@lefemmeviolette same little blue pills as you take orally, which is weird but my body reacts better to them that way than orally for some reason. 

@apm_slp that is really cool! I did acupuncture during my first FET and while it was relaxing, it got too stressful to get to the appt so haven't gone since. It also didn't do much for my lining like I had hoped.

@APM_SLP we are transferring two this next time. Hoping for the best but ready for whatever God throws my way (I think haha).

I'm about to lose my mind. I just found out that a 5th woman at work is pregnant. This will be her fourth and I'm over here still trying to have my first. It is so hard when I have to face all these pregnant women everyday! It makes me hate going to work. Sometimes life feels so incredibly unfair.

@rainbowwishes5, it's the worst huh? I cry every time I find out that someone else is pregnant. I really feel like I'm going to lose it.

@lilmissslp I'm so sorry to hear that. It's the worst when everyone around you is pregnant and you are struggling.  Hopefully you get time off around the holidays so you get a break from seeing them.

Thanks @Worldtravler0522, it's just so hard sometimes. Yes, I work in the schools so tomorrow is my last day thank goodness.

@lilmissslp I hear ya. Yesterday one of my managers sent an invite out to our team to go have some Christmas cookies in the breakroom. When we got there, there was a little sign announcing her pregnancy. It is her first, but pretty obvious it happened on her recent honeymoon... implying no struggle whatsoever. I feel like I've been conditioned now to have a negative gut reaction to announcements like these. I wish I could just be happy for them.

Ugh isn't that so frustrating @LeFemmeViolette? I ended up talking to two coworkers today and broke down crying both times. I wish I could be happy for them to. Then I worry that I won't get pregnant if i can't be happy for other ppl. I try so hard to stay positive but just get kicked back down with every new announcement. I fear staff meetings.

@lilmissslp I'm so sorry! That totally sucks and am glad you start your vacation tonight! Just think of all the people that get pregnant that are total brats to everyone, you not being happy for a few people that you work with (in reality, I like to think of it more as you being sad for yourself, which makes it hard to be happy...you WISH you could be, but its just so hard to emotionally and mentally to get to that part) has absolutely NO bearing on why  you are not a mother yet! Don't feel bad about feeling bad or sad. It's human nature and you need to take care of you.

Speaking of announcements.... I logged onto FB for the first time in a month to make sure no one had messaged me. What's front and center? Pregnancy announcement. I grumble and hide the story and refresh the page so it's not staring me in the face while I respond to messages.  What pops up when it refreshes? Another person's announcement.  F you Facebook.

Yup I deactivated my account because I know there will be more and this weekend will be filled with everyone's baby's dressed up for xmas. I just need a break from that.

After my first failed FET I couldn't bear to see all my friends' photos of their kids. I went through my friends list and unfollowed everyone who was pregnant or has a kid. I undid this a month later, but at the time I just couldn't handle it.

Also, I had my first lining check this morning. I'm already at 7mm. As the nurse said, my "lining lived up to its expectation." : )

Another 2 weeks on estrace will hopefully make a nice, cushy home for our little embie!

Merry Early Christmas Ladies!
I am sorry to be joining your group so late and I hope you wonderful ladies can welcome me in still It is bittersweet to see so many familiar faces but I am glad to see we still have each other on the crazy road. Also, I hope its ok but my transfer isn't until Feb 3 so I am a few days past January. A little bit about me, I wanted to wait to join until we made it through leg one (ER and freeze) to see if we were going to make it to transfer since I had so much trouble confirming cycles over the summer. I don't know what it was but it seemed like every time I joined a group over the summer something came up and derailed us. Anywho, I just wanted to give a quick hi to everyone. I have my details in my siggy but we just finished up our ER last Wednesday and found out we had 5 make it to the freezer. 1 4bb, 2 3AB, and 1 3BB. I am praying that they thaw strong and this is our cycle. I am thinking about acupuncture this cycle too, so let me know how it goes ladies!

What was the single best thing that happened in 2016?
It's hard to really put my finger on anything special since unfortunately 2016 turned out to be the worst year ever so far. I got my DX in Feb and feel like everything else in my life feel apart from there, it was a one more after another type thing.

