Happy Halloween Weekend! What's happening, people?! Who's partying? Who's eating a lot of candy they're supposed to be saving to hand out on Monday?

I am doing none of the things listed above, haha. 

Today I'm sitting on the couch and catching up on The Fosters. I've got plans to make some new curries for dinner - a cabbage one, a mustard potato one and some kind of dhal. I'll probably call my grandma, too.

Saturday, DH's bff is coming over. He's not been well - just diagnosed with colitis this summer - so we haven't seen much of him lately. It's hard to go from seeing someone once a week to not at all! We're going to all three carve pumpkins (I want those seeds!) and then make a dinner together (Sweet and spicy squash and tofu, cinnamon roasted potatoes and whatever green vegetable looks the best at the market). We'll probably watch It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, which is literally something I look forward to for the entire year.

I think on Sunday we're going to watch some Hitchcock films, just me and my sweetie pie. We also plan to hit up a bookstore a little ways away, closer to the beach than we are, that we never manage to make it to. There's a cute little Swedish cafe on the way; think I'll stop in and get some lingonberry jam for my friend who's obsessed.

@reneeannemm - your weekend sounds nice! My mom has Crohn's disease and colitis, so I have an idea what that's like. I hope his friend starts to feel better soon. 

I am theiwing my first real prtt tonight for DH's birthday and it's the first party in our new house. I'm nervous and excited! I've spent all week getting ready and I'm exhausted. Otherwise, we plan on watching scary movies, carving pumpkins, and just relaxing.

This cold rainy Friday the pup and I are watching holiday movies and reading Jodi Picoult's Handle with Care. 


Tomorrow is craft fair prep and a Halloween party at DHs coworkers house. Sunday is church, ribs and football.

AFM - Tonight is the last home football game (SD is in marching band), so we will be at that tonight. I have a pedicure tomorrow morning. Contemplating going to a Zombie Obstacle Course/Run Saturday afternoon. DH said it sounds fun, but won't commit. It is his birthday weekend, so I want him to decide what he wants to do this weekend. So, I am sure we will be doing something, I just have no idea what yet. That is difficult for me because I am a hardcore planner.

Off today to get ready for the Halloween party tomorrow. DH decorates to the max!! I'm doing a litter box cake so baking and prepping today. Last time I made one people were creeped out by the realism. 

Now to turn up the Pandora and check back in a bit!!

@flipflopped LOL, one of my really good friends makes a litter box cake every year. Last year she bought a new litter box, washed it, and used it for the cake. People were super freaked out by that, so this year she just served it in a pyrex. She brought it to work yesterday for a Halloween potluck. Do you use tootsie rolls or brownies for the "cat poop"?

@NewMommyCoop I have a only for cake litter box and put out a new and clean poop scoop as the serving utensil. once I switched to a regular food serving utensil people dug in...hahaha I use tootsie rolls for poop. this year I could only find the short ones so I'll have to work harder to make the poop look good.

AFM- going down to the Jersey Shore (Long Beach Island) one last time with the DH to have these wings that I've been thinking about for a month before the place closes for the season. Then off to Philly to sample some Gino's and Pat's cheesesteaks and fries. I did buy some more Halloween candy to replace the ones that *mysteriously* disappeared, but I'll be far away from them all weekend so they should be safe till Monday. Soooo pretty much this is me all weekend:

Going out for dinner with a friend tonight, tmrw DH and I are going to a Harry Potter movie marathon at a drive in near our house and will drinking butterbeer and watching 1 or 2 of the Harry Potter movies. Sunday we are making gumbo and watching football and I also need to watch Hocus Pocus and few more Halloween movies before Halloween. lol

@reneeannem - Your curry sounds delish, I have never made curry before so  I will have to give it a try.
@soontobemommahowe - that picture is perfection.
@newmommycoop - that zombie race sounds like fun I have always wanted to do one of those. Hope your DH has a nice day - I hate it when plans are up in the air too. lol
@flipflopped @newmommycoop- I have never heard of a litter cake - post a picture if you can! Using a washed out old litter box kind of gives me the creeps too, haha.
@szwill86 - that sounds like such a fun wknd - I love Philly cheesesteaks.

@flipflopped Love the litter box, cake! I would probably be skittish of that, too.  The party sounds like lots of fun!

