Re: Weekly Symptoms Check in - 10/24/2016
The braxton hicks are so strong/frequent they wake me up (it just feels like I'm cuddling with a large rock, which is not comfortable and makes my front side achy). Rolling over or getting up makes them worse. Basically every time I get up to pee I get one. But again they don't happen nearly as much in the day!! Needless to say, I am sleeping less. ZzzZzz monday ugh ZzzZzz

Also, the back pain is damn near unbearable!! I'm having to rely more and more on DH to help me with simple things like getting out of the recliner or sitting up in bed. This is taking a huge emotional toll on me as well. Only a few day to go till baby.
I've had such an uneventful pregnancy, it's been enjoyable — so I'm having a rough time with the sudden onslaught of discomfort. 4 weeks and counting!

And I echo the cuddling with a rock feeling, @PrettyPalomino.
Anyone else dealing with "lightning crotch" (or "lightening" crotch - from baby's head dropping into position)? It comes and goes as she moves around, today it was almost unbearable and I came close to calling in sick. I can barely walk/stand up straight when it's happening, shooting pains in the crotch area that are accompanied with a ton of pressure... please tell me this doesn't just keep going until I deliver...
ETA: nvm about barely walking, it stops me in my tracks and I cannot walk while it happens!

Someone mentioned to me that my girl is on in the wrong side of my belly, making me more prone to a posterior delivery, which is something that scares me (I'm terrified to tear forward!!) but I read some information on Spinning Babies about how most babies flip to supine in labor and the way it was explained was so encouraging and nonchalant that I'm trying to focus on that. I'm a way, having no basis about what labor was like was good last time, this time there are still all the unknowns about what THIS labor and birth will be like with the added pressure of knowing how nice a birth can be and not meeting that same expectation. I'm probably over thinking the whole thing, and if any of you ladies know how to get my mind off of this huge/exciting/terrifying/amazing thing that's about to happen, I'll happily take your suggestions!
