DH threw a fit last night because I asked him to turn on the AC. It was 82 degrees on the main floor of our house and probably warmer upstairs where the bedrooms are. DS was sweating when I was putting him down and I hate being hot to sleep. He suggested that we just sleep with the windows open, but my allergies are too bad for that...so, in the end, I won. But really dude? Your pregnant wife wants some AC. TURN IT ON.
@SnarkasaurusRex I have the same problem with DH. Also the opposite problem where I'm afraid he won't turn on the heat until it's 55 or so in the house. I'm not even exaggerating. And I get cold very easily so unless I start gaining some weight to keep me warm, this winter could be awful.
My TW is just, grocery shopping. I have no patience for meal planning, and nausea has made it hard to even think about food. But now that nausea is fading I know I need to make good choices about what I buy and I'm having a hard time finding healthy snacks I actually want. And then I just get road rage in the store and there's always out of stock of what I want and I just dread going to the store at all. Ideally I just want to live on freezer meals I bought online and picked up at the store. But I'm not going to do that to this baby.
Househunting. It's just blows. And selling your own house is even worse.
Also my 20 month old won't stop pushing other kids when we are out and it's mortifying and making me crazy. No idea why he's picked this up recently, sure he's the youngest of 4, but his big siblings don't really mess with him at all. I guess I'm hoping he's just frustrated bc he's not talking yet and that things turn a corner when he starts to be better at communicating (pediatrician says not to worry till at least age 2). Ugh!!!!!!!
@SnarkasaurusRex@HGRich you guys would hate me! I grew up with my mom who would only turn on the heat if it was going to be below 32 and only turn on the AC if it was going to be above 100, so I'm pretty used to it. Now I give my husband grief if the AC/heat is turned on and it's not above or below the said temperatures. The bill is just too crazy!!
my TW is my co-worker. She just moved from California to Texas and EVERYTHING is "Well, in California we used to......." Just stop already! You're in Texas now, we do things differently, get over it!
My kids are driving me bonkers. They aren't sleeping enough at night which makes them exhausted, fighting, clingy, whiny, and make-mom-miserable before 10am moods. You'd think with such little sleep, they would crash either at naptime or bedtime? Nope! The 2yo barely naps for an hour and the two are still awake an hour past their bedtimes.
I give up. Most days feel like damage control than parenting!
My mothers family. We have passes to Disney and they are bringing it cousins kids to Florida for a week and going to Disney. For 3 months they have facetimed DD telling her they are coming to go to Disney with her. Today they decide they don't want any attention taken away from my cousins son for even a day so they no longer want her to come. SERIOUSLY! how do you do that to a toddler, after literally telling her last week you were coming to go to Disney with her.
Needless to say we will not be seeing them at all. I understand making it special for my cousins son, but to get a 3 year olds hopes up and change your mind for no reason. I've never been so mad.
TW to my co-worker. She cannot eat with her mouth closed! We share an office, and she eats every meal at her desk. I'm about to loose it right now as I can hear lips smacking together. I want to throw up, and smack the food out of her hand at the same time.
@rachelmiller03 DH does this from time to time and it drives me nuuuuuuuuuts!!!! I've probably gotten less nice about it too since being pregnant, haha!
