I have my 36 week appt tomorrow which begins my weekly checks and cervical checks. I also have an ultrasound to check baby's position and size. I'm really looking forward to seeing lo again since i haven't had an ultrasound since 20 weeks. I will also have my gbs test tomorrow.
Same here, I have my 36
week appointment today... my first cervical check since my first appointment
wow! We are mostly looking forward to finding out the baby's approximate size. I am surprisingly nervous about today
since I hear the cervical check can cause cramping and discomfort after, but it
is all part of it. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my neurologist, here is
to hoping he doesn’t decide to up my medication.
UPDATE: I was told I should expect an 8lb+ baby if I go to term (holy cow) !!!! My fluids are good and the little guy is head down. I honestly have no signs of contractions or any labor related symptoms so this makes me nervous about the possibility of going past my due date of 11/26 (FTM). She said we will keep a close eye on his size and other developments such as my BP which was a bit high. yikes!
Had my 38 week appointment today, 90% effaced and 4cm dilated this week after 75% and 3cm last week. Yay progress! Now still just playing the waiting game...

WOW! That is some serious progress! I can't imagine how you must be feeling... good luck!
Had my 38 week check today - NST looked good, Sonogram looked good, and internal exam showed 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced...I am scheduled to be induced on Monday 11/7, but Dr. thinks I may go in before...we will see how the week goes!
I had my 38 week check up last week and I was 1-2cm 50%. I've been using more EPO, walking, and had a prenatal massage with acupressure. I've been pooing a lot 3-4 times a day since last week and lost mucous plug yesterday. I've also dropped. Praying this baby girl comes soon! I have my 39 week appt on Thirsday. Can't wait to see if I've actually progressed.
Had my appointment today and was supposed to get checked but doctor didn't end up checking me so I have zero clue if all the walking/ exercise, pineapple, is working.
Had my 36 week appt today. Baby is measuring 6lbs 4oz. She is head down. Her fluid is just under what the "normal" range should be. Doc said normal is 8-10 and hers is 7. Something. She wants to do another ultrasound on Friday to check fluid levels again. If it gets below 5 they will induce, if it goes back up then great. She didn't say what they will do if it's the same or within that 5-8 range still. I had my gbs test and she did a cervical check and I'm 1cm dilated. She didn't say about whether I was effaced at all or not. Crazy how soon I'll be holding my baby girl !
had my 37 week appt today (37w4d). last week I thought she said there would be a cervical check but the assistant never said anything about changing but then in the appt the Dr was like do you want me to check, I figured why not. Well she checked and said she couldn't feel the head so wasn't 100% sure he was head down though she was almost positive. Did a little u/s to confirm he is - but I got to see his butt and head so that was fun. Said dilated at 1 but sounds like things are pretty locked down otherwise and he is still higher up
36 week apt today (Tuesday). 4th baby. Ive had Irritable Uterus from week 20 so I'm thinking I'LL BE A 3! ...zero. lol Zero. Tight. And High. No ultrasound yet and havent aince 23 weeks. Wonder if they will do one? I'm ready. Over it. SEX AND WALKING IT IS!
I'll be 37 weeks Friday. Had my 36 week appointment Monday. No check. Had a non stress test today which was fine. Have an ultrasound Friday to check size. #4 for me as well.. I went early with my other 3 so I have a feeling this kid is going to hold out, but I hope I'm wrong. I don't think I can do more activity than I am now, I've already turned up the dial on frequency of sex so hopefully something happens soon. I'm officially in November so as far as I'm concerned that's long enough!!
Had my 38 week check today. Pretty boring, weight, bp, pee in a cup, measure belly, listen to baby. My OB has a hands off policy until 39 weeks, so no cervix check here. Baby is head down and engaged, and at my ultrasound on Friday was measuring around 8lbs. I go back next Tuesday assuming he doesn't show up before then.

Tomorrow morning I have my 38 week check up and am very much dreading the very real reality that the scale is going to be VERY high. I have been eating horribly. On the upside, I look forward to hearing the little man's heartbeat again.
Just write it off at this point as baby. this girl I used to work with had gained like 20lbs in her first trimester and was like "I guess the baby is going to be big" and I'm like ... your red Robin food baby? she didn't think it was that funny. but I did. but this late you do tend to retain some fluid and since baby is gaining a lot more weight it's normal to see the scale move!
@SandNStarsNJ ...I hear ya on the scale and not eating well. My numbers don't look that great.
37 week appointment - check pee, ankles...any headaches, fuzzy lights, baby's heartbeat was in the 120s, but picked up when she started moving again...she's scaring me already!
Went in for 37wk appt Mon and luckily the scale didn't move. Then I get into the room and verbally vomit on the CNM. Besides all the things that bother me about the practice she starts bringing up voluntary induction. I know I'm due the week of Thanksgiving but I'm not going to force him out if he's not ready. At first they said they don't do cervical check until 38wks but she offered so I did it bc my husband had an out of town trip. 2-3 cm and 70% effaced. Not sure how that correlates to how soon baby will be here but luckily he's still nice and cozy....and using my bladder as a pillow!
Just had my 36 week appointment. Baby is still breech, CS still scheduled for Nov 22. She still did a cervical check, cervix is high and closed, and baby is measuring 1-2 weeks ahead; she said she was a big baby. ETA also did a GBS swab which I get the results for next week, but not a big deal since most likely will be CS delivery.
I am very excited to meet her on the 22nd! My OB says she most likely will not be moving from the position she's been in (frank breech), which gives me this really relieving sense of control and renewed excitement! Less than 3 weeks!!!
I rescheduled our winter tires appointment to next week instead of Nov 24th. It's very convenient to know your (possible) delivery date hah