What was an unexpected joy in 2016?
I was surprised by how much support I got from family I don't see often especially in the middle of my life tornadoes. It really brought joy to see how much they cared and supported me even though they don't know 2/3s of what me and DH are going through.

What was biggest thing you learned in 2016?
I learned that I am stronger than I ever knew. IF taught me to speak up for myself and if it didn't turn me into a no nonsense bia it definitely made me more of a spitfire No but I really learned how to find my inner strength and even though I have changed through this process I like who I am now.


What was the best way you used your time in 2016?
I spent most of the year trying to stay distracted from everything so we tried to take small vacations and see family that we don't get to see often. I got to spend thanksgiving with my 95yo grandmother who I don't see very often which was awesome!

Well, sorry for the book but I really am looking forward to getting to know you ladies more and seeing what good things 2017 will have for all of us! Jan. 1 is my birthday so I am excited to ring in the last year of my 20s/New Year with a glass of champs and some fireworks! 2017 Here we come can't wait for better things!

AFM I just spoke with my clinic and my FET is set for 1/10, woohoo!!! I will update myself on the spreadsheet. Do you guys have trouble with the adhesive residue from the estrace patches? I keep scrubbing my stomach to get the dark rings off...I look like i attempted to paint abs on my stomach, lol.

@winnie81 I used eye makeup remover or baby oil to get the patch residue off - it worked really well!

@lefemmeviolette I'm jealous that your work is slow today! I'm counting down the minutes till I get to leave (currently 33!!) but just had a slew of walk in clients and have a stack of files that need actions on them that sadly won't get done. So now I have to try and fit them all in my bag so that I can take them into my main office when I get back from leave since the school I'm assigned to will still be closed. And I'm stressing about what I still need to pack, hopeing the cab shows up on time, not get stuck in traffic, dealing with crazy holiday airport nonsense and then hopefully relax on the plane. I might treat myself to a glass of wine in the airport!

Anyone else still drink before their actual transfer?

I'm going to hold off on the alcohol before the transfer. Only because I'm trying to reduce any inflammation flare ups in my body before the FET. It is my first time, so I just want to make sure that I'm doing everything I can to build a healthy and happy environment for the little bean to hang out in. It will be challenging since there are so many social get togethers this weekend and New Years.  I know lots of people drink before and have zero issues, thats just me though.

@mtpbadger Sounds like your job still has you ripping and running. Hopefully it will slow down a bit so you can enjoy your vacay and not have not much work stress lingering. What do you do?

@lilmissslp I am so happy to have a transfer buddy!! I don't think I have had one in my other cycles Now that date is going to be based on Jan AF but looking at a calendar and giving AF a 2 day window I will most likely be Feb 3rd.

@joslynj11 I'm a Vocational Counselor that works with veterans who have service connected disabilities find suitable employment and send them to school if needed. With spring semester starting in a few weeks it's been crazy busy! I actually had someone get mad at me as I was locking my office door bc I couldn't meet with them!

@LeFemmeViolette that's awesome that you're already at a 7!  My last FET was canceled due to thin lining so I'm praying this time around is different for me. 
I have my last day of BC tomorrow and hopefully have AF show up by Monday. 
We are getting closer ladies!!

@Joslynj11 that would be fun to have a transfer buddy. I'm guessing based on getting my period 1/15 that it'll be 2/2 or 2/3. How many will you be transferring?

@mtpbadger I don't drink much before transfer but I will have a half glass of wine here and there.  I'm probably about a week out now so I won't have anymore.  But my doctors have always told me it's ok to have a little as long as I'm not on certain medication. My RE actually encouraged it to help de stress.  

I went in for a sono and blood work this morning.  My ovulation tests were all over the place, and we were a little worried that I might have missed my ovulation. For those of you that don't remember, I'm doing a natural cycle for this FET. My blood work will confirm, but it doesn't look like  I ovulated. I have a lead follicle at 15 MM. I have a feeling I will be going in on Christmas for another ultrasound and my trigger shot. Waiting for instructions from my RE this afternoon.
