how true is it that if you are having a girl you'll have morning sickness and if you having a boy you won't?

For my first, I was sick until week 18 and I had a girl. This time I've only thrown up once so far and I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow. Every pregnancy is different though. My mom was sick with me and not my sister.

My first pregnancy was a girl and I puked until 20 weeks. My second and third were boys and I also puked until 20 weeks. I got my BFP yesterday and I'm already sick and vomiting. It's the worst part of pregnancy for me. I don't think the sex makes any difference.

I don't believe in wives tales- but just for fun I suppose, I had terrible morning sickness with baby #1 from 6 weeks - 25 weeks and had a girl. I have terrible morning sickness again starting at 6 weeks (almost 8 weeks now) so we'll see if there's a pattern.