H and I are going to to Home Depot tonight to pick out some new exterior doors (whoo!).  It's our first Friday off of HS football since August, so I'm going to enjoy just relaxing at home.  Tomorrow we're going to see Indiana play Maryland in college football with H's dad. I always enjoy visiting my alma mater, wishing I was back in college, running into a rude and/or crazy college kid, and again being okay with being almost 30.  No trick-or-treating or Halloween parties for us this year, though we should get a visit from Paw Patrol's Marshall (aka, my nephew) which will be fun.  Reminds me that I need to pick up some more candy - my supply has been depleted.

I don't have any major plans this weekend, I might go to the zoo on sunday if the weather holds up. I am CD 21 with what appears to be a delayed O. I started antibiotics yesterday for a UTI and am wondering if i should try to still BD or call it quits this cycle. what do you all do? dr google says to avoid sex while having a uti but dr google doesn't understand the desire to get pregnant right meow.

@flipflopped omg. That little turd hanging over the edge is really the icing on the cake  I don't know if I would eat it based on presentation alone, but A+ for creativity/realistic-ness!

@brooklyngirl18 my dr always said abstain during a UTI/treatment. Did you ask when you called for meds?

@szwill86 I didn't ask but I told the nurse I was borderline wto/ttw and trying. I know it's recommended to stop but I also don't want to miss my window all together. I'm so frustrated.

@brooklyngirl18 -2 is still great timing. FF analyzed the data their members input, and found that pregnancy charts almost always had sex recorded on at least one day between -2 and O. You're not out yet! Sorry for the UTI and frustration though. It definitely sucks!

You ladies have good plans for the weekend.  Not sure I could dig into the litter box cat! Lol.  I have two cats and I absolutely hate the litter box.  

Just put my DS to bed for the night.  DH and I are supposed to get busy tonight! Tomorrow is errands and finish cleaning the house.  Sunday is swim lessons for DS then a birthday party for nephew and then I have to teach Jazzercise.  This is the first weekend I have been home this month so I have a lot to catch up on.

AFM-  Going to have some vegan Pho for lunch with my pregnant friend (ugh) and then going to see Girl on a Train and binge on popcorn.  My friend just had her first ob apt since she got pregnant and I am sure I am going to have to endure all the details. I am trying to be a good friend but it's so hard.  I swear though, if she complains about her normal pregnancy one time, I'm outta there, and I'm taking the popcorn with me.

@brooklyngirl18  You're not out yet.  Fx for you. This whole TTC process has taught me that there are no black/white rules to getting KUed.  

No major plans this weekend.  Have been binge watching Teen Mom OG.  I watched it last week and it was pretty mindless.  I have watched so much TV this week.  DH is working til 2 am tonight.  We are going to go to the North End tomorrow in Boston which is like little Italy.  Hoping to get some nice pizza or pasta for lunch and then going to Mike's for chocolate covered, chocolate chip cannolis.  

Sunday - DH is working from 8 am - 12 am.  A new Nordstrom Rack opened up near my house so I think I will check that out.  I have not been in the mood to shop since we found out that the pregnancy wasn't going to make it.  I usually love shopping and browsing even when I don't buy  

The weather has been so cold and dreary in Boston.  So raw and cold.

Lots of good plans, it seems! And wow the kitty litter cake cracked me up lol!

Afm, I have to do a big grocery shop tomorrow and I prepped some gluten free pizza crusts today so we can make our own pizzas tomorrow night Then on Sunday we're carving pumpkins and roasting seeds (haha of course I am, @reneeannemm ) while watching Halloween movies

I feel silly because we got costumes and only wore them once but I really don't feel like going to any parties this weekend (plus I'm already bummed I can't go trick or treating with my niece and nephew because my brother's being a jerk and my EDD is on Tuesday ). A nice quiet halloweekend sounds perfect

The last 2 weekends I worked in Tacoma, WA and today I found out I will be working in South Carolina (random!) next weekend. So this weekend I will try not to do much at all . I'm roped into attending a pumpkin carving party but I'll probably drink wine and watch the artsy adults and kids do their thing. My candy's been in my closet since Monday out of sight...oooh the temptation...

@SP128 I had the most delicious Pho yesterday with tofu spring rolls and peanut sauce.  I think I had a dream about how good it was last night.  I've made my DH do all the chores this weekend.
