy. And fatigue of course.

They call it "swamp crotch" and it'll get so much worse in the third tri.

Nausea kicked in for me recently, right on track compared to with my last pregnancy. Also, I'm exhausted by 7pm and needing like 9-10 hours of sleep minimum.

I am so sorry to hear you are going through this as well! When I was really hurting a few weeks ago I decided to cave and have some caffeine because that usually clears me out. I ordered a tall chai at Starbucks with less syrup than usual (I don't like coffee) and felt amazing after!! I want to do it again because I know that works for me but really don't want to introduce more caffeine to my baby. I'm definitely asking for help at my next appointment! Good luck!!
  • It seems my symptoms are on and off  not sure if it is normall sometimes breasts are tender other times hardly at all  tired at times, other times i feel fine

My dr recommended the unisome/ B6 combo as well and it's been a life saver!! Was a little hesitant to take the unisome at first, but it really takes the edge off. My MS was seriously oppressive and now I feel like I can function again!

  • It has been a rough week for me so far! It is 11:54 am my times and I am ready to go to bed! I have felt pretty nauseous all the time. Being hungry makes me nauseous which is weird! I had to take a big test for my teaching license today and had no energy to study at all! I may need a nap today!

Last pregnancy I had read about prunes being great for constipation and they are also a good source of iron.  Just did a google search on prunes and learned they can also help control blood pressure which I am concerned about because I had PIH last time around.  I'll be picking some up next time I go to the store!  My biggest symptom now is extreme exhaustion, I hope it only lasts through the first trimester.

Not sure rules on posting articles but here but here is where's my search lead me https://www.momjunction.com/articles/benefits-of-eating-prunes-during-pregnancy_00121210/#gref

  • For those of you with sore boobs I recommend a sleep bra! I got one off Amazon. It's actually a nursing sleep bra but it's so comfy and my boobs don't hurt at night when I wear it! The brand I got is Lamaze. I thought my boobs were better so I didn't wear it last night and they hurt again so it must actually help!

  • So bloated. I look like 5 months pregnant by the afternoon
  • So, so, sick! Sense finding out I was pregnant at 4 weeks, now I'm 8. After every time I eat I get sick. Nothing settles well with me. It's frustrating but I know it will all be worth it in the end! I wasn't sick at all with my son, so maybe there's a little girl in there!
  • First tri exhaustion is officially here.  My (almost) 5 year old earned himself an extra early bedtime today, and I promptly fell asleep on the couch for an hour and a half until DH got home.  And now I am too tired to move.  I'll be in bed for the night shortly.

  • Anyone else waking up in the morning feeling like their symptoms have gone away only to start feeling like a train wreck in the afternoon? I've felt so good the last two mornings it had me worried, but after lunch the pure exhaustion and queasy feeling kicks back in.

My symptoms are always worse from afternoon to evening.  Mornings are usually my good time.
  • Nausea has kicked in for sure. I made hamburgers the other day, and gagged the whole time I was shaping the patties, then I couldn't even eat mine. Today I couldn't brush my teeth. I gagged so much my eyes swelled, turned red and watered. I also can't eat cookies, which is super crazy for me. Oh, and the diarrhea is out of control. I'm also really tired, and that has only been aggravated by the World Series and a teething 14month old.

  • Sweet relief of constipation!! I make myself a smoothie every morning for breakfast and have been blending in a healthy amount of chia seeds. Within a few hours, my system is working much better! Some mornings, if my stomach isn't feeling too unsettled, I also blend in a lot of kale or spinach for extra fiber (and folate) which also helps the constipation.

I'm still exhausted, getting more bloated by the day, and have incredibly sorry breasts. Nausea comes and goes infrequently and it's never too terrible (yet). When I do get it, I put a couple drops of peppermint essential oil on my tongue and it helps tremendously.

Today I started spotting a little bit but it was just a teensy bit and it was dark brown so I'm not  worried.
  • I am feeling you ladies on the constipation! I barely had any with my first pregnancy, but this baby loves backing me up haha

Also have food aversions while hungry. I'll be starving but can't think of stomaching anything I look at and then it makes me sad if I'm eating something I didn't want.

Oh, and I can't forget being incredibly emotional! I cry over pretty much anything. A nice moment in a movie: tears. Cute video on Facebook: tears. Article giving advice to your past self after giving birth: tears. My 13mo daughter kisses my belly and hugs it without me saying anything: tears. Too tired because I didn't take a nap when my baby napped: tears.

My cm hasn't been too bad yet this time around, but I did have a pea sized glob that looked like mucus plug come out the other day. I've read that it can just be remnants from your mucus plug forming? I didn't have it with the last baby so of course I panicked at first. Other than that, no issues. Knock on wood.

    Thanks, hormones!
  • My morning sickness was so brutal Monday I called in sick to work. Then Tuesday and Wednesday I was fine. Then yesterday, my boss asked me if I was ok in our one-on-one because I was having pre-barfing belch-like things. XD That is exactly why I have already told her I'm pregnant. At least she understands and I don't have to stress about hiding it. "Oh, I have the flu, hehehehe. Yes, for the past four weeks, that's correct."

And this is me on the full dose of diclectin (4 pills throughout the day - available here in Canada).

Good symptoms: My nipple/boob pain is abating! My hair isn't coming out as much when I wash it! This pimple that popped up 2 weeks ago has finally gone away! Last night, I fell asleep at 8:30 and this morning I woke up at 8! (Ok, ya gotta take it as good when you can, right? Ugh, the tireds.)

  • Has anyone ever had light spotting after sex? I haven't had sex since I found out I was pregnant because I was afraid of spotting and this morning I had intercourse with my DH and now I am spotting. My OB told me that could happen and not to worry unless I am needing to us a pad. Has this happened to anyone else?
