Hello all,
I just experienced a loss yesterday where I had to have a D&C done the same day. Had D&C done yesterday, heavy bleeding afterwards yesterday and today has just been spotting. Wondering how you ladies cope with it? How long did you have bleeding? When did you finally ovulate again after MC?

Personally, it took about 3 weeks for my very, very high HCG to crash to zero. I bled for about ten days and I spotted every single day after that until my next period. It started about 39 days after taking Misoprostol and I ovulated on CD 18. My next few cycles were a bit wonky, but have since regulated to about what they were previous.
After a miscarriage, there are a lot of different scenarios that might play out when it comes to your cycles. Take care!

As far as getting through it, this board really helps. There are a lot of very knowledgeable women here and everyone is very supportive. It has helped to be able to "talk" about things with very understanding internet "strangers" that you might not want to share with someone you know IRL. Exercise and therapy have also helped many of us get through it.

As for coping... still working on that, haha. My d&c was in July and it's still hard. Feels like it's getting harder the closer we get to my February EDD. I started seeing a therapist and that has helped. I also have been smoking a lot of weed, so probably not the healthiest method of coping, but I live in Colorado and figure I might as well take advantage.
I had a d & c in august. I bled for about 3.5 weeks. Not heavy and dark brown. Following the 3.5 weeks, when I exercised I had a bought of bright red blood. That happened twice and doctors told me my body was still recovering. I physically had zero pain. At about the 6 week mark I started my period. It seemed fairly normal but the 2nd period was a week late. Im now waiting to ovulate.
As far as emotionally healing....I was a mess for a few weeks. It got a little easier each day. I feel like the more I talked about with ladies on here and just about anyone who would listen the easier it got for me. I also feel like being able to try again right away made it easier for me. I'm 41 and we want to grow our family so time is not on my side. Leaning on my family was a big help too.
I agree reed that everyone is different when healing both physically and emotionally. Take care of yourself.
Emotionally, for me this board has been a blessing. Not many people knew I was pregnant and/or that we were trying, so it was a great outlet. I didn't post much initially but even reading everyone's comments and experiences helped me grieve and process the loss. Take care of yourself.