Had my 39 week check today, 2cm and doc is going to schedule me to be induced on Tuesday unless baby comes earlier, which is my actual due date so yay. Excited and nervous , but ready!!
I hadn't had an appointment in 3 weeks bc of scheduling issues, but I finally had one yesterday at 37w 3d. I was nervous baby was still not head down (2 big lumps up high, hiccups up high, etc) , but after not being able to feel her head my doc did an ultrasound and she is head down. Woohoo! She said I'm 0.5cm dilated and did my strep B swab. Now I can relax and labor can start when it wants. Though my first 2 were 5 and 6 days overdue, so I'm not counting on it starting anytime soon.
I had my 38 weeks appointment today (38w3d). Cervical check did not show any change and I think the baby did not engage yet. I am thankful that baby is healthy and everything is going well but I am getting impatient and it seems like our little girl does not want to come out anytime soon. My dr said that he would wait for 1.5 weeks after due date for induction.
Had my 38 week appointment today. My husband came with me this time so we could talk to the doctor about the c-section option. We had the growth ultrasound first and big little guy is estimated to weigh 8lbs 15oz as of today (so basically 9lbs) and we still have two weeks until due date which would put him at 10lbs. So, doc said right now he is just giving us the option to schedule a c-section or we can try the vaginal birth; he just wants me to have all the options right now but isn't pushing one way or the other. The point of the c-section would be to avoid shoulder dystocia and any possible side effects of that. Right now at LO's size the chances of shoulder dystocia are about 10%. But at my next growth ultrasound at 40 weeks if his weight is at or over 10 pounds my doctor will be recommending a c-section to avoid shoulder dystocia. He said 25% of babies over 10 pounds end up with it and that statistic is just too high for us to be comfortable with the vaginal delivery. So we've decided if LO decides to come between now and my 40 week appointment we'll do a vaginal delivery but if I'm still pregnant at 40 weeks and if LO is measuring 10 pounds or more at 40 weeks that we'll go ahead with the c-section.
It's for sure not the birth plan I was hoping for and I hate that I'm pretty much destined for repeat c-sections going forward but who knows, I could go into labor tomorrow (not likely but you never know!). We're probably playing this overly cautious but I would feel terrible for the rest of my life if I stayed stubborn on the vaginal delivery and LO ended up with permanent nerve damage. 1 in 4 babies isn't a small statistic, you know? I'm so glad my husband came with me to this appointment; he thought of a ton of great questions I would never have thought of and I feel good about our decision. I think last week I was just so caught off guard when my doctor brought up the c-section option that I immediately got defensive. But after talking to him I really think he's trying to give us all the options and keep us 100% in the loop.
We'll see what happens! Sorry for the long post; for once I'm not mobile bumping!
@MrsMaryK2016 with my 2nd she was measuring 8lbs 13oz at 38 weeks and my Dr was saying the same thing. She said it was up to us but that if she got much bigger her chances of complications with a vaginal birth increased. She talked to us about shoulder distocia and also brachial plexus injury. I sat there thinking "ugh wtf do I do?" I went into labor 6 days later and labored all day figuring I could do this vaginally but her heart rate increased to over 200 so they ended up doing a section anyway. I wasn't thrilled since I labored until I was 9cm.. but it is what it is now. She was 9lbs 5oz so I think I could have handled that for sure. Hopefully you go into labor soon and are able to push that beautiful baby out without a problem! If not, I'm glad your doctor made sure to discuss all options with you so that you and your hubby can feel good about your decisions.
@MrsMaryK2016 We're in the same boat. At 34 weeks, LO was measuring over 7lbs already. My DD was 7lb5oz at birth and had shoulder dystocia, so we've discussed a csection with this LO being bigger than her. The risk of SD goes up with boys, subsequent pregnancies and obviously large babies. Right now I'm hoping he comes this week(end), before 39 weeks.

I'm a bit behind, but I had my 38 week appointment on Tuesday. Last week my OB checked my cervix for the first time and found that my cervix was 3cm dilated, 100% effaced and baby is low at a +1. This week, I'm at 4cm and my OB is estimating that baby's around 7lbs. Now we're just waiting for contractions to start! Looks like our little boy could arrive any day now and hubby and I are so excited to meet him!
NST and growth check on Tuesday, 36 week Appointment today, and NST tomorrow. Everything looked good. Baby measuring 6lbs 11oz (70th% i think she said) and my fluid levels looked high, but my belly measurement was right on target. 1 almost 2 cm dialated and 70% effaced.
