After over 4 years of TTC, we are finally going in for our first IUI!
Here is my story:
DH and I met in 2009 and married April 2012. We started TTC immediately. I finally got a BFP 13 months later (May 2013) but had an incomplete miscarriage at 6 weeks and a subsequent D&C. We let nature take its course for a few months, but went in for testing with my OBGYN around October 2013. They told us multiple times that since we got a BFP right at a year of trying, we were not really considered infertile. Nevertheless, DH was also tested and everything came back normal so they gave us a few months of 50mg Clomid and sent us on our way. That did not work and we, again, decided to back off and let nature take its course. Looking back, I regret that. In October 2015 I finally saw an RE. He scheduled more tests, which all came back normal. He encouraged me to try Clomid again, but said, if i preferred, I could have a sonohysterogram instead. RE said that he did not think a sonohysterogram was necessary because, not only did DH and I conceive once before, but I also have a 12 year old boy from a previous marriage. After years of being told nothing was wrong but feeling like something was definitely wrong, I opted for the sonohysterogram. BEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE! The sonohysterogram was performed by a different RE and showed scar tissue filling my entire uterus and blocking one of my tubes. I fell in love with this new RE and finally had an answer. She speculated that the scar tissue was from the D&C. February 2016 I had surgery to have the scar tissue removed. Went in for follow up in March and was given the all clear. By August, still not getting that BFP, I requested another sonohysterogram, which showed inflammation in my uterus. After two cycles on steroids and not wanting to waste anymore time, I requested IUI, which we are starting this month. The actual procedure will be in November. After so many years of trying with no luck, its hard to have hope. I am hoping this little community will help

Wat an incredible journey.
I hv had a similar journey. I had 2 miscarriages one in 2013 June n one in sept.
Although after a long long wait of 2 yrs, my fertility expert just found out that I have endometriosis with atypia. I have been prescribed a very minimum period of 3 months to take progesterone harmone tablets, after which I'll be having a dnc and after that we are free to try again. I jus hope the dnc autopsy report says my prob is solved.
